However, when the technician arrived, they quoted me $715 and didn't honor that agreement--so I essentially ended up paying $150 just for someone to stand in my home for 5 minutes. Because I had already sunk the $150 into the visit, I felt stuck and felt like I had no choice but to just pay the higher amount to get the job done. While the service itself was fine, the communication felt misleading. Just a heads-up to future customers: make sure to get your initial quote details and promotional offers in writing before they show up.

We had contacted a local company and, while the quote and scope seemed adequate, the plan for condenser placement was not great and I had sticker shock. So I went to YELP and found JL Martin. I am so glad I did! Jared toured the home, and came up with a great plan for a new system and was able to come in around 3K less that the previous company. I appreciated the 'out of box' thinking! This included working with the city permit process as well. The biggest hold up was actually the city acknowledging and passing the plan. Once that happened the JL Martin team scheduled quickly and the install was completed in under a day. The install team was incredibly respectful, explained everything that they were doing, and took great pains to be as unobtrusive as possible. They gave me the guidance on what to expect with the state inspection and city, made sure I understood what the filter requirements would be in the future and the city signed off within 10 days of install. I could not have asked for a better experience! They really work with you and everyone, from installer to office staff to upper management were amazing, responsive and helpful. Where to start...the beginning? Ok…read more Jesse was referred by trusted friend. I'm very picky and skeptical so I put Jesse through the wringer with my questions. He entertained all my ideas, questions and did not ever huff about it. Bottom line, when I was satisfied enough I went forward. I won't bore your with the details of what I did and why, but the services rendered are worth mentioning. Also, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH for peace of mind. Jesse is up front and trustworthy in my opinion. He's not a salesman and I found that out when I spoke to him. He is taking care of processing the rebate (which I have never had any luck doing) so I hope it goes better for him than for me. I had walls and attic done with the blown in cellulose. They were done about a month apart at my request. MARK - you are amazingly efficient and I could not say enough about you, except we need more people who work like you. Personally, I think he might be a cyborg which would be pretty cool and explain his non-stop work ethic (and what I think was an charging outlet in his neck... I'm not positive about that though.) Give this man a raise... whatever he is! The work was completed on time and as discussed. So far, I feel great about the choice I made and with summer coming this week, the real tests are about to begin. I'm not worried though. I have already referred one person who is going forward and you better believe I will continue to do so.
