You can only call hq. they said my order went through and to expect delivery in 30 mins. I called back at 9pm. They said the website wasn't working and the order had just come through. I've had insomnia cookies before, and they've been great. However, this location was a disappointment solely for the treatment. My husband and I, after being in isolation, decided to go out for a drive, and get some ice cream. Being as responsible as we can, we have gloves, and masks, although neither one of us are sick. I called ahead, on the number listed to ask about their timings, and was told that they were working with shorter hours, but taking orders until midnight. Happily, my husband and I get to the location, and are met with a rude guy, who says we can't be inside the store because of the virus, and that there are signs on the door. He all but shoved us out of the store, despite us being a good distance away, and was not willing to speak with us nicely. He was like order online, and that we need to leave. I understand every one is shaken up by the pandemic, it would be nice if we didn't forget decency and kindness in all that's going on in the world. read more

Worst experience ever. Workers were clearly high, and the whole place smelled like marijuana. The workers stated that they "think they are closed." I've come to this location for the past 3 years and always had a decent experience, nothing over the moon but nothing terrible, until I came to them tonight. We came in to order a 6 pack of cookies at 9pm and waited outside because there were a couple customers inside but no one at the front to take their order and waited for at least 5 minutes while the workers were visibly in the back without masks having casual conversation while the customers were waiting for their cookies and to order. Once the people inside had been take. care of we went inside to order and had to wait again for someone to come upfront and when she did she was rude and distracted, she came up without her mask on and only put it on when at the register, the manager, In assuming, was on his phone behind her without his mask having a conversation with her and we weren't given the time of day. I had to get her attention before I was able to order and even while taking my order she wasn't paying any attention tome and instead kept her conversation with her coworkers in the back, they still had no mask on when their door says "masks are required". As I ordered my friend changed her mind so I asked for one cookie to be switched and was given the dirtiest look as she begrudgingly put it in. Afterwards she turned her back to me and started talking to the workers in the back again not telling me my total nor to pay so I stood there waiting before I look at the keypad and saw it was ready for payment. Received no receipt and they tried to give our order to another woman who had been waiting for close to 10 minutes for a cookie that they were taking a very long time to finish and after sometime they told her she should pick a different kind since it would be even longer. I work in the service industry and am usually very lenient with workers as it's a stressful time and customers arent the nicest but we gave them no hard time ans were very polite the whole time only to be treated poorly. I've been to the Insomnia location at Adams Morgan and the one on O street a few times so it was not a new experience walking into this one last night. My friends and I walked in around 7:30 to get a late snack after exploring DC all day. The cashier, right off the bat, was evidently irritated and not happy at all. I asked for a triple chocolate chunk cookie which she said they were out of and I tried to lighten the mood by making a joke of it but it didn't phase her negative attitude. I proceeded to order three cookies, two of which were placed in the same bag. I stayed inside the store to finish my cookies while my friends made their orders but as I was fishing for the cookies I noticed it was putty, and basically close to raw. I enjoy baking and I can tell when cookies need a little more time in the oven. As much as I did not want to, I went back to explain the situation and even showed her the mushed cookies but she tried to wave it off as "fresh" and still soft (SIS, they were RAW). She made a whole scene about me wanting to have fully baked cookies before going into the back to grab new ones and then proceeds to leave them on the counter because "they were fresh". Is that your way of winning an argument? I guess she got pretty upset because she called me a kid then ran upstairs like a child. I had to lean over the glass barrier to grab my bag and left prominently. She also did not give me back both cookies but only one. Horrible service and it's not like she deals with customer service a whole lot, you're just taking orders and baking cookies it's a pretty easy task. Just had the worst experience here. The staff was very unprofessional and had a shitty attitude. A woman in front of us ordered 3 brownies and only got 2 because they ran out. The cashier couldn't even do a refund because she didn't know how to... then the PoS system went down and didn't even tell us until the whole building was full of people. Didn't even have a manager that we could speak to. They had us wait for 30+ mins without even telling the line full of customers they could no longer sell since they can't use the PoS... no apology and no respect to their customers. Oh my goodness this place is a shit hole. I wish I would've read the reviews before going in. The lady cashier was BEYOND RUDE! This is the rudest employee I have ever witnessed in my whole entire life. Unfortunately, I did not get her name but she was this young girl middle eastern looking girl in her 20's with long brown hair. I'm guessing she's the same person everyone else is complaining about. The door for this establishment was closed and the lights were dimmed... but the "open" sign was on. I walked in and asked if this place is open and the cashier goes "well you're in here aren't you" and then proceeded to tell my friend he can't enter without a mask and told him to leave. I get it, but you don't have to be so rude about it. She was on another level with her disgusting attitude. The WHOLE time she had an attitude. I was going to buy a cookie but I instantly got out of that dump after dealing with her. She probably would've spit on my cookie anyways. I think when we walked in she was either arguing with a man that we saw leave the store shortly after we went in, or they were doing secret things back there. This location is truly impeccable! I am a student at Georgetown and often patronize this location specifically! The staff and employees are business oriented and helpful. They are focused on their tasks and maintaining an efficient store. I've not only been into the store but have participated in the delivery services and it has been flawless Everytime. I also am very appreciative that the employees provide me with smiles and a small sense of home since coming into Georgetown. My hometown is far away and the cookies not only remind me of the sweetness southern cooking brings but the people give me a breath of fresh air as well. I often witness tourist come in and out of this location demanding the employees of compassion the customers themselves do not provide, I can attest to certain affluent customers coming into the location with an entitlement that is not conducive to the job the employees are instructed to do.
