I love Davis creamery!…read more Since my freshman year, I have been going to Davis creamery! It is one of my favorite places to bring friends to, or show to people visiting Davis. I like that they choose to make their ice cream in store rather than buying it in bulk or ordering it from a factory. If you are looking for a quick ice cream treat, I would 100% reccommend checking this place out! Everyday of the week, they have some sort of deal or happy hour sale going on which is worth it to schedule into your day. They have many different flavors and toppings and they do allow sampling! For those who cannot have dairy, they also have dairy free options which is why this place is a go to for large groups or people new to Davis! There are options for everyone. One thing to note, they do not have seating inside and oftentimes they have long lines. But they do have seating right outside under street lights. On busy days, staff are alwasy working as fast as they can and they are always happy to help. The best way to avoid the lines? Go before meals or go earlier in the day :) after dinner is always the busiest time. In the spring, you can also submit a flavor you'd like them to make and if it makes it into the running, it will enter the month of bracketology where visitors try new flavors created and the favorite will be added to the menu for a while. If you are new or just stopping by, I would reccommend trying this place! If you find a flavor you really love, you can always take it home in a pint!

The Jamocha Almond Fudge Shake is always a winner and we were a big fan of the Chocolate Mousse Royale as it was super silky and smooth, but the Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream Bar was just okay - I enjoyed it, but I didn't taste very much pistachio or crunch. Staff was friendly, but also busy and just trying to get through the line of people. We'll be back next time we are in the area, but I will definitely be checking out different flavors to try!

When you first walk into the cafe you'll see the food case just to your left. It is filled with cafe items such as croissants, muffins, and cookies. There are savory items as well as sweet. I found the quality of the food here to be quite good and unique. Sometimes cafe food just feels like it came from somewhere else, but even if these did, they have a uniqueness about them. For example, the chocolate croissant is very flakey with a good amount of chocolate in the interior. It really surprised me! I also found the ham and cheese croissant to be very rich in flavor. My only gripe about either or these items was the heating method. I'm not sure how they are heated up, but they feel as though they used one of those quick heaters to quickly get them ready rather than a good toaster to get the items nice and crisp. As good as they are they were a bit limp due to the heating method. In terms of coffee, it's perfectly adequate. They have special offerings as well as their traditional menu. I found the coffee to be mild and friendly. It's not too strong nor very unique. It's just a solid cup. Sometimes that's really all you need.

We grabbed a Mango scoop for ourselves and our friends grabbed an Ube scoop. Self ordering kiosk. Staff were nice. We'd come back if we were in the area again.

This place has a super racist sign above their tip collection cup. It's got a picture of a black man and says "Go crazy or go stupid?" with text that I guess is supposed to be the guy either screaming or grunting. This is the type of mask-off racism you only ever find on the west coast, where people are so convinced that they aren't racist that they allow themselves to be INCREDIBLY racist without ever second-guessing their own behavior in their entire life. Go to Cream instead, it's one block away, the cookies are better, it's 50% cheaper, and they don't have any signs that basically say "lol, black people!" read more

Be weary of their special offers. I ordered a 12 Pack Sugar Rush and 6 Pack on May 27th for our school staff using the promo "Cookie Magic" which was supposed to generate a coupon for a free 6 pack for future use. Never received that, and what's more, I called and emailed customer service several times to follow up. Nothing. Very disappointing, especially since I was a repeat customer. read more

We bring a box of these cookies to every family function and every friend's party that we are invited to, and they are a hit with everyone. The owners are so friendly and hand bake these cookies every day, it's amazing. There are a few tables inside if you want to eat a cookie there while enjoying a nice coffee drink.
