Great cookies overall but the service is a hit or miss at this location. The quality of the cookies my last two visits have not been the best, hard and borderline burnt. Out of the four employees that I typically see on my visits, one of them typically wears gloves when handling food. I watched one employee have her nail in a bag that she was placing cookies into and unfortunately, this is the same employee that said out loud she was ready to go home as she went through the doors to get something from the back, loud enough for me and the other customers standing there to hear her. I personally would prefer to go to the location near Plaza Midwood. Exciting to finally go to insomnia cookies in Charlotte ! I'm late to the game lol but love this spot so was ready to try it here. For them to only sale cookies the line was long and slow moving. I was confused by that. The cookies are not on display just the ice cream which may be normal but underwhelming. I got the salted caramel deluxe cookie which was $4.69 pre tax. Fairly hefty price in my opinion so expect a great cookie. The cookie was fresh and hot ! A delicious cookie BUT the middle was SOFT/ mushy- disappointing. I wish I could give 5 stars as I was excited to go here but the length of time we waited for a mushy cookie was unfortunate. I think the line may have pressured them to take it out out one minute too soon but that's my opinion. The place is small but clean as well which is nice. A district manager need to get involved. This is the worst customer service I've experienced. The manager is the bottom of the barrel if she really is a manager. Clearly she doesn't know how to handle situations. A store full of people and they are backed up. The manager wasn't taking orders for a store full of people and no one is saying nothing! The worst service I've ever experienced. This was HORRIBLE! I will NEVER visit this location ever again they need to figure out customer service and I would give them zero stars if possible! The manager walked her lazy self up and with zero explanation and the workers was avoiding eye contact to even tell people they were not accepting orders. Apparently they were backed up by 50 orders and only taking online orders. Instead of saying that, they had a lobby full of customers and not one person said a thing! Close this place down asap!!! I've only been inside as a patron once or twice. Delivery is what I normally get and I've done it pretty regularly for a few years now. I would say service has gone down over the past year. I'm not sure if the management or ownership changed or what, but the service and cookie quality have both declined! Receiving cold cookies, extended delivery times (2 hours), having to call an off site customer service number rather than being able to speak with someone at the actual store, etc. Overall, the quality and service has gone down drastically. As of late, I've received my order left at my front door; not by my request. No notification. I have to call customer service to track my order. The app, which is how I've been ordering, typically won't update when trying to track an order, it always says "baking". When I called the customer service number this particular time, she informed me that my order was delivered. I checked and there it was. No bag, no additional packaging...just a box of cookies sitting on my doormat...yeah no thanks! Fast forward to tonight, placed an order and it was dropped at my door...AGAIN! I called for a refund this time. I don't want a coupon for 6 free cookies when I order 6. I won't be ordering for a while. Hopefully my reward dollars won't expire. The app gives you the option for three different delivery methods; of you aren't going to comply, don't give it to me as an option.
