This was my second time to an insomnia, cookies, and my first time to this location. It's in a great location in downtown Davis. Parking can be tough during the busy hours, but I just circled the block till I found something. I tried two of their cookies both were equally very good. When I go to a cookie place, I always try to have one cookie that I would normally not get. The young lady that was working was very helpful and kind and very much on top of her game. I would definitely recommend this for a sweet treat.

Doordash doesn't say their location fulfils their own orders until after placing it so i actually don't know who the tip goes to for one, but i ordered it with details through doordash just for them to contact me again and again in a span of 15-20 minutes lost apparently right next to the apartment building asking me questions they had they should've had prior and come to find was written on the recipt. this order was a gift so i wasn't there yet my partner was sitting outside waiting just to finally be handed this...

Insomnia Cookies is a wonderful place to come at night, or get cookies and ice cream delivered to my apartment at 1AM in the morning. While I've been to multiple locations, the Davis location is one of my favorite for its cute and quaint location, good customer service from fellow students working there, and its consistently chewy and warm cookies. I recently tried the Bewitched Cookie'Witch ice cream sandwich, which is a limited time edition ice cream sandwich currently promoting a Disney show. It was a smores-type ice cream sandwich that was not too sweet, had elements of crunchiness and crispiness in the "marshmallows," and was quicky finished on a Thursday afternoon after a long exam. Even when I am only visiting Downtown Davis, I enjoy grabbing a box of 6 to bring back home to friends and family.

The price of the cookies is a bit steep--$4 each for a small cookie. I tried the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup and Cupid's Cookies 'N Cream. While both cookies tasted okay and were warm and gooey, I found them to be overly sweet. I knocked off a star for this price point.

Good cookie. Price is kinda steep for such a basic cookie you can make. Nonetheless delicious but nothing too special

The cookies were warm, gooey, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I had a M&M cookie they pulled out of nowhere, warm to the touch. There was a bit of sticker shock price but that's to be expected with everything these days. Service was fast, as I ordered and like magic they had it in a bag and in my face immediately. It's a small storefront, like walking into a small ice cream or coffee shop. I had never heard of these but now I'll be sure to come back as this place is a thousand times better than crumbl.

Yummy cookies. If you like Crumble you will love Insomnia cookies! Insomnia taste is five star. The cookies melt in your mouth and leave you wanting another! The flavors burst & there are no dry spots. The only issue there is consistency in size. If you go with a friend you may have cookie envy when theirs is larger. Davis's Insomnia cookies opens late and says open even later. The little shop has enough room for a small group to mingle standing briefly or couples to sit at a small bar but it is best to grab & go or order delivery from Insomnia. Unlike Crumble where there are no napkins, Insomnia provides them for you to grab because you'll need them when the gooey deliciousness gets a bit messy. There are no expensive glossy boxes but their box is a suitable box & is dependent on the size of your order. Service is ok. Not welcoming but not bad either. One young person man's the store in the evening. Insomnia has classic & deluxe cookies. Available as a single cookie or in groupings. There is ice cream to go with or without your cookies as well as bottled drinks & water to purchase. Need dessert? A sweet treat? Something to cheer a friend? Check Insomnia out!

Good hot gooey cookies and open late. If you need a sugar bomb or have a sweet tooth and you don't feel like baking here is your spot. Little pricey for cookies but they are really tasty! Are you in a college town? Then they probably have one.

When you want that warm sweet bedtime snack, Insomnia Cookies is that perfect go to. We stopped by this Davis location on our way back from a fun weekend getaway. Parking is not too bad, and depending on your timing, there might be a line. The line moves quickly, and you'll be glad that you waited. Diners tip: they offer vegan cookie options! The birthday cake vegan cookie was pretty tasty. I love the chewy texture with that light crispy edge... warmed right out of the oven, yum!! We ordered a variety of cookies to try. The peanut butter cup is one of my favorites!! Big chunks of peanut butter cups folded into sweet cookie deliciousness. The snicker doodles cookie, is covered with that yummy, cinnamon sugar and enjoyed warm, it begs to be enjoyed with some hot chocolate. If you're feeling rather campy, the s'mores cookie has chunks of chocolate and marshmallow woven through that yummy chocolate cookie. This is a great place to stop on a whim, for date night, with friends, and family. Everyone gets to have their own dessert, and everyone gets to enjoy it together. How perfect is that?!

Stopped in a couple of weeks ago in the late afternoon. The ice cream was delish but the cookie was just kind of meh, nothing fantastic. The place is very small inside and seems to be busy with mostly boxed cookie orders. There was no comfy seating or a place to hang out - only a small bar area. We were the only ones there so we ate at the bar quickly. It's really small. There was only one employee working and she was not very friendly or attentive. Maybe it's a late night snack thing? Overall it was just ok.

Cookies, themselves were fine. The rest of the experience, not so much.
    Tori B.

As a storefront, if you walk in and get a cookie, it's good. Perfectly fine. If the cookies are warm, even better. That is all they do well. My friend sent me a dozen of these for my birthday. At 9:00 PM. I got a text saying that they would be there in 20 to 30 minutes. It said we could call and reschedule if we needed to. We were going to be up for a bit so, no problem. We waited. At 10:30 I called them. I really needed to go to bed--I Just had surgery and Ii was tired. I said I needed to reschedule because the cookies should have been here. She said I couldn't. The cookies had already been "assigned to a driver", but she could not promise that I would be the first or last delivery, or when it would be. We waited some more. In the meantime, my friend in Texas, the one who sent the cookies, was able to track them. They were still in the store. Say what? I suppose that was good because she ordered ice cream as well and at least that wasn't sitting in someone's car. Right? We waited some more. At 11:30 I went to bed. This kind of sucked because I the warm cookies and the cold ice cream we're going to be sitting on my porch all night. My husband decided to wait up. They finally arrived a little before midnight. No ice cream! So we're talking 2 1/2 hours late and the order wasn't even correct. Now the other thing that's really odd is the fact that this was clearly a birthday gift and ordered as such. But if you look in the pictures, you'll see that they literally attached the receipt with everything on it, including the price paid to the box. A birthday box, nonetheless! These were from my BFF, so not a big deal, but still that's pretty tacky. And look at the receipt!--yes, she paid for ice cream. This whole thing could have been avoided if we could have rescheduled the delivery as was suggested in the text. It makes no sense that it was "assigned to a driver" an hour and a half before it arrived, and that was not changeable. The cookies are fine. The concept seems cool, particularly in a college town. But the system is broken. I can't recommend this.

Warm, soft, cookies and ice cream all in one spot! The cookies are so ooey gooey soft and just the right size! They also offer minis or cookie cakes too. The packaging is cute if you order more than 2 - it comes in a mini pizza like box. Also they offer a cookie club. For $9 a month you get one free cookie each day and no delivery fee! WOW! Note - card only, no cash at this time.

Stopped by Davis on a Sunday night after Thanksgiving and having attended UC Davis over a decade ago so much has changed in terms of businesses downtown! I came to try out Raising Canes and across the street from it is Insomnia cookies-- you can smell freshly baked cookies. This was my first time trying it and I feel like I prefer Insomnia cookies over the hype of Crumbl. If you're looking for warm, small, regular soft baked cookies this is the place to go. We wanted the mini cookies but they were out. So we got a 6 pack- 2 Red velvet, chocolate chunk, white chocolate macadamia nut, and double chocolate mint. They smelled so good and warm after and I was able to eat an entire cookie in one sit in. I liked how they were warm and soft. Definitely a good treat! You could make them into ice cream sandwiches too I think. It's a very small store front so the lobby is tiny and I think the store is usually open late night, hence the name Insomniac. But I like it as a sweet treat post meal. Service was fairly quick and easy and they don't accept cash here, card only. Parking isn't too bad when it's not busy downtown, street parking or parking lots.

Also this time they were very busy and it was cold, so I waited in my car. So now I know, gotta pay attention to the drink status and now I also know there's only a few of their drinks I actually like. I don't like any of their drinks with slimy/gloopy additions. These are my drinks that I really love: - pomelo mango - tenghulu yogurt - matcha strawberry and matcha mango - sticky rice milk tea (no boba) - runner up is the coco mango cloud drink (ordered without mochi) - the pistachio chocolate drink is ok if you love everything Dubai chocolate - I hated the taro milk tea and anything with slimey additions Their food is only ok. I really liked their popcorn chicken the first time I had it and it was piping hot and they had the basil leaves. Since then I have never seen it come with the basil again and it has never been as good (too salty, moist/greasy and doesn't taste as good if they don't get it to you hot). I got the takoyaki and it's not good at all. The fish balls are ok and the fries ok and the sausages were my favorite (even though it's too expensive for two mini sausages).
