I recently started my search for a skin care professional and came across Inner Imagine. On my first call to the office I was brushed off and told they were too busy to speak to me. I asked if they could call me back and they responded they would--no call was made. The next day, I'm looking through my options again and gave Inner Imagine a try again. I'm immediately shut me down when I ask some simple questions about a procedure. No options to get more info, just shut down at the onset. I ask what the process to learn more and the tone on how to setup a consultation left me feeling that this was not a business I want to work with at all. I went in for Genius Laser. During the consultation, I was told I needed ~$20k of laser and filler treatment. I subsequently went in for Ulthera to lift my brow. It hurt like hell - just brutal and simply did not work. I called and emailed the office a half dozen times about the lack of results and could not get the professional courtesy of a response. I know things do always go perfectly, and I am a big believer that when a vendor doesn't deliver to their promise, its how they treat their customer after they make a mistake that is a sign of their integrity. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend finding another dermatologist to assist you with your needs. read more

I've been a patient of Jen's for about ten years now. I look better now than I did when I first started seeing her. I've always found her to be upfront about what I did and did not need, what would and would not work. There have been a number of times when I've asked her to do a procedure and she's told me either I wasn't a good candidate, or she could do it but I wouldn't like the results. I appreciate that. I feel she is experienced in all the services she offers. She is particularly good with Dysport and fillers for me. I have seen other people when I couldn't get over to Mill Valley from the City, but they just weren't as good as Jen. I'm happy with her and the service from her team. read more

I have to strongly echo the first reviewer. There were errors in the communications I got (e.g. wrong name, wrong body parts, etc) and then I was blown off repeatedly each time I questioned this. When I finally reached Jen, I found her to be scattered and only able to provide unacceptable excuses (e.g. i don't actually read the emails sent in my name) or blame her staff (e.g. no one ever gave me any of your messages). My interactions spanned several months and I would not write such a review if this were a one or even two-time event. Jen may well be an artist, but the real sign of a professional is how they handle their mistakes. Are they accountable, responsive, reflective and honest? If you want a professional working on your face and body, having an artist (which i cannot attest to) is not enough. If you are lucky enough not to have an issue or want to focus on a different body part than Jen wishes to focus, maybe it will be just fine. But if something comes up, you should feel confident the person with whom you are working is going to be a professional. I had no confidence and decided to forgo treatment in exchange for going back to my doctor in the City. For a new 40-year old that really wanted to get some work done, leaving Jen's office without having the procedure I'd scheduled is about as strong a disapproval as one can give! read more

Pros: Jennifer Constantin is an artist with injectables. Her work gives me a natural uplifted beauty. The office is aesthetically pleasing with plenty of free parking. The skincare lines offered are top notch. Cons: I often feel my appointments are rushed. Jennifer is the main provider and therefore is in high demand. My main dissatisfaction is the lack of follow up after purchasing the recommended skincare products. I spent $800+ on the recommended protocol and never has there been a follow up regarding progress or efficacy. See Jennifer for the best injectable results, otherwise I believe there are better options for facials and other non-invasive procedures. read more

Before I wrote this yelp on Jen. I reread the reviews that had been written about her. I was surprised given all her clients, that she only had 7 yelp reviews and 2 of those were only 1 star. I first met Jennifer for a consult, & was overwhelmed because she talks so quickly, and gave me too much information. When I would ask anything she said, "let me finish". Basically, there was no interchange, and I got the feeling she "knew" what was best for me. I was concerned with what seemed like a need to be in control. I decided to proceed with a very expensive plan for my face, about $8,000. At that appointment, I mentioned that the other practitioners had been only doing injectables and she seemed to agree with me that the others weren't doing it as she thought best. She mentioned having other clients who had been unhappy with Dr. Welsh, one of the doctors who I had been to see. I scheduled a dermal infusion prior to the micro-needling treatment, which was confirmed on 3-4 occasions, including the morning of the procedure. My appointment was early. I was sitting in my car ready to go to her office when Jen called to cancel the appointment. I said, "after you confirmed it three times," and she said "let me finish". She told me one of her employees had Coronavirus. I said, "I understand, let's talk about moving on," but she continued to talk. I said that's not necessary, let's talk about how we can move forward from here. I was pretty surprised to read a general letter written to all her clients explaining that they had to cancel appointments because they hadn't realized the SIP was in effect. I wondered why there was no mention of the infected employee and if people who had been in contact with that employee were going to be told. I should mention while they were closed Jennifer told me about two helpful things: A Light Stim for Acne and a quality exfoliant that her office sent me. Both were helpful and helped me forget my initial concerns. The day arrived for my dermal infusion. As I was lying on the table about to start the procedure, Jennifer said a troubling thing, "Your skin is so exfoliated that you might not see much change after the procedure." I'm thinking, then why am I about to spend $250, but I didn't say anything. I brought up that her office had sent me an exfoliant and she seemed unable to figure out which product that was. After the dermal infusion was done, Jen did a body consult on the lower and upper abs. Before we started, I wanted to clarify where I was headed with my upcomin face procedures. I said, "It's important to make sure that there's going to be significant improvement in the facial areas we discussed." Instead of any reassurance or anecdotal examples of other clients, she responded in a way that didn't address what I had just said: "I'll be doing my best, and I can't guarantee a 100%." I felt that was a complete diversion from the concern I raised. Then we started discussing the upper and lower abs. Once again a lot of ideas, too many details and no exchange between us. She told me that the procedure she recommended would definitely strengthen my core, and maybe my stomach would be slightly flatter. I was only interested in a procedure that would make the stomach flatter. Then we discussed the upper abs and again a suggested procedure and other smaller procedures tacked onto to the primary one. Way too much information. She had to let me know that the person who had removed the fat from my upper abs did it poorly. All this negativity was part of the overwhelm. I left and my face felt fine. When I looked in the mirror, I was quite upset to see 10 abrasions under my eye. I called the next morning, expressed concern and also mentioned that I had felt overwhelmed the previous day. I was told someone would call me later and when no one got back to me, I called at 4:00 and was told that the abrasions were normal and would go away. I checked that I was still on for the Botox appointment Monday and Gwen confirmed that appointment. On Monday, I was handed a letter written by Jen firing me. "Didn't you get this letter,"the woman asked? I looked down at the letter Jen wrote herself and she had misspelled my first name and had used the wrong email address! Jen made excuses why the email hadn't been sent earlier because "she had problems with Outlook, and her internet connection." Picking up the phone never crossed her mind. She outlined the medical details she used with the dermal infusion and made a reference to the fact I had been exfoliating my skin. The settings of the equipment were irrelevant to the problems that occurred. The fact she wrote so much about these settings made me think the abrasions weren't normal. Had she realized I had been exfoliating, she might have delayed the procedure. She actually referred me to Dr. Walsh, despite her knowledge of problems w her care. I was told how many happy clients Jen had, but only 5 positive reviews. Hmmm... read more

I've been going to Jennifer on and off for over ten years. Living in San Francisco, it's been a bit inconvenient to travel to Marin for her treatments, but the journey across the bridge has been worth it. As the previous reviewer stated, she is honest about what would work and what wouldn't. As a seasoned pro, she knows what she is doing, and I trust her judgment. Unfortunately Jen Constantine has moved her business from SF to Mill Valley. Clients beware! You will be sold a very costly "treatment plan" and there is no follow up with regard to results, just more recommendations. I had to beg to have after photos taken only to be completely blown off by Jen who refused to take my calls or see me for a follow up appointment. Unprofessional, unaccountable, unreputable. I just saw a one star review when I was looking up the phone number to make my next appointment and needed to add a real patient review. I've been going to see Jen for the past 4+ years, have gotten Botox, Restalyn, Perlane, IPL, and other services from her. She is the only person I would trust to do my fillers. She is a true artist and the treatment plan she creates does yield real results. I'm currently 35 years old and consistently am mistaken as being in my early to mid 20's. The treatments are expensive, but not more expensive than other places and, it is your face after all, a bad place to test out low cost cosmetic treatments. At least in my opinion. Also, her team takes photos twice a year (although they let me skip them last time because I was so exhausted and didn't feel like doing it, which was considerate). I have no idea what the other reviewer could be talking about she must not have actually been a patient. read more
