Upon arriving to the rental after a long day of travel, we were stunned to find luggage belonging to OTHER people in our reserved rental. It was highly concerning how these other people were able to access the rental in the first place given the code for entry is based on the last four of your cell phone number. When I finally got a hold of a representative and explained what we observed, the representative had the audacity to nonchalantly tell me to move the other uncontracted patrons' belongings into the living room so that when they returned from a concert at God knows what time that night, they can just come into our rental to get their stuff. I'm sorry but WHAT? You want me to allow strangers into my rental I paid for? They clearly did not care for our discomfort or safety to even suggest this. I had to insist the rental company send their own people to clean out these patrons' belongings and take photos to prevent any liability on my part. That same night, after they claimed no other code could access the house, I immediately told them I wanted a full refund for the first night stay. The representative said the owners will call me on Monday morning to discuss. That phone call never came. AFTER I filled out their survey, I got an email saying they were refunding $100 and a $200 credit towards a future stay. I emailed back immediately and stated I had already asked for a full refund and in light of everything we endured, that is what is appropriate. My email was ignored for a whole day. It wasn't until my friends started leaving reviews detailing the FACTS of what happened that the rental company then emailed me back stating they removed the offer of the future discount based on our feedback and that they are no longer going to consider additional refund. Unprofessional - you speak the truth and they hold that against you and don't do what is right. I am leaving a screenshot of that email on my review for EVERYBODY to see. They cannot claim that as of yesterday was when I first asked for the full refund for the first night - I asked for it the first night we were trying to check in! It's been days. Absolute TRASH company. Go stay at another rental or hotel. In the least, if you have to deal with unprofessional management, you will be SAFER

I found The Lofts at the Market through my Amex hotel portal and honestly had zero regrets booking it! The two-bedroom unit was so nice and super spacious. Everything was incredibly clean. I was mainly in contact with Emily and Jill, and they were both so responsive and accommodating throughout my entire stay. Everything is handled through text, but if anything urgent comes up they're available by phone. Anytime I needed something--like extra towels or ice--I got it right away. Check-in, the stay itself, and check-out were all seamless. There's no lobby, which didn't bother me at all. There's a little market walk downstairs with restaurants, though some were closed since we came during the week. But downtown is super walkable, so it wasn't an issue. We really enjoyed staying here and would definitely book again when we're in the area. Thanks again to Jill and Emily for making everything so easy!

Let me start by saying, I've stayed at Cava Robles RV Resort - Sun Outdoors Paso Robles before, and…read morehonestly, I used to love this place. The customer service was always on point, the grounds were spotless, and the bar/food situation was generally better than you'd expect from an RV resort. That's actually why we wanted to come out for Spring Break--and why we brought another family with us. Right off the bat, things felt... a little off. When we pulled into our RV spots, both fire pits (ours and our friends') were full of ash and old, charred wood. Not a huge deal--we don't even really use them--but it was noticeable. Ours was also broken (one leg completely off), which just added to the "hmmm... okay" impression. It wasn't terrible, just definitely not what we remembered. We had planned to kick off the trip with dinner at the bar the first night. Turns out--it's closed on Wednesdays. That one's on us for not checking ahead, but still a bit of a buzzkill. The next day, we figured we'd make up for it with lunch and drinks. This is where things really went sideways. The bartender/server was great--super nice, clearly trying--but every single order turned into, "I'm so sorry... we don't have that." No fries. No chicken fingers (which, with kids, is basically a crisis). Same drink menu as always... but almost none of the ingredients to actually make the drinks. I eventually simplified my order to tequila on the rocks with a lime. "I'm sorry... we don't have limes." At that point, I actually went back to my RV, cut up a couple of limes, and brought them to the bar. I wish I was joking. I don't even know if they used them--but that kind of says it all. From what we were told, everything was "supposed to be restocked"... it just hadn't happened yet. Which raises a pretty obvious question--who exactly was in charge of getting this place ready for Spring Break? We ended up driving into town to buy our own drinks, mixers, and food. Not exactly the resort experience we were planning on. We hung out around the pool and bar area afterward, and even that felt like it had slipped a bit. Chairs scattered everywhere, toys left out, cushions dusty with leaves--it just didn't have that clean, dialed-in feel we remembered. Later that evening, we thought it'd be fun to rent a golf cart and cruise around, meet people, explore a bit. Called the front desk... and learned that even though they're open 24 hours, golf cart rentals are on a strict 2 PM pick-up / 11 AM drop-off schedule. So if I rented one at 7 PM, I'd still have to return it by 11 AM the next day... for $140. Or wait until 2 PM the next day and miss the whole morning. So basically, no matter what, you're paying for less than a full day. Look--I'm not saying this trip ruined the place for me; it will remain in the rotation of places to consider. But it felt like visiting your favorite restaurant only to find half the menu gone and the rest "temporarily unavailable." As a "Public Service Announcement" for management, this also feels like a missed opportunity for you. This place can be great--I've seen it. But this time around, it just wasn't firing on all cylinders... and honestly, it feels like you are leaving both good impressions and DEFINITELY revenue on the table. PS-my wife says, "have better, cuter, and just more selections in your main store!"

Santellan Vineyards immediately stood out for feeling warm, family-centered, and genuinely connected to the kind of relaxed hospitality that still makes Paso Robles wine country feel special. Even through the event itself, you could feel the collaborative spirit behind the Pleasant Valley Wine Trail wineries -- people supporting one another instead of competing for attention. I especially appreciate that the PVWT wineries also help support local agricultural scholarships and education efforts throughout the community. Beautiful wines are wonderful. Beautiful people matter more. A genuinely lovely evening all around, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again at the Under the Estrella Sky Charity Dinner in August.

I found this rental while researching venues for an engagement party. Looks nice from pictures and…read morevideos, but dealing with the owner was difficult. In addition to the $750 event fee, she requires that both suites be rented for a minimum of THREE nights (almost $2000). This not only is an exorbitant rate, but seems absurd considering we would only need the space for one evening. Still, I was willing to consider it as a retreat for the bride-to-be. The owner also stated that she would need to have final approval over our caterer, which struck me as utterly bizarre. When I inquired about viewing the property physically, she did not respond for nearly a week and I had to contact her again before receiving an answer. We set up an appointment, only to be informed that she would be away, but she would "leave a list" with her husband if we had any questions. The day before our appointment, she emailed to say they had people checking in early and that we either needed to reschedule or we could still come, but we would only be able to view the outside of the property. Considering the price point, I opted to reschedule. Then two days before our second scheduled appointment, I received an email from her with a "heads up" that she and her husband both had to be in SLO BY NOON, so please be on time for our appointment - our 11AM appointment that she had already rescheduled once and was now going to be rushing through so they could get off to SLO. I found the insinuation that I would not be punctual quite insulting. At this point, I determined that as pretty as the setting looks in their ads, continuing to deal with the owner was not worth the hassle. My advice to others is to look elsewhere, as I am doing. There are lots of wonderful venues in and around Paso that are operated by much more pleasant and reliable individuals.
