    Been coming to Inspiration for years and got furniture for several places from here. Quality has been seriously going down hill. This leather sofa was around $3000 and in less than 6 months the cushion is sagging bad. Spoke to General Manager Rick Lopez and he wasn't willing to help. He offered to fix it for $500 plus. The manufacturer also will not backup the product. Some other side tables I recently bought also started falling apart as the pressed wood is not holding up to even the slightest moisture. Junk quality. Over priced furniture all bust up. Save yourself money and headache and shop at a big box national chain for better customer support.

    I miss living in the Bay Area because there are so many options for furniture and they are in stock! The cost is also less than Hawai'i due to shipping and higher rent for commercial spaces on the islands. When items are not in stock in Hawai'i, it can take several weeks before they arrive and sometimes people can't wait that long. With the limited furniture stores available in Hawai'i, we looked at most of them. We also looked a lot online during the lockdown but shipping was crazy high or they didn't ship to Hawai'i (you know what I'm talking about). When we finally got to INspiration Interiors - Honolulu, we were ready to just buy so we didn't have to look anymore. We walked the showroom floor to see all the options available and made some relatively quick decisions based on dimensions, color, style and most importantly what was in stock. The sales person followed us around the store and had a tape measure to help us figure out if the furniture was going to fit or not. For commission sales, service was disappointing. He also forgot us when we went back 4 days later to buy another item. After we decided, he put our order together and walked us over to the front to pay. Mink decided to save on delivery since she had free labor with me so guess I got lucky to pick up the heavy furniture *sad face* Their warehouse is in Kapolei and they hold furniture up to 4 weeks after your purchase. Staff at the Kapiolani location will tell you that you need to call the Kapolei warehouse at least two hours prior to picking up your order. This will give them enough time to get it ready for you when you arrive. Otherwise you'll have to sit tight till they can get it without that call. They said sometimes it can take them 20-30 minutes so make sure to call at least 2 hours prior to arriving. The GC had his workers pick up the furniture for us which was nice. Saved me a trip to Kapolei right? Unfortunately the end table was broken/damaged when we unboxed it. Also the sideboard was not assembled! The sales person said it would be but clearly it was not. I was quite annoyed since I had to waste time to assemble it. Side note, one of the screws were jacked up which made assembly a pain. We made do but we expected a lot better quality at their price point. If your furniture is broken/damaged, they don't come and exchange it for you if you picked up from the warehouse. You will need to bring back the damaged items to Kapolei and exchange it. When I was driving there, I called them to find out they close at 4pm and I called around 4:20pm. Luckily someone stayed to let me exchange since I was fighting traffic from town to get there. The warehouse deserves 4 stars! The exchange was quick and I made sure they unboxed there to make sure the item was perfectly fine before going back in town. Overall, the entire experience and quality of their furniture is mediocre so 2 stars. Are they worth it? That's debatable.

    Visited the store today at 2pm. Need to refurnish a condo unit in Waikiki. Sofa bed, Kitchen table with chairs, bedroom set with nightstands, lighting, and a desk. Seen 3 salesperson and none, even got up to show me around. They all pointed to the different parts of the store and upstairs where I should go look myself. Umm, I walked around, then after 5 minutes I returned to my car and vowed never to shop for anything here again.

    7/10/21 WARNING - DO NOT EVER BUY FROM INSPIRATIONS *TOTAL SCAM Paid 1K for new table - when we picked up notice there was damage immediately went back to claim. When we went back #inspirationfurniture - Manager was rude, refused to honor their 1 year warranty or 3 day return policy - claiming we damaged table when we picked up. Seriously? A totally false claim. This place is total SCAM!! Reason why #inspirationfurniture has 2.5 star rating!! Be aware!! Go to #Valyoufurniture instead - they honor there warranty until you are completely satisfied!!

    Almost 4 years later, our faux leather sofa is showing unexplainable signs of deterioration - VN

    I'm sad to report that a little under four years later, our most recent purchase, a chocolate brown faux leather sofa, has started to show signs of unexplainable deterioration. Insert disclaimer here: Our home is air conditioned, the sofa is never hit by direct sunlight, our pets are outdoor, we have no kids and the sofa is extremely lightly used. Being covered in faux leather, the sofa's grain pattern is very smooth, so it was easy to spot the flawed area. On one of the back support cushions, it looked like something scratched it. Upon closer inspection, it was obvious that the material was peeling in several areas. A few weeks later, a bulge appeared on one of the seat cushions. Same issue, peeling. But, this spot seems to be growing by the day, so I will continue to monitor it and upload pics to Yelp. True, the sofa was on sale for a small percentage off, which I'm hoping was not the reason why, but it was still pricey and I expect top quality from these European furniture makers. To be fair, our older, genuine leather sofa is still going strong along with the tables, chairs and dressers which are very durable 10 years later. OVERALL: We live on Maui and have furnished our first two homes from here, but we'll NEVER purchase a faux leather sofa again. Unfortunately, the loss of a star is warranted.

    UPDATE: After posting the negative review below. General Manager Rick Lopes contacted me immediately to resolve the situation. He went above and beyond to try and take care of us. I'm giving more stores because of his professionalism and generosity. If you shop at INspiration, definitely reach out your Rick. He'll take care of you. INspiration says that it is the best furniture store in Hawaii, but they are by far the worst! We have spent tens of thousands of dollars here and all of our furniture is of sub-par quality. Almost everything is damaged after only a few years of use. See some of the attached pictures i have provided. Avoid this place at all cost. They sell you junk for premium prices.

    So this is the update to my purchase! I ordered a dresser and had it delivered. I must say this is how delivery people SHOULD be! Omg! This was the only company I didn't have a headache with! If you saw my review for elite disc furniture then you know it was a nightmare! So they called to tell me they're on their way 10 mins out. When they came. They surveyed the place and the stairwell which no one else did. Then they later down two blankets for moving the dresser. They were both very good and communicated well! They even inspected the dresser and had me check it too! This is the kind of company that you want to go with! It was just a quick in and out delivery. No mess, no damages, and definitely no headaches! They take pride in what their product is and that I'm very grateful of. Even the paperwork they explained what I'm signing off on.

    Update:…read more Unfortunately I am changing my review to two stars. Our vinyl floors were complete in March 2023 and initially everything was great like I stated in my original review. We noticed in August 2025 that multiple planks were lifting up when walked on. We reached out to American Floor and Home and they swiftly sent someone to inspect. He was very thorough in his inspection and concerned at the condition of the floors/baseboards considering how recent they were installed. He put a claim in with the manufacturer Cali Bamboo. Since then, we've sent the pictures they requested, had their third party inspection complete, and still nothing has been remedied. We periodically get emails saying American Floor and Home is coordinating with the manufacturer and will receive updates as they come. It's been 8 months since this process has started and nothing has changed except the worsening condition of our floors and baseboards. Besides lifting, multiple planks now have cracks and chips in them. The baseboards continue to split between joints and now even from the wall itself. I've sent footage of the worsening damage and still nothing has been done to remedy anything. We spent a lot of money on this purchase and it's very disheartening that this is the response we are getting. Whether it's a manufacturer's issue or an installation issue, I'd expect some type of plan of action to fix this problem that is only getting worse the longer they delay it. Extremely disappointing.

    We ordered a Bali wood dining table 1600$ in March. Looks and quality were as pictured except one…read moreminor spot in the center. Fast forward to August, less than a year and my table is splitting. This was not from water damage, over use, or placing heavy objects, humidity or weather related. It just started to split at the end and has continued to grow. Contacted warrenty support which responds quickly. This is what they said not under warrenty. Buyer beware here is their response for me to take care of this on my own. For the price and support this is a 1 star would be zero if possible. That said, here are some suggestions you may consider to help manage or improve the condition: Use a wood filler or repair putty to smooth out the split area, followed by a light sanding and touch-up stain. Apply furniture wax or sealant to protect the wood from absorbing excess moisture in the future. Maintain stable room conditions by keeping the furniture away from direct sunlight, heaters, or damp areas to minimize further expansion or contraction. Engage a local furniture repair service if you'd prefer a professional touch-up. We'll be closing the claim since this type of concern is not covered under the warranty.

Advertised as up to 70% off. We could not find a dresser that was deeply discounted in that way. Nor were there any style of dressers we liked that were in stock AND under $1000 (except one that looked like a mountain person build it behind the barn. Someone is into that look). My salesperson coached me to photo the SKU of anything we liked so they could check stock. When we finally found something we liked that was in stock, we paid and set the delivery. This piece of furniture looks great. I really wanted to spend $800 but for $1300 we got a well built, mid-century modern-ish dresser that should last 20+ years. And it is not something we had to build (looking at you City Mill). The day before delivery we realized we never got the text to inform us of the scheduled window. Called the store and and discovered it hadn't been scheduled. Our sales person was in the store and they got on the phone with me to reschedule. They were sincerely apologetic. A couple days later we received a thank you card in the mail. The process isn't easy because furniture is so expensive. And most of it takes months to arrive. At homeworld (CS Woo etc.) I appreciate the support the sale team and delivery guys provide. Just please stop advertising a big sale when it is clearly NOT

Mom had seen an advertisement on television for Ashley HomeStore. She had been to other furniture stores where she couldn't find what she wanted. Mom also had a brochure from the Navy Exchange, showing an Ashley cabinet that she was interested in, but the NEX didn't have it and it was out of stock in California, too. The combination of shopping around; watching the television commercial; and having a photo in a brochure motivated my mom to ask me to take her to Ashley HomeStore! I'll do anything for my mom. She spends a lot of time in the living room where she wants to replace some tables with better looking cabinets with storage space. I want mom to be happy, so, I held in my opinion and drove her to Ashley HomeStore. There are five Ashley locations on Oahu and mom chose to go to the one in Honolulu, on Ward Avenue (not the one in Salt Lake area, the Beretania Street store, the Kapolei location, nor Aiea). There was a free parking lot on the corner of Queen Street and Ward Avenue. Inside the fabulously decorated showroom, we were greeted by Andrea. She was kind, efficient, and helpful! She listened to my mom and answered all of my sister's questions promptly. (I texted photos to my sister who lives with mom.) Even though Andrea just started working here three months ago, she was able to navigate the computer system, while knowing the inventory on the floor. She was knowledgeable about the discounts (currently 5 percent off because of the Anniversary Sale), delivery schedule, and fees ($149 including assembly). Andrea was very thoughtful and observant - she offered my mom a seat and moved furniture around for us to look at different angles. Excellent! The transaction flowed so smoothly. I was really impressed! Andrea changed my apprehensions about Ashley HomeStore into a Five-Star Review because of her professionalism, positive attitude, and friendly personality! Mom was thrilled because she will receive her new cabinets the day before Mother's Day! Perfect! Next time I need furniture, I won't hesitate to shop at Ashley HomeStore... And ask for Andrea at the Ward Avenue location! P.S. In regards to price, mom thought that it would cost more! She was pleasantly surprised that the total bill was less than expected!
