Half taco salad with chicken tinga. So good.

Always delicious! Nice people, big menu, excellent food. And the green salsa ... I don't know what it is but we love it.

I have driven by this place many times, don't pass it up again, GO INSIDE and ENJOY what they have to offer. It's rather small inside, but great for a quick bite. I are usually don't make comments about the bathroom, but this place was really impressive...compared to what the rest of the establishment looks like...truly upscale bathrooms ....they are, clean, neat, and again upscale. So back to the food. You are served with the red salsa and the avocado Verde salsa (I don't know what it's called) it's the light green in one of the photos. I have gluten sensitivities and the tortilla chips here, settled down fine. I enjoyed the guacamole and the El pastor taco that had pineapple in the sauce! I dooo wish they had pineapple available. The flavor on the enchiladas were excellent!

Brother's Grill has good tasting tacos. I ordered a Bistec a la Mexicana dish but they added some red type of sauce which throws the meat way off. I wasn't happy with this dish compared to other local authentic Mexican restaurants.

Taco 3 Tacos Dinner. Fish, pastor and chile relleno. All very good.

I dunno. I gave this place four stars originally but I honestly can't get over how damn good it is. I'm back and throwin down the five stars! Their salsas...have...FLAVOR. Their enchiladas are LEGIT. Their chicken tortilla soup which honestly isn't really "Mexican" per se is F____G DELICIOUS. I am a regular here now

I work in hodgkins and I've tried a plethora of Mexican spots. This is hands down the best one. They have the most amazing food. The green sauce is to die for. 10 out of 10 recommend every time. Suggest the pastor chinichanga and smother it in green sauce. You mouth will thank you. The staff is super welcoming. I never want to get tacos from anywhere else while I'm at work.

This is my go to taco place! (Bonus: they have a taco Tuesday deal) I keep going back because of their steak tacos/nachos, guacamole & watermelon water! I have tried the jibarito, it was good but I didn't care for the Puerto Rican rice- didn't taste authentic.

So it's probably because I ordered food close to closing time, but the food was not up to it's usual standards. The nachos were supposed to have beans, but they were not present. An overload of sour cream was meant to compensate, but just made me grossed out. A $6 cheese quesadilla was small and greasy. The chile rellano tacos were decent, but lacking some flavor. My children enjoyed their steak torta. Delivery and tip were pretty much covered when you factor in their $10 off dinner coupon, but when all said and done it was around $46 for four menu items. Too rich for my blood!

The chips and salsa were very tasty and the tacos were amazing!!! The customer service was also excellent, the waitress greeted us as soon as we walked in and took our order as soon as we were ready, they were also very friendly. The place is newly remodeled and looks clean. We will definitely go back to try more dishes!

    Empanada

I was excited to try this restaurant after reading the reviews. I came with my husband he ordered the jibarito and he said it was over cooked. The tostones were a little more crispy than I'm used to but very tasty. Sadly the chicken in my flautas was dry and they were overcooked. The empanadas were so hard I couldn't bite into them. The beef inside was greasy and over cooked.

    Southwest steak salad

I ordered online in the past and it was great, today we came in and did not meet our expectations my wife ordered the southwest steak salad and they deep fried her steak it tasted like grease she didn't even eat it.

    Cuban sandwich, Yum!

I used to go to Jibaritos on Harlem in the Portage Park/Dunning neighborhood because I used to live in the northwest side, but now I live in the southside. I'm completely obsessed with jibaritos and the chicken one is the best one in my opinion. Customer Service: Every time I order whether that is a pick up order that I place through the phone or dinning in, the staff members are all very welcoming and polite. I feel like the same guy takes my order every time I order on the phone for pick up or in-person and he's the best. Kudos to you! You're doing an amazing job & keep doing what you're doing! Food/Drinks: They have a lot delicious options from food to drinks. My go-to order is a chicken jibarito, 3-4 sorullos (Puerto Rican corn fritters), and a large ice cold parcha (passion fruit) drink. It's the best!!! I'm craving it right now as I write this Yelp review lol. Overall Experience: Overall, I aways have a great experience eating at Jibaritos y Mas whether that is eating in my car or eating inside the restaurant. They prepare the food within a decent time and always comes out deliicous. I highly recommend this place that those that want to try Puerto Rican food or Puerto Rican food lovers. I hope this review helps Jibaritos y Mas & its current and future customers.

Despite that I made my own lunch today I decided to splurge and give it a try. I've had Puerto Rican food before but it's usually up in the north side of Chicago and that in the south side especially by Midway airport. Anyways the rellanos de Papa was delicious and the feelings were b however the portion seem to be small that's why I'm glad I ordered too usually some of the Puerto Rican restaurants on north make their rellanos de Papa bigger. There bistec platter with fresh salad and Puerto Rican rice was delicious however their portions were small too. The bistec had a red sauce versus oily fried sauteed sauce with onion taste. They had a different take on it. I drank it with the traditional Malta India beverage like on picture. I finished it up with a cocoa flan. I would come back again it was actually up the par with the Puerto Rican restaurants up north it's just I'm surprised the portions are smaller and they didn't serve water. Thus 4 out of 5 stars. Service was pretty friendly and quick. Ambience had a more modern feel with the Puerto Rican Caribbean Spanish music in the background. This is my first time coming and yeah I would recommend if you are craving for Puerto Rican and you're at Midway airport now that I know where this is at

We ordered a volcan with steak in red sauce (mofongo relleno de bistec en salsa), breaded chicken breast and lechón with arroz con gandules. The food was spectacular! Everything was very well seasoned and reminded me of home (born and raised in PR, moved here as an adult). I would definitely recommend that anyone come here for authentic Puerto Rican food. A friend and I decided to hit the Humboldt Park area (Western/Division) and take in some Borinqueña atmosphere and sights. After walking up and down Division Street awhile we stumbled upon Papa's Cache Sabroso. The place was jumping! The weather was amazingly gorgeous and outdoor seating was packed. There was a line for seating and takeout. The friendly host was doing an amazing job of keeping it all organized. We chose takeout and ordered a steak Jibarito con arroz y gandules and a side order of plátano maduro all totaling $22.27. As another reviewer noted it is a tad pricey but not overly so. It took about 20+ minutes to get the food...but like their sign states, something on the order of, "this is not a fast food place and good food takes time, please be patient". The Jibarito tasted good overall like other Jibaritos I've had in the past, however my friend commented that although the steak was flavorful, it was a tad chewy and I would slightly agree. The mayo, tomato and garlic kind of brings it all together for me, but I would've liked way more garlic...and there was even a small container of garlic "sauce", but it was very light on the mashed garlic paste. Whenever I dipped my plátano maduro, I couldn't get any pieces of garlic on until most of the olive oil was gone. The rice was standard and flavorful and I really did enjoy the plátano maduro. I would probably return to try the garlic chicken.
