Wow! This place is amazing. Highly recommend! Very fun environment. The food was incredible! The beer and seltzer were delicious. We had the twisted dough and the verde as appetizers. The verde was very good but those pretzels...HOLY COW! Absolutely the best pretzels and beer cheese we have EVER had plus everything was handmade including the pizza we had for dinner which was also very yummy. Cool little venue in chino valley. The service was friendly. Family owned and they seem like great folks. The beer just didn't do much for me. The ipa was average at best. The stout was close to undrinkable. The watermelon seltzer was decent. We had looked at their online tap list and several we wanted to try they had run out of. Sunday brunch was a shit show. They brought us food, we ate fruit off the plate & than.... The girls came Back and said "THIS ISNT YOURS" and took it to someone else!!!!!! They ran out of forks... it gets worse and worse. Do yourself a favor & close. We were on a 15 year anniversary road trip. One where you just get in the car and go where the road takes you. Found this place by accident. So glad we did!!! No Kids menu, but the main menu had enough to offer that pleased the children as well. Service was good. Beer flight is awesome (could have been a little colder). Went there with a friend for dinner tonight, and ordered a beer and some food. It is a terrific looking establishment, modern, clea with a TV with the game on We did ended up going on a busy night, painting night but service was still okay and this is the only reason for 2 stars and not 1. . . I ordered the Siracha Buffalo Wings, 2 Chicken Street Tacos and a Hazy IPA Beer. The chicken wings tasted dry as if they have been reheated and then sauced and or microwaved. The two tacos where very dry as well and definitely under seasoned. The beer was good, but unfortunately slightly watery flavored and the warm glass didn't help, a chiller for thier glasses would go a LONG WAY! As far as my friends food, they got the pulled pork sandwich and thier daughter chicken taquitos. While the taquitos where well seasoned, they where dry but the pulled pork was a mustard based BBQ sauce should have been a tradition sauce and with the sauce on the side. read more

This is a great new brewery in the small town of Chino Valley. We drive trough here all the time and are looking forward to this fun stop when we do now! We tried quite of few of their current beers. The imperial stout was delicious and the double IPA and pale ale were really good as well. The space is great and relaxing. Our son also enjoyed the comfy couch and board games available. They also have complimentary popcorn. The owner was there and was very nice and knowledgable. We look forward to many future visits and seeing what great brew they come up with next! read more

AVOID IF YOU WANT GOOD FOOD! We tried Insurgent Brewing for the first time a week ago for lunch. We ordered chicken wings for starters ($8). I ordered a basket of 6 wings. I took one bite of the first wing and it tasted so disgusting I spit it out into my napkin. It was gross. I told the waitress politely that the wings were off putting and requested a different appetizer. She took the basket of wings back to the kitchen; 5 wings were untouched, and 1 wing had one bite out of it. The manager (maybe the owner?) came to our table to tell me that since we already started eating the appetizer, we would have to pay for it regardless. So I asked the person in charge, how could I know it tasted horrible if I didn't taste it first? I reminded her that I took one bite out of the first wing and the rest of the wings were untouched. She replied that she would give us a 15% discount on the next appetizer, but I would have to pay full price for the first one. Unbelievable business ethics! So I thought, since I paid $8 for a bite of a chicken wing that would be too disgusting for a pig to eat, I decided to cut my losses short. I paid my bill and walked out in disbelief. My advice to the clueless woman I talked to: your #1 priority should be to keep your customers happy and improve your menu. You should ask the customer why they didn't like what they tasted so that you can advise your cook and improve your menu, not force potential patrons to pay for food that was inedible. Maybe you should just fire your cook and stick to beer. Maybe you beer is better. Doubtful. If you don't agree, you're in the wrong business. You'll run out of friends and relatives to post positive reviews about your business. The truth will eventually surface. I'd rather eat popcorn than order from your menu. read more

We were in the area visiting family when we came across insurgent brewery. It's ok if you want to drink there but do not get food. It was horrible. The chicken tasted old in the three amigo Tacos and the pizza was soggy and gross. The server bringing the food out had a pissy attitude when we weren't sure which dish she was referring to as she called them something different than was on the menu. We love having a craft brewery in Chino Valley. The patrons are a friendly group and there usually is live music on Friday & Saturday. The beer is fresh and there's a good variety of choices. You can bring in your own food and enjoy it with a great glass of beer. read more
