Alright alright... I never switch nail salons. I had been going to the same place for 10 years -- which meant driving all the way across town every time. I finally took the leap after a friend recommended this spot since it's much closer to me, and I'm SO glad I did. I've been here 3-4 times now and I couldn't be happier. Vanessa is amazing. You can show her a picture of what you want and she brings it to life like clockwork. I always leave completely in love with my nails. And let me tell you... Hands (or feet) down, the best pedicure I've ever had! $40 for a pedicure with sugar scrub, hot stone AND a cocktail. It was $10 more for gel polish. If I lived in the area, this would be my new spot. I lost a bet, so I had to not only pay for both our pedicures but also have his team colors put on my toes. It was worth watching him squirm getting his feet filed. Me and the pedicurists couldn't stop laughing :) We had an appointment and were seated right away. Pedicure took about an hour. Came here with an appointment to get my pedicure done. They took me in right away and did a great job. They didn't have the butter yellow shade I wanted so I settled for a baby pink color but the pedicure experience was amazing. They have massage chairs! And the basic pedi starts at $30 which is very reasonable. I had to get acrylics on one of the toe nails bc it was broken ($5) but they did a great job. I had a really disappointing experience here. From the moment I walked in, no one seemed interested in helping me. The technician assigned to me gave me an unfriendly look, didn't greet or speak to me, and seemed to be in a bad mood the entire time. I asked for a very simple service, but it was clear she didn't know what she was doing. I tried to be patient and explained what I didn't like, and though she attempted to fix it, the result was still bad. She kept insisting my nails looked "beautiful" when they clearly didn't. She even had me keep my hand under the UV light while she wasn't applying polish, kept touching the nails wondering why they wouldn't dry, and forgot to apply a top coat--it took her over an hour to figure that out. When I asked for another technician to fix my nails, she refused. I told her several times that I was willing to wait for someone else, but she insisted she would "fix it" and never did. When I finally asked her to remove the nails, she didn't want to--she just kept filing and asking which ones I wanted fixed instead of listening. At that point, she became rough and started holding my fingers tightly, which made me really uncomfortable. If you don't enjoy your work or aren't confident in your skills, you shouldn't be providing services to customers. I left feeling upset and disrespected. I will not be returning and definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I was really expecting more from this place! I'm new to the area and I was trying to find a new nail salon I can go to regularly. (I get my nails done every 3 weeks) I gave Instyle a chance from seeing how good the reviews were. I REGRET it instantly! They sat me down with a male tech and I told him exactly what I wanted. (Brand new set acrylic gel nails with old set removal and a gel pedicure) Let me just get right to it: As he was removing my old nails he kept shaking his head like it was an inconvenience that I glued a couple of them back on and that he would need to work harder to get them off. Just RUDE. Then he clipped my real nail way too short I started BLEEDING! It was so PAINFUL! I told him that they HURT so bad and he shook his head AGAIN and dismissed it like it was whatever. I couldn't believe how inconsiderate he was! Then I told him I wanted pointy long nails. He cut them short and made them pointy coffin nails. The shape was so ugly I had to tell him pointy nails are nice when they're long. So I showed him a picture because it seemed like he didn't understand and repeated that I wanted pointy long NOT pointy coffin and he turned it around to blame me and tried to put words in my mouth and said I wanted them like my previous shape. SMH! At that point I canceled my pedicure mid session. If he LISTENED carefully he would've known how I wanted my nails exactly. I do this every 3 weeks, I know what I want! Other nail salons always check in with me and make sure everything looks good. He did none of that. At the end a different lady took over and painted my nails perfectly. I canceled the pedicure because I was so upset and 2 and half hours had passed I didn't trust them with my nails anymore and still needed to go to work after. All THAT for $75. Smh! I still tipped him very well on top of that but I'm definitely not coming back here. Such a disappointment. And PAINFUL. read more

Please at least come experience the pedicure and the time they take. They aren't rushy like other salons. They take their time and put care into their work! It's truly hard to come by. Vanessa is amazing at acrylics. ive been her customer well over 2 years and im very happy with her work. She used to do nails in Atlanta, so extravagant and flamboyant acrylics are her specialty. Her nails last well over 2 weeks WITHOUT lifting or popping off. Vanessa knows how to make them strong without making the nails thick or chunky. Yikes... I just had the worst manicure experience I have ever had at Instyle Nails. I have never had a manicure leave me in so much pain and still bleeding, hours after the appointment, until this place. I walked in looking for a pretty last minute manicure. I sat down pretty quickly, and an older man greeted me at his station with all of his supplies set up. I informed him right away that I did not want any polish, and immediately, he, as well as another female worker, started laughing as if I was crazy for not wanting any polish. This should have been my first warning. He began to file my nails, and then as he was about to push my cuticles back and start trimming the skin, I couldn't help but notice that he did not put any cuticle oil on. About half way through trimming my cuticles, he trimmed the skin too much, and not just one, not just two, but three of my nails started bleeding profusely. He kept trying to brush it off and say that it will be all better once he puts some of this blue liquid on the bleeding. It was not all better. Then, he was dabbing a dirty cotton swab on the bleeding, which, of course, did not make it all better, either. I eventually had to get the attention of a female employee there and ask for a bandaid. I came to the nail salon to make my nails look better than they did when I walked in, and now they look so much worse. When it was time for the massage, the man's hands were so rough that it felt like sand paper rubbing up against my skin. I could not wait for this experience to be over. I wish I did not stop by InStyle Nails purely for convenience, because the whole experience, and the outcome was not worth the $15.00 at all. In fact, I am absolutely shocked that I even had to pay full price for this. I do not recommend. read more

Nails shops are a dime a dozen...and you never know going into a new place if it will be any good. I took a chance with Instyle and can I just say? HAPPY CUSTOMER right here! They took me right in..and after a quick consult, I decided to try Gel dip nails. (Ok, ok..so I'm like the last person on the planet who hasn't tried it.) They did a perfectly respectable pedicure (could have used more massage, but who couldn't?) and then on to "the dip". The lady took her time and I enjoyed chatting with the other technicians..all very nice people. When all was said and done-Beautiful job. Am I being difficult? I'm not gonna write down with my whole story, so I'll just sum up. - I told them I've only been to nail salon 2 times before that I know nothing about getting my nails done when I got there. - I brought several photo of what I am going for. - Sample color and actual color was VERY different. (Picked white, and somehow it turned to be lilac color) - They asked me how do I like them, so I told them honestly that I didn't expect dip power would be so obvious and uneven that I don't really like it. She sounds frustrated at me, and workers and a regular customer started telling me that they like them. - They suggested other color and it will be better and that'll be closer to what I want. I still tried on my thumb, but the color was so off from I'm going for, but at this point, I knew they can't deliver anything I'm looking for, so I gave up and told her to leave it. She said she can't just leave one color on so she is putting the first color back on. - By the way, she made me bleed 3 times. 3rd one happened when she was fixing my thumb, and looking my nail right now, my blood stained in my nail because she did it so many times that she didn't deal with it properly on the last one. - My co-worker told me about this place (but in different location) and dipping powder gel. Hers is amazing even though she also has lighter color. I was telling them about her nails and the lady says "you should have told me. Take a photo of her nails next time!" ......... tell you what? First of all I don't want the exact nail color, second, I showed them so many photos of what I like. I mentioned I need help picking colors because I don't have experience that I don't know how it turns. - The lady DID say that she didn't know how the color would turn on actual nails, and so as why the sample number and actual bottle number didn't match. I know a lot of people loving this place, even customers I talked to while I was there were loving here. Not sure if the lady wasn't professional enough or not familiar with dip powder gels, or... I don't know. But stop frustrating at ME just because she painted completely different from what I asked for. And don't try to persuade me that they are beautiful when I'm not even satisfied with them. read more
