I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Han yesterday when she checked my teeth after my regular cleaning. I had a chipped tooth that needed attention. Dr. Han restored it perfectly. I honestly don't even know where to start...I had put off going to the dentist for years because of two things...lack of insurance and I knew that I needed a bunch of work which meant $$$ and being just plain old scared. Finally after a year of having insurance I knew I needed to go for my own health. There are sooo many dentists out there but Insight Dentistry had the best reviews and so I took a gamble. Came into Insight Dentistry because I was having some mild tooth pain. Dr. Krishnan not only identified the trouble and prescribed some medicinal toothpaste, he also caught a small cavity that I hadn't even known about. Came in again this morning to get it filled, and to get a full cleaning and the whole process took maybe an hour. This was by far the smoothest dental visit I've ever had, and I've gotten cavities filled a couple times now. Dr. Krishnan and Noemi, who took my x-rays and helped with the procedure, were both extremely friendly and warm. They made it easy for me to relax and their professional-class teamwork meant the whole thing was over and done way faster than I expected. So nobody likes going going to the dentist. But Dr. Krishnan is passionate, caring and a perfectionist about his work. He always makes sure you are well numbed and will immediately stop if you feel any discomfort. Also our twin 3 year olds are even excited to go for their checkups. Amazing....The staff is friendly as hell and they have Netflix in the ceiling above your chair so you can watch whatever you want while getting drilled on. Oh and the chair massages too. As for the service...I've never had such an in depth consultation and the work we've done so far has been a breeze. Cant recommend Insight enough. Was here a couple of weeks ago when I was fitted for two crowns. A temporary was placed. Went on vacation for over two weeks and had no problems. I have been wanting to write a review for Dr. Krishnan and the team for about a year - since I started coming to see them - but am glad I waited because now I can post the "before and after" photos of their work. I had been impressed with Dr. Krishnan's Yelp reviews, and also the fact that he had been fully trained and practicing in India and THEN did dental school AGAIN at top-rated USC (receiving multiple awards) when he came to the US. So I came about a year ago for routine x-rays, cleaning, and some fillings and a crown. I also asked Dr. Krishnan if he could shorten my 2 front teeth, because it seemed like my smile was off - even after having braces as a teen and also a previous round of Invisalign with an orthodontist in Miami. He agreed my bite was terrible - and I didn't even know what he meant when he said I had only 1 "contact point." He suggested a more complete treatment plan with Invisalign, and I am SO glad I did it! After 6 months of treatment, I have my smile back (and he says there are now at least 8 points of contact :) Dr. Krishnan and the whole team are excellent, and it is a very nice environment to have dental work done! I often hear him with other patients and he is always happy, courteous, and also wonderful with children. They also work with you on payments and dental insurance questions. This place made me happy to go to the dentist for the first time in my life. They don't do anything unnecessarily, everyone is sooo nice, the noise canceling head phones and Netflix on the tv on the ceiling was a huge perk. Office is clean, practices are super clean/sterile (observed lots of hand washing) I loved the personalized care my family and I received here. I'm actually going to make it back in 6 months when I'm supposed to. Also I had my babysitter watch my 3 month old daughter in the waiting room and i was nervous about it but the office staff was happy to have her cooing and squawking away, and the dental hygienist even said that if at any time I needed to pause and go nurse or care for my baby it would be no problem at all!! Netflix and a massage chair are evidently the key to success when it comes to the comfort of a patient! I have not been to the dentist for years out of fear of pain from past dentists. HOWEVER, Dr. Krishnan and staff were very accommodating (and didn't shame me for not having been in so long )! They took me in last-minute for a tooth ache and after X-rays showed me what was happening. An incredible dentist with an excellent staff. Dr. Krishnan is knowledgable and incredibly diligent. He has an educated and experienced answer for any question I have about my dental health. As well I appreciate his conservative approach to dental care and am confident that he'll help me hang onto my teeth as long as possible. In my experience, the staff and technicians at Insight always show great attitudes and nothing (dental work, paper work, etc.) is ever a problem. I know that it is hard to believe any business could receive nothing but five star reviews, unless they were handing cash out at the door. Dr. Krishnan and his staff don't hand you actual dollars, but they come pretty darned close and they do it with a smile. Three days before I was about to head out on a 3 week road trip I broke a tooth. Sucks to be me because I never got myself a dentist when I moved to Ventura... two years before. Oops. Dr. Krishnan was recommended to me by a friend and was willing to take me in as an emergency new patient. During that visit, he sealed the tooth as best as he could, then counseled me about my options leaving town, including giving me his cellphone number and then calling in an antibiotic prescription to a pharmacy in San Francisco when I called him crying from my car two days later. (I actually had to have the tooth pulled in SF, but that is a whole other story.) Since that visit, Dr. Krishnan has been instrumental in helping me to overcome my hatred (yes, actual hatred) of dentists. Each visit we discuss what my treatment plan is and, much like a very understanding mechanic, lets me know what needs to happen immediately versus what I can wait on. He has also helped me to avoid 2 root canals (read: $$$) and walked me through how to get better dental insurance coverage when we switched plans and my coverage dried up. What doctor does that? As for the pain index, I won't say I have never had pain. Not possible. But instead of something close to the prisoner of war-like experiences that I've had in the past, we're talking more like an eyebrow waxing... uncomfortable but manageable. He is always watching to see how I am handling the procedure and willing to alter directions if things are becoming unbearable for me. V and Vanessa are so sweet and I look forward to catching up with them every time. It has taken a year, but now I seriously look more forward to my dentist appointments than facials. Truth be told, throw me into a massage chair, load "The Blacklist" on an embedded ceiling TV with Netflix and I won't complain. I loved that he told us a little bit about himself and not just go over my concerns, but also further explained what was going on with my dental care, what was necessary and what could wait.
