You might be able to get a Covid test faster here than you could at say Walgreens, CVS or Rite Aid, but what's the point? Once you book online, it goes downhill and test results take twice as long. - Their website, emails, and text messages are super buggy. Only half the links work and they give contradicting info. Also no one ever picks up. Ever. - They have a "mandatory" virtual visit that asks the exact same questions you've already answered when booking your appointment. - Theyre super inefficient. They will ask you for your insurance 5 times. At the time of booking, 2-3 times via text, then again in person and they're not very organized. But prepare to get a ton of texts and emails... This clinic and the staff were phenomenal. Darlene met me at the desk, and made sure I was provided with the most reasonable payment option since I paid out of pocket. I was screened and she maintained all proper precautions which was very nice to see. Then provider PA-C McClintick thoroughly assessed me and provided me with a treatment plan right then and there. He even too extra time to sit and explain to me the pharmacological process and provide excellent patient education and discharge instructions. Extremely misleading. Came here to get a rapid PCR test but they said they can only give me a regular PCR test which takes up to 72 hours. Website advertises results in 20-1 hr but once I got here they told me they don't have any of those tests here. When asked if other locations may have them, they said maybe but that they will only give out to those traveling. NONE OF THIS IS STATED ON WEBSITE. Our experience of getting a COVID test here was pleasant. After failing to find an appointment at CVS/ Walgreens we found Instant Urgent Care. It was easy to book an appointment online, they send a reminder before your appointment via text and email. Once we got there there were 3-4 cars ahead of us in the line and a few cars already parked and waiting to get tested. We thought we might have to wait a long time, but it took about 20-25 minutes since we arrived to get our test and leave. The arrangement is efficient and works well. After the test, they told us to expect results via email in 1-2 hours. We didn't get an email, so we created a patient portal account on the urgent care website and we were able to access our result in the portal ~3 hours after our test. I wish they would add a note in their FAQs about being able to access results by creating a patient portal account. It would also be good if the website gave us info about what kind of test we would get or a way choose a specific kind of test before the appointment. Overall, I would recommend this place if you're looking for a quick Covid test when other options are not available. read more

It's a waste of time coming here for a Covid test. I booked my son for a rapid Covid test so he could get back to school quickly. First you have to do a video consult (billed of course) then they send you here for the rapid Covid test. After waiting in line in the car for nearly an hour they came out and did the test. The instructions said the results would be available within a few hours and "certainly by the end of the day". Well here we are 3 days later and no results yet. No-one picks up the phone when you call, no response to text message or messaging through the app either. We went elsewhere to get a different test so my son can return to school. I never write reviews, but I was motivated to write one for Instant Urgent Care thanks to a really positive (pun not intended) experience with their Covid testing. A provider at their Sunnyvale location sent me to the Stevens Creek location to get a rapid test. I waited in my car for a while, then finally one of their employees, Darlene, came out to tell me that the Sunnyvale provider was mistaken and they weren't taking walk-ins since they'd been so swamped. She told me that the swabber had already suited down for the day and they were all really burned out. I stayed in my car to call some other places, but a few minutes later Darlene came out again and said that they would swab me and the other guy who was waiting. Lol & the second time I had an appointment at 1pm and they tried to schedule a video call at 1pm but their website kept failing and when I texted for them to call some girl named Kim called me and was super disrespectful about the call not going through that I requested to cancel? This review is for Instant Urgent Care's telemedicine appointment and drive-through COVID 19 testing. I wanted to get tested before Christmas and couldn't find any appointments through CVS or Walgreens. My friend told me about IUC, so I decided to go with them. When I checked out IUC's website, I was a little confused about how to proceed. According to my friend, she had to schedule a telemedicine appointment for prescreening. The website says the same thing, but it also allows you to schedule COVID appointments yourself. Since my friend said otherwise, I went through with scheduling the telemedicine appointment first. She said getting tested took about an hour. After checking in, I texted IUC photos of my insurance card. I had to wait a while to meet with the doctor, but she made sure I could be seen (i.e., calling me twice and video chat). The appointment itself was really short, which was within my expectations, but an online form would be more efficient and a better use of a doctor's time and expertise. Anyway, the doctor asked me a couple of questions and scheduled a rapid test for Thursday morning per my request. Soon after, I received a text confirming the testing window (9:30-11:00), location, and instructions. So far so good! Then I received another text that gave me a different testing window on a different day... Weird. I arrived around 9:24 and noticed that there was already a line of about 5 cars. I took 280 S to get to IUC, so I waited a couple of minutes to see whether I could get in line via left turn. (Narrator: She couldn't.) Eventually I decided to make a U-turn at a light so I could join the line of cars and pedestrians. I had to wait in line for a while, but check-in was really quick once it was my turn. With that said, the person in front of me took a while. I think some patients didn't do the prescreening, so they might have completed their paperwork and the telemedicine appointment in the parking lot. Anyway, they put a number on my windshield and told me to reverse park (oh no!) in the next available parking spot. After they checked in two to three more vehicles/pedestrians, no new vehicles arrived for the next half hour. Over the next half hour, I noticed that they don't necessarily go by number or order of arrival. The person beside me got swabbed before I did. Anyway, the person conducting the test came up to my car and asked for my name and date of birth. She also confirmed the type of test before swabbing me. I left around 10:15 AM. On the way out, I saw a car waiting to get checked in. When I got home, I logged into the patient portal to check my results. As soon as I logged in, I saw a notification for an in-person appointment in the afternoon. I never scheduled an appointment, so I was really confused. I still see the notification on the portal because I couldn't reach anyone via phone or text to cancel. My results were posted to the portal around 6:00 PM. If you plan on getting tested at IUC, make sure to check the patient portal later in the day instead of waiting for an email or text message. I didn't receive any. Overall, I would have given IUC 4 stars for the telemedicine appointment and drive-through testing. However, I took off a star because IUC's website, appointment confirmations, and patient portal need some revamping to avoid confusing patients. In my opinion, patients should not be able to directly book COVID testing appointments if a telemedicine appointment is required. By the way, IUC has a lot more reviews on Google Reviews if you want to see what else people have to say about their service. read more

My mother and I feel robbed and scammed. We scheduled a Covid test for my mother online with her insurance information. When she arrived there, she asked if they needed to verify or any further information from her. The urgent care denied because "they were busy checking other people in". However, my mother just called to check her result, they told her that she will be billed $180 because the insurance was entered incorrectly online and they do not accept our insurance. If we knew we would be billed or that our insurance wouldn't be accepted, we wouldn't have done the test there. We even asked them right before the test to make sure they had everything they needed. Like the other reviewers here have said: they are unresponsive. I go here often for general wellness, (they offer general visits as well, not only urgent care), but I had something come up and needed to reach a staff to reschedule an appointment. For 2-3 days leading up to the appointment every single day, I tried to reach a staff through their patient portal email, general help email on their website, phone call to several locations, voicemails, sent cancellation through their telemedicine system, still no response. Now I am getting a explanation of benefits, a charge to insurance, and credit card charges of a visit that never happened. Needless to say, I'll be switching health provider. If you can't even answer your phone and provide basic patient service, then I'm unsure how they can continue to conduct service. Otherwise, the physician themselves (Dr. Kaur) is fantastic in every single way, but on the contrary, her support staff sucks: they are not thorough, terrible at communicating, ambiguous on next steps, overall apathetic. read more

I spoke to someone on the phone about booking a Covid test and she told me I'd be charged for "medical advice" All she said was the generic "if you have a fever, headache, loss of taste and smell you should get tested" I got a Covid test and they sent me a bill for $177.28. If you're coming here for a Covid test, don't. go somewhere else. They're not doing the drive thru thing anymore--you have to go inside the clinic. Horrible service, or should I say don't expect to get any service at all. We scheduled our drive through pre flight Covid testing for our four family members two weeks prior to coming here and received several notifications that our appointments were confirmed. We came on time with all the documents needed. When we came they told us that we have 4 appointments under the same name and would not test us. We waited for 10 minutes in our car until a staff member ( Stephanie ) was flagged down by the person admitting the cars. she told us that we needed to book separate appointments - we tried to show her the confirmation, ask for instructions on re registering since the website was not giving us an option to do it, but she just said 'it's your mistake we won't test you' and left. We asked ( or should I say almost begged ) to call her outside again since This was at 5pm 24 hours before our flight and other places were already closing. After another 10 minutes i had to step out of the car and walk to the back door desk since no one came to us. I was almost in tears and asked if they will at least honor our appointments since we did schedule 4 of them. they said they are too busy and will not. The admittance person had to go back and forth to her - she wouldn't even come out. When I asked for her name someone else came out all of a sudden and said her name is Tatyana Ortega. However, I will seek out testing elsewhere. Because of the bizarre experience with them, I do not have any confidence that the test was actually done or perhaps they are just sending out results to clear their pipeline overwhelm. I waited in line for over an hour to get a Covid test. I had no knowledge the wait time was going to be that long. There was zero communication from this place on an expected wait time. I would have gone somewhere else if they had told me originally it was an hour plus wait time for their testing. While I was in line I called their help line (this was after waiting for over an hour) and the lady on the phone was extremely rude to me like I had done something wrong? Excuse me for asking if you guys had another time slot that would be less busy after sitting in my car for 1+ hour. Not professional or understanding and terrible communication. Scam. They gave my mom the wrong COVID test for an international flight and charged her anyways. She had to go somewhere else for a valid test on short notice when the airline rejected the test. They lied and said they would refund her. Later they sent her a bill and refused to waive the charges. read more

What they didn't tell me is that after two months I would still be waiting, and that trying to talk to someone from the billing department would be impossible. My friend had scheduled Rapid Antigen Test on 7/21/2022 as he needed Covid test certificate for overseas travel next day. Test specimen collection was done pretty quick and the staff advised my friend that the test result and the certificate would be emailed within 1 to 2 hours. Test result was never delivered till next morning so my friend and I called the office but they were closed until 9:30 in the morning. My friend's flight time was 1:20 PM at SFO so we had to visit the Instant Urgent Care office to get the certificate. They finally emailed the certificate but with wrong spelling of my friend name despite that they collected information from my friend's passport and driver license. My friend had to go through lots of trouble before he finally got on board. I would give ZERO star if I could. Terrible service!!!!!! read more

Cannot recommend getting a COVID-19 test here. First of all, they require a telemedicine "consulation" prior to getting tested. The "consultation" took less than 5 minutes and consisted of about 8 questions. The entire "consultation" could have easily been replaced with an online form. The person I spoke with didn't mention their title or credentials, so I'm not even sure if they were a licensed medical professional. (Not that they needed to be to ask the questions they asked, but my insurance company and I were billed for this 5 min video call as though it was an actual medical visit with a physician.) When I visited to get tested, I was told that I should expect a phone call with my results in 3-5 days. It has now been 19 days and counting. I can understand a slight delay due to heavy demand and a backlog of tests to process, but this is ridiculous. If they are still waiting to test my sample at this point, I'm not sure that the sample is any good anymore. I have tried calling and emailing and have received no responses. When you try to call them, you get sent through an automated phone system that tells you that the testing is handled by a third-party vendor so turnaround times are outside their control. Well, at the very least, they could provide regular updates that they are still working on getting the results instead of leaving you wondering if they are doing anything at all. At this point, I'm seriously questioning the fidelity of this business and its testing practices. At best, they are disorganized and need to work on their customer communications. At worst, they may be milking their patients and their insurance companies for services that are misrepresented or incompletely rendered. If you want to get tested for COVID-19 and actually get your results, you may be better off going elsewhere. read more

This was a terrible experience at this urgent care. From the start of registration til the end at picking up our prescription it was terrible. Everyone seemed to be moving at the speed of molasses even though we were the only ones there on Sunday lunchtime, and entering in wrong information. The receptionist took a whopping 40 minutes to input our information in the computer, and then after we saw the doctor they only called in two prescriptions out of three that we needed. And when the pharmacy called to inquire they insisted that they were correct even though our child had a 103 degree fever. Really incompetent. And then we had to wait another forty minutes at the pharmacy for them to correct it, instead of recognizing it was their mistake and prioritizing fixing it. Also they inputted my name and my child's name totally wrong, and then the doctor told us that my kids and I were speaking a "different type of Japanese" than normal even though she admitted she doesn't really speak Japanese. Just weird and unprofessional. Thank god we don't live near here because we will never come here or recommend that anyone come here. read more
