Darkest chocolate, banana pudding, birthday cake

If you need a sweet treat on U St this is a great spot to hit! Jeni's gets extra stars in my book for reusable taster spoons and being able to do half scoops! I always want to get as many flavors as possible so appreciate that. I tried the darkest chocolate, birthday cake, and banana pudding. The half scoops are still a generous portion and I ended up paying about 11 bucks with tax and tip.

First time here and the ice cream was okay. They had interesting flavor combos. I think you get what you paid for. There is a lot of staff handling people's orders so it doesn't take too long. The interior is that of a regular ice cream place with little seating on main floor and some on the upper floor.

I stop by here every few months when they have an interesting flavor and it's always a good experience! I'm usually there on a weekday afternoon, so I don't know how it would be with a crowd, but as it is I've always had good, friendly service! I really enjoy being able to buy the specialty pints you can't get in stores, and there's something new every time. As far as ice cream chains in DC, this is the most reliable for me, although I've had one or two experiences with freezer burn. I have a slight preference for the Eastern Market location for that reason, but in general it's all been great, and I love that there's so much space to spread out and sit upstairs.

Stopped by for late night icecream and this place has a couple of unique flavors that were all very good. I got the goat cheese and cherries plus the almond sonetbugg by flavor and it was really good. I was able to sample the other flavors and they were also very good. The staffs were super nice too so overall a good experience!

All day I said i wanted a butter cake and then said I guess I'll get ice cream instead. Just for Jeni's to have a butter cake ice cream and a salted caramel ice cream. It was so good my only downside is why am I paying for a half scoop and being told so I can enjoy more flavors when really I'm just paying more money for less ice cream. Will I come back probably not flavors were good though.

Lawd have mercy! Jesus take the wheel! Okay, so I finally was able to try this gem of a place with my homie! I ordered a standard cup with 2 scoops. Scoop #1 was Wild-berry Lavender & Scoop # 2 was Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks. The wild-berry lavender reminded me of a cool summer breeze, with notes of comfort and grounding laced in between each bite. I felt my tastebuds come alive with each and every bite. The Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks was rich and decadent. Imagine warmth and bliss, coupled with a good movie. Yup, this is this ice cream flavor! I felt a strong sense of peace after finishing my ice cream. Jeni's quality is truly top notch! The customer service is also on point! The staff do a great job, they are friendly & also happy to be working! Check this spot out as our days continue to warm up! Cheers!

Love Jeni's usually but when my date and I stopped by on a Friday night, all the employees were huddled in a corner chatting for a while even as a line formed. Then when we were served, they weren't very friendly and I could see a scoop of a different flavor was left/dropped into a different flavor (see photo). I don't recommend coming to this location, at least on a Friday night - it can also be hard to find seating, even upstairs, and because it's so busy the tables are left dirty.

Our 3rd time having Jeni's. First time in Georgia, second time in Philly and this time in D.C. Their ice cream is always excellent. We tried their seasonal flavors. Root beer float (amazing), toasted s'mores, watermelon taffy (sour but so refreshing), double dough. Cannot be happier. I only wish there's one by where I live.

As Ohio natives (where Jeni's started) - Jeni's never disappoints . With their unique and addictive flavors we always love coming in here for a little treat, even in the winter! We got a cup of the gingerbread and brown butter almond brittle (a staple). Service was good and we felt safe because they have a security guard inside the shop late at night.

Ridiculously good ice cream, homemade cones, with a ton of flavors and fantastic staff. This shop was my first experience with Jeni's Ice Cream and by far the gold standard for a wonderful scoop experience. There's a ton of unique flavors, every one of them as intense and creamy as the last. The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly, eager to give tastes so you can find your new favorite. My go to is a regular size Sea Salt Caramel and Salted Peanut Butter on a waffle cone, and holy cow it's good. There's a few benches outside, a counter with stools on the first floor, and a whole second floor of tables and chairs. It's an absolute must to give it a try.

Love Jenni's and this location is no different. The U st location is great because there's a ton of restaurants around and Jeni's is the perfect night cap. The ice cream is always perfect!!

They have a great list of unique rotating flavors, and it's always fun to come back to try out their new seasonal releases. A few of my favorites over the years have been their hibiscus sorbet -- a delightful dairy-free addition to their Hispanic Heritage Month flavors that is the perfect balance of tangy and sweet -- the cinnamon cardamom -- a super spiced ice cream that, despite being freezing cold, feels like you're about to drink a warm beverage -- and blueberry sour cream crumble. When I'm feeling less adventurous, they also have a really solid strawberry ice cream that uses real berries (none of that artificial nonsense you see in grocery stores) with a delightful fruity, slightly tangy flavor. There's usually a pretty long line, but it moves quite quickly since they don't allow samples. It's also a small space that gets crowded pretty easily, so I'd recommend taking your ice cream to go and enjoying it as you walk around Mt Pleasant or on the benches just below the entrance to Mount Desert.

I've never had a waiter reach across the screen on an obvious Zoom call to put the drink on my side. 5. She brings the machine to Pay and clicks through the screen of what was on the order to the payment screen. I asked her can you please go back so I can see what was on the screen she proceeds to just stand there holding the pay machine and I say I'm not going to pay unless I see what my bill was she proceeds to say she can't go back and that she will show me what I paid after I paid and if she needs to, she will give me back money. I said absolutely not. I need to see it. She proceeds to just keep standing there to try and force me to pay without seeing my bill. I have never been at an establishment that not only will not let you see your bill, but tells you to pay and then you can see your bill. She does this about three times and we're at a standstill to the part where I say I will leave if you do not show me my bill and I can call and pay for it afterwards and then she's able to go to the register and get a copy of my bill which it shouldn't have been that difficult and then I say I would actually like to talk to the manager. 6. The manager was pointless. If I was a manager, I would be completely remorseful and apologetic and he was neither. the main question he kept asking was is there something wrong with the bill. Which I responded, what's going on a customer should be able to see the bill without going through all these hoops and he asked me again. Was there a question about the Bill. I responded again. I should be able to see my bill without all of these other their questions. This was a disappointing experience at a restaurant. They drove out of my way to go to. A customer should not have to call a manager over just to see a copy of their bill. To keep standing there after I said I want to a copy expecting me to pay without seeing the bill is wild and unacceptable. And a manager should absolutely handle it better when their employees doing this. Bad customer service.

I've tried other DDL lattes from other coffee shops around the city and this one is by far the best. It's good hot and iced. The seasonal strawberry matcha is also very good. This place is great for the seasonal drinks and gelato flavors using local ingredients. My absolute favorite seasonal flavor is the Blackberries and Cream gelato. I ate it so much last summer that I could see the color of the gelato get darker as the season progressed and as the berries reached their peak. I got a few hand packed pints to keep in the freezer but they didn't last long. The mascarpone & berries is my favorite classic flavor. I've been to every Dolcezza location in DC and my favorite is the DuPont location. The baristas are chill and somehow their drinks taste better than the other locations. Not sure how that's possible but I notice a difference. I think it has something to do with how the drink order is entered at the register. At another location, I noticed my DDL latte was entered as a latte with DDL syrup and it was noticeably off. Not sweet at all. When I asked the barista he said there was no DDL button but at DuPont the drink is perfect every time.
