Exciting to finally go to insomnia cookies in Charlotte ! I'm late to the game lol but love this spot so was ready to try it here. For them to only sale cookies the line was long and slow moving. I was confused by that. The cookies are not on display just the ice cream which may be normal but underwhelming. I got the salted caramel deluxe cookie which was $4.69 pre tax. Fairly hefty price in my opinion so expect a great cookie. The cookie was fresh and hot ! A delicious cookie BUT the middle was SOFT/ mushy- disappointing. I wish I could give 5 stars as I was excited to go here but the length of time we waited for a mushy cookie was unfortunate. I think the line may have pressured them to take it out out one minute too soon but that's my opinion. The place is small but clean as well which is nice. Easily fixable issues though so I hope they read this.
This place is absolutely delicious! I ate the Cookie'wich with two White Chocolate Macadamia cookies and caramel ice cream. The cookie was a little warm with the two scoops of creamy caramel ice cream so it melted some. I would recommend this ice cream shop. Btw there is some seating but limited.
I can honestly say I made 2 trip to this location in less than 3 weeks. I stopped purchasing cookies from Insomnia because my orders were ALWAYS incorrect. So I was optimistic about this order. The service at the front counter was prompt. One order I placed online and I still had to wait but not long. Both orders the cookies were made fresh and as delicious as I remember.
What's better than warm cookies? Love the cookies at insomnia. I definitely prefer them over crumbl any day. I enjoy the classic cookies with classic flavors. However, they also offer some deluxe flavors and extras like ice cream and ice cream cookie sandwiches. This week they offered a free 6 pack for teachers which was definitely a plus for this educator!
$5 for a "deluxe" cookie, definitely can make multiples getting a cookie dough pack from the store. I got the oatmeal chocolate one, although good but definitely not worth the price to me. I'd be hard pressed to go again.
A warm cookie that feels like it's straight out of the oven. What's not to love?!? My go-to cookie continues to be the S'mores. It's on the Deluxe menu which means it's larger and more expensive. But for the occasional treat, it definitely hits the spot!

Plus, the biggest downfall, customer service (the employee was completely off putting and lackluster) and cleanliness (it was so messy and dirty inside). I won't knock a tasty cookie, because they surely were, but this isn't a place I'd need to revisit.

Okay so I'll say they've redeemed themselves in by book based on my recent visit (07/11/23)! They were actually taking orders in person and they weren't crowded at all on a Tuesday afternoon. I got the 3 classic OG cookies ( I made that name up lol) which was chocolate chip, peanut butter, and snickerdoodle. They were all pretty tasty with a nice chip to cookie ratio too! Way better than the last few times I've bee. I guess I MAY come back again lol.
So I went hee for the first time after visiting the location uptown a few weeks earlier. I walked in and no one was at the register. The gentleman come to assist from the back. It looked like he was preparing cookies for baking. The first thing he says to me is, "what can I get you?" No hello, no welcome to Insomnia Cookies, etc. Just straight to the point. I don't require much from customer service but I do like to be greeted. I quickly asked for two chocolate chunk cookies and a small vanilla ice cream. Yes the cookies were warm and ooyie gooyie. The combination of a warm cookie and cold ice cream...mmmm mmmm so great. So I give the product 5 stars but the service was lacking so I knocked it down a few stars. I will still go back for the warm cookies.
Late night snacky snack with a munchy attack! Warm, sweet, melty goodness. Totally worth the wait, there's several to choose from including seasonal favorites. I'm a classic CC cookie girl but their macadamia nut is flame.
Delicious! I don't remember how I came accross this place but when I saw the pictures of the cookies I had to find it. I placed my order online to pick up at 1 pm. I got 6 deluxe cookies and a pint of ice cream for $27. I got to the store and they could not find my order (just like so many other reviewers said). The employee was apologetic and very nice. He explained their system was down earlier. I couldn't help but laugh when I thought about all the other patrons who left reviews with a similar experience. 15 minutes later I had my cookies and boy oh boy it was worth the wait. Soft and moist and textured and sexy. DELICIOUS! I will definitely return. Took off 1 star because of the lost order issue.
I just tried these cookies recently and they are delicious! I tried the 3 cookie order with M&M cookie, peanut butter chip and chocolate chunk. Then today I got the same and added peanut butter cup, and the sugar cookie with the white chocolate chips and confetti. These are my new favorite cookies. (Already at half of the sugar cookie in my picture, I couldn't wait ) read more

I had some snicker doodles delivered. The grub driver was very polite and professional in delivering my cookies. I love insomnia cookies. I have been in the store for their cookies but this is the first time having them delivered. The salted caramel cookies are good, and the snicker doodles I love the best. If I had one critique it would be that my cookies were baked just a little longer for my taste. The ends were slightly crispy but overall soft. If you haven't been to insomnia cookies I encourage you guys to check them out. Their cookies are really good! The team are very friendly and they make their cookies to order. I usually go in person but since I'm working I had them delivered. Thank you guys for being friendly and professional and same to grub hub. read more

These hot and gooey cookies are delicious! I got my go-to white chocolate macadamia cookies and the cereal cookies looked interesting. The white chocolate did not disappoint. The cereal cookies were too sweet for my liking. These cookies are worth a visit. read more
I love this place. You are able to customized the cookies you want. I normally get a half dozen and I'm able to choose which cookie I want. They have a variety of cookies. I like the more traditional cookies when I go here. They are always warm when they serve them and cooked nice and soft to perfection. The staff was nice and the service was great. I was able to place my order and get in and out in a timely manner. If you really like cookies this is the place to go. Great, and quick service, warm and delicious cookies. This place is great and I will be back for more. Next time I will definitely have to get a dozen of cookies because the half dozen of cookie were gone in no time. read more

Always usually a great experience at this location. I always order delivery and never go into the store. I order the confetti cookie, Reese's peanut butter cookie, m&m, & chocolate oatmeal walnut. All so delicious! Only one time my order was messed up and they made it right for me. Thanks to their great customer service line that I called plus the manager reaching out Medra, that was very thoughtful & I am a happy customer! read more
I noticed Insomnia Cookies while on my beauty supply store run. We stopped in and bought 3 cookies: red velvet, peanut butter chip and snickerdoodle. They were $1.60 each. The red velvet and peanut butter chip were really good. The snickerdoodle was just okay. It tasted a little floury to me. The cookies are served warm. I couldn't get a picture of the red velvet because it was falling apart when I tried to take it out of the bag. It was that soft. Definitely satisfied my cookie craving. read more
Head to see what all the hype was about regarding these cookies and boy did they live up to it. I got the snickerdoodle and chocolate chuck cookies. Both we served soft and warm. My hands had chocolate on them the chocolate chunk was so warm. And they both literally melted in my mouth. Next thing I know they are gone and I want more. They are definitely addicting, I could have easily eaten a dozen. They are priced at 1.70 a piece which isn't too bad but once you eat it you see it's definitely worth it. They also have ice cream so you can make an ice cream sandwich. The best part is that they are open until 3am and they deliver so you can get that late night sweet tooth fix in! read more

I'm going to have to say that this place isn't all that it seems to be. If you have a sweet tooth, fine, sure go ahead and if it's late? Why not because they stay late open. The cookies really aren't that great like someone else stated you're better off just going to get a pack of nestle toll house cookies lol. You're paying extra for something that's really not that great of a quality it's not like it's homemade or anything. And if you have a sweet tooth it's late and & need something sure why not. I spent $12 some change for a cookie sandwich with ice cream that Tasted like the freezer it was in, and a scoop of ice cream for my buddy. He claimed it wasn't that great also tasted like the freezer it was in. Lol. I probably won't return. read more

C is for cookie, that's good enough for me. C is for cookie, that's good enough for me! (Sesame street, anyone?) Well Insomnia Cookies are definitely good enough! If you are a fan of peanut butter, run, skip, and/or jump to a nearby location and scoop yourself a box. I'm not even the biggest fan of peanut butter but their PB cookie is/was delicious! I decided to go with two chocolate chunk and one peanut butter to-go. For three, single cookies, the total came to $4.87. By no means cheap, considering you can get three cookies at any Subway for under $2, but worth it as an occasional treat-yourself-day. The cookies were surprisingly slightly warm and soft. My preferred combo of enjoying cookies. Even though I sampled a corner of the peanut butter on my way home, they all remained soft and delicious until I was ready to go HAM on them later in the day. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was empty. I was a little surprised that the display counter wasn't bigger and more colorful or artfully displayed. The cookie selections were in a small display case and there's also a small ice cream case right next to the cookies. Besides cookies and ice cream flavors, there are cookie ice cream sandwiches, cookie cakes (made to order), and brownies. I suggest checking their twitter page (@insomniacookies) because they do tweet occasional special offers/freebies. Meanwhile, stop in, check out the place for yourself and stuff yourself silly with cookies! read more
Great cookies and reasonable prices for 6, 12, and so on. I got a 6 assorted cookie box to go. They were warm as the guy scoop this out of the heated oven. I got macadamia, chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, chocolate mint, and peanut butter. I liked all of the but the macadamia. Usually macadamia doesn't disappoint anywhere I go. Next time I may try a big deluxe cookie for $3.50. read more

These cookies are the BEST when fresh out of the oven or a short while after. The length of time they came out of the oven determines how many I purchase. If you go in and hear that they are baking, or you see them walking with the tray towards the front counter- just know you are in luck. The cookies I've purchased stay moist and gooey into the next day or so once I place them in an airtight container when I get home. They certainly don't last longer than that. I know everyone likes their chocolate chip cookies a bit different. I don't eat the crispy kind, similar to what you bite into from a Chips Ahoy bag from the supermarket. I like the camera ready type, that if you break it in half, you get those chocolate strings that make me giddy. I knew about Insomnia for years, it was a staple when I lived in Manhattan. I'm sure once word gets out they will draw a bigger crowd, especially during the late night. read more
