Despite wonderful people who work at this location, all of which deserve a five star(+) rating,, there is a pedicurist/manicurist to be avoided. Her name is Lilian and she will cut you raw, forget basic treatments, and walk out before she is finished. This is my second experience with her although I was told I would never have to suffer her neglect and lack of experience and observance of client safety. In the same salon, you have the attentive, excellent Tammy, superb Tiffany and charming, fantastic Richard. I was insulted as a regular to be subjected to this rude, thoughtful , injurious Lilian. My mom, sister and I came in for pedicures and had a great experience. They had a variety of colors to choose from and the place felt very open and clean. Anna did my pedicure and at first it seemed like she was rushing but then slowed down and did a great job. Plus the massage chairs were great! It was very relaxing. Took 30min on my nails and was rushing the whole time and was shoving lotion on me while I was walking out... My mom and I made appointments for gel manis/regular pedis and were made to wait for a half an hour with our feet in water before our pedicures started! This was the second time we had been made to wait with appointments and the first time, my mom didn't get her nails done because she ran out of time so a man (the manager?) gave us a gift card. We came back to use the gift card and they said it wasn't from them...! This time, my nail tech handled me very roughly, painted my last coat and top coat for my toes when I was sitting at the table (my foot on her lap, it was awkward and uncomfortable!), the color I picked for my toes had literally no paint left in the bottle and my manicure was poorly/quickly done (didn't get some of my last color off which was green underneath light blue!). Like some of the other reviews on here, my nail tech soaked off my previous gel polish by putting my fingers in acetone bowls which burned and made my skin dry. My mom also had one of her toes messed up in transit from the pedi to the mani and the tech just shrugged it off. I pointed it out again and she fixed it but wasn't going to! While we were there, 2 more pairs of people came in for pedicures and were also made to wait a half hour+ with their feet in cold water, it was so awkward. After not accepting our gift card, they gave us 5% off but it doesn't feel like enough. This was ridiculous!! read more

I was told by a friend to try this place out and starting out everything went great but once it came to the polish I was drying my hands for 10 minutes and the polish was still wet, they kept adding layers and let me leave without fully drying my nails or applying cuticle oil after damaging mine, i was told to wait to let it dry but even after an hour the polish was falling off and chipping - very upsetting as this was my birthday present read more

The woman who had her nails done in front of me was very angry because such a poor job was done. (Cut too short) The lady who made the error was very dismissive of the client. Finally my turn to be seen. I was told on the phone before arriving that they had to see how much hair was present to wax before giving me a price. When I got there, they told me it would be 50$ without looking at the area. I confirmed that she was the same woman I spoke on the phone with. 50$ is also double what I normally pay. I came in for a mani/pedi. My nails did look good at the end of the visit but service was very poor. The lady who did my nails didn't speak English well. While trying to pay, she became frustrated and inpatient and started yelling at me because I didn't understand what she was trying to tell me. The manager seeing what was transpiring came over and over took my card and told me not to worry about it. This was helpful except that before taking my card she did not remove the gloves she was wearing to clean the dead skin off the feet of the patron she was caring for. She put my card and receipt back down on the table and it had chunks of brown/gray wet foot skin all over it. Seriously, you can't make this kind of stuff up. So disgusting. The lady who was previously yelling at eventually picked up the card and wiped it with a towel but did not sanitize it. At this time, I also ask her if they had larger slippers as the pair they gave me and I purchased was a size 6 and way too small. She told me to that this was the only size they had. I later asked the lady who got foot goo on my card for a larger pair and she found it right away. Overall my nails came out looking nice and the manager, despite the foot goo incident, I think she tries hard to please customers and may have just had a stressful moment. The lady who did my nails and was yelling because I didn't understand her and lied about the slippers....needs a serious attitude adjustment. For your sake, don't come to this salon unless you want to be scammed. This salon actively scams people by overcharging for services when it is time to pay. This was my experience: I called and made an appointment for a gel acrylic refill as I saw online the price is $40. $40 is a decent price for a refill so I thought okay I'll try this salon out. Please don't be fooled by their online prices as once you go to pay you will most likely be charged almost double the price of the service. I asked for a French tip with black polish. None of my nails were broken, but the nail tech Tammy broke one off on purpose and added ONE new nail. At the end of the service, she asked do you like, and after reviewing them it looked nothing like the picture I showed her and there was air bubbles, scratches and cracks on almost every nail. I didn't have time to have them re painted nor do I want to complain for $40. Once I went to pay she handed me a tiny piece of paper with "$70" written on it. I explain to the nail tech that the price online states a gel refill is $40 and she says "oh you had French tip and long nails and the one nail I had to put on". First of all, my nails were already long from before I walked into the salon, so to charge $30 extra dollars for a subpar French tip job and one nail which she had broken off is ridiculous and I feel robbed after coming here. From $40 to $70 for adding one new acrylic nail, and a French tip design is insane. I understand business and the economy is struggling right now but scamming your customers will not result in better returns for your business. After asking for a copy of the receipt as she didn't offer one or hand me one, the receipt stated I was charged for a mani and pedi, which I never received either. I solely received a gel refill. My cuticles weren't cut nor anything else that is done in a regular manicure. Please avoid this salon and business owner and nail techs please do better! I will never be coming back and will advise all my friends to never visit this salon. It is unfortunate as I had high expectations and I was severely disappointed. read more

They put my hands in bowls of hot acetone to take my old dip off, which burned my fingers and left polish and dry skin all over my hands. Ended up wiping the dip off myself and washing my hands. Then had to wait 40 minutes after my appointment started for someone to start on my actual nails. One of my thumb nails ended up much shorter than the others, and the color and shape of my nails are uneven. Complained about the nubby finger and they just said the others looked fine. Came here after making an apportionment a week in advance and waited 45 minutes to be seen. This was my first time at this nail salon and I was incredibly disappointed. The tools didn't seem to be sanitized at all and there seemed to just be a lack of attention to cleanliness. The gel UV light machines were incredibly dirty and ranged from a variety of different brands, which made the entire service look cheap and thrown together. My friend got a pedicure and they immediately upgraded her from standard pedicure to the spa pedicure without asking, incurring an additional $18 cost. They took forever to seat us and do our nails. I live in Los Angeles but I'm here in Potomac due to the pandemic for a few months. It's been... over a year since my last pedicure and manicure due to having a baby + COVID-19. I saw this place while dropping off a UPS package the other day and called to make an appointment. From the moment I walked in I was asked to use hand sanitizer before making any selection of nail polishes. Masks are mandated for entry. And there's plexi glass in between all stations and nail specialists/clients. I loved how beautiful the place was and most importantly how clean it was. I am going to go back with my mother in law soon! I felt comfortable, my nails look great, and it was also very empty which made me feel good about the whole process (only because we are living in a pandemic). But the moment I finished up several folks were walking in... I caught the perfect timing. They have a huge color selection and the owner is really kind. That makes the difference.
