Very disappointed as I have done business with this company in the past and been very satisfied. ( Washer and dryer) I requested a service call as my dishwasher was leaking. They never called back even though I stated that I was a repeat customer. I called again. The person with whom I spoke said that he would need to check with his manager because they would need to know where the leak was coming from before they committed to a service call. Honestly, how would I know that ? All I knew was that it was coming from the left bottom corner of the dishwasher. He promised to call me back the next day. That call never came. In my opinion, not a good way to do business. They were always so nice before. This sort of treatment angers me. I did, however, have my leak fixed today by a very nice man who I will be sure to call again as he was responsive and polite , not dismissive as was Instant Appliance. We got ripped off. My experience with Instant Appliance was enough to make me question that the five star reviews here are real. We had a simple problem with our refrigerator. As stated on our work ticket "water filter not working." Instant appliance charged $85 to come look at it. They were responsive to our call and came out when they said they would about a week later. That's when things went south. The person the sent didn't seem to have a good idea what was wrong. Said we needed to put in a new reservoir if the water was tasting funny. (Note the fridge is only a year and a half old.) OK if that's what it takes to get the water to the filter. We replaced the filter. Everything cost $300 about 1/3 the cost of the fridge. Nothing changed. Nothing fixed. The water still not getting to the filter. Water still tastes bad. I called and left a message asking to talk to the Owner. You always get a machine. He called back the next day and left me a message saying he would call again. I called back when I didn't hear from him. Calling almost every day for a month. Never received a second return call. We are out $300. Nothing was fixed. Never spoke with the owner. My final message said if you don't call me back I will understand we got ripped off. Stay away from Instant Appliance. read more

What a stand up operation, which seems to be a rarity in this day & age. Our washer broke the night we came back from vacation. As a family of 5, that was a big deal! We called a few places & they were all scheduling days out. But not these guys! They came the SAME day! They quickly diagnosed the problem; a fried board. Got a price right away for the replacement part & labor & told us how long it would take for it to arrive. They called as soon as it came in & came back that day to install. When he put in the new part, it burned out right away. He found that there was a short that originated further down & that there was an additional board that was fried, making 2 in total. He advised that between the 2 boards & labor, it would cost more to fix it than to get a new washer & recommended we not fix it. He then said he wasn't charging me for the first board since it shorted right away & all I ended up paying for was the initial visit/diagnostic fee...that's it! I can't say enough how much I appreciated his honestly & the fact that he genuinely didn't want to see us blow money unnecessarily. After a bad experience with Danny's Appliance, I was feeling very frustrated and stuck with finding a competent and trustworthy provider to fix my dishwasher that still wouldn't drain. Unlike Danny's who always booked at least a week out for my two prior appointments (that fixed nothing) Instant was extremely responsive and got me an appointment just two days out. Repair tech quickly identified the problem area, and ordered the needed replacement part same day. Danny's rather told me I needed a part that was not needing to be replaced, so I'm very glad I opted to just cut my losses with them. Instant called me as soon as they got the part in, and scheduled a follow up again within a couple of days. Dishwasher currently drains like new! Will definitely be using Instant in the future if I do run into any application issues again. read more

Frank came out to look at my washer that was giving me the F21 code. I'd tried everything myself first without luck. Scheduled window for arrival was 9-11am and Frank arrived at 9:03am. I even received a courtesy text saying he was en route. He was friendly, didn't mind my obnoxious dogs barking the whole time he worked and efficient. Within 20 minutes, he'd not only cleared an ugly clog in my washing machine but also cleaned out my dryer lint trap professionally. $169 total cost which is highly reasonable in my opinion. We called Frank because we had (have) a washing machine that was leaving stains on clothes, and no amount of cleaning the machine seemed to get rid of them. After reading the reviews on here, Frank seemed like a good bet. He was responsive, communicative, and scheduled an appointment to check the machine out on short order. And he arrived within the appointment window and let me know he was coming in advance. Those are the pros; now for the cons. Frank spent about 10 minutes tops looking at our machine; he checked a couple of things, and then recommended washing machine cleaner. "Like this?" I said, holding up the box that we use regularly to clean the machine. Yes, he said; he recommended we use two or three to really get it clean. And he was off. Well, no surprise, the problem persisted. And Frank has been unresponsive to my subsequent attempts to contact him about further steps. I certainly don't feel like paying another $80 for a house visit if he's going to be in and out in 10 minutes - and I don't feel like I got my money's worth on the first go round. I guess that's one way to really rack up those house-call fees. But I'm back where I started. I'll have to go elsewhere in the future. read more

She was friendly and helpful. They were able to schedule my visit for the very next day! Frank was the technician who came for the call. He was prompt and friendly. Nice repair technicians but poor service. Missed the initial and rescheduled arrival windows twice, and the repair didn't work upon the first run of the appliance. When rescheduling for the repair of the repair, the new tech did not show up on the time that I scheduled with tech the prior day. read more

They took forever to repair my washer like four months ago. Weeks. For a fairly minor problem. Same problem happened again 4 months later and they say it's not under warranty. Expecting me to pay all over again when they didn't do the job right the first time. And I'm sure it would have taken weeks again. And they overcharge. You can find better. read more

I am paralyzed yet advocate for my 90 yr old dad, who suffers with dementia/Parkinson's challenges. I called Instant Appliance Repair, because of all the great reviews. What a mistake. Maybe theses reviews were written by friends to bolster his credibility. Well, I'm not a friend and here's what Frank did to my family. Dads dryer was acting up. Frank showed up (a mandatory $84 fee) and left after 10 mins, telling dad that the problem was that the duct/vent needed cleaning out. We had the cleaning performed. A whole one hand full of dust was removed from the 12 foot duct tube. We were told that the problem was more likely that the inside dryer filter was clogged, but he doesn't work on dryers. My brother, a landscaper, removed the 6 screws from the rear dryer panel and what ya know. A whole plastic shopping bag full of dust/fluff was removed. Gee Frank. You're the supposed professional. Ya couldn't take another 10 mins out of your busy schedule to remove 6 screws. I guess that would had interfered with all the other $84 stops you had planned. DONT CALL THESE PEOPLE! read more

Contacted this company when my dryer stopped working, they came out early the next day and fixed it. Had another issue with the dryer heating less than 2 weeks later and contacted them again. They came out and fixed it for me again after i had concerns regarding the dispatch fee which owner made right by not charging me again within that time frame, both times Ben came out he was very knowledgeable and courteous. These folks understand what customer service is! I called about a noise on my dryer that sounded to me like a bad pulley on the drive belt. Frank was here early, and said they recommend a kit which replaces the belt and all the pulleys. I thought that was the best option, Frank had the kit in his truck, repairs were done quickly, and the cost was very reasonable.
