A neighbor moved out and I was suspicious about what they were leaving behind so I had my landlord get someone out to prevent anything from coming into my unit. I called Hugo to request a quote to fix our rental propert mouse problem. Initially I got a quote from another company and was quoted $2000 to fix all the holes on the entire house. This was a ridiculous price so I called Intech pest control for a 2nd opinion. He came on time to our scheduled meeting and his quote was $500 to place several traps in the attic and crawl space and to cover/mesh the entry points in the house. This was a guarantee for 3 months. Wow wow wow is all I can say. We had a VERY VERY bad ant infestation. To the point where I would find them in the cracks of my couch, in my bed, crawling on my face, EVERYWHERE. I tried every home diy there was and nothing fixed the problem. I called Hugo and he came one day later and sprayed the outside of our home and also injected some gel into the cracks in the walls and baseboards. Its been 3 months and I haven't seen ONE ant since. I can't tell you how much my quality of life changed since I hired the help from Hugo. Hes super professional and very personable, was a pleasure to work with him during this time. Seamless process from start to finish. Sent Hugo an email request for a visit for rodent issue and immediately got a reply back for availability the next working day. Requested a text on ETA and it was on the money. Hugo checked the premises for entry and did find activity in the crawl space along with a deck entry point that is not screened. Placed 8 traps there and 4 more inside where droppings were found. Very gracious about calling to report any catch and advised call him for pickup. There is a happy ending to this story about Intech Pest Control that treated the presence of ugly rats inside my garage. I had my whole house treated for rat infestation about three years ago by Mighty Men Services (I did a review of the company last Sept. 2019) in which they did a very good job. I called a known Pest control company for a quote and made an appointment for them to come to inspect the house. They did the usual, around the house, attic, and crawl space, but said there was little room to inspect the crawl space ( I remember Cory from Mighty Men who went down there to inspect it and found some problems). Another guy from the same company came and did the same and said he would email me their quote. It was way more than what I could afford. I explained to them that my wife absentmindedly left the garage door open when she threw out some trash and I suspect some rats could have come in. I haven't had rats since Mighty Men Services. In fact, I myself already caught five before calling the company. This is when I called Intech Pest Control which is also near my place (the company which gave me a high quote had an area code 925). The person who answered me was named Hugo. I explained to him that I already have a quote but I wanted a second opinion asap because I had to make a decision fast.. I asked if he could come that day, but unfortunately, he was pretty booked that day and running late. Feeling my sense of urgency, he told me he could make it the following day and he would make me, his last call since I also live in Hayward near where he lives. The moment I met and saw Hugo, I knew I was in good and capable hands. He is kind and I believe honest because he talks with sincerity. He explains to me what he will do and we set an appointment when he can come back. I also told him exactly what I told the other company. He does a meticulous inspection of the house. I told him about the droppings that were found by the first and he took note of that. He said that Mighty Men Services did a fine job. Not discounting that some rats may have entered when the garage door was left open and noticing that I had a trellis-grown bougainvillea that touches the roof, it would be best to seal all the ducts that go up to the roof with a mesh screen. He advised me if I had a handyman to install the screen mesh and save me a considerable amount of money. He says not to worry since he will send me pictures and he then sends me an email to instruct my handyman how to do it and call him when it's done so he can put some traps afterward. At the beginning of my story, I stated He is kind and I believe honest because he talks with sincerity. Now, I know Hugo is kind and honest. He explains to me that he charges well-off and middle-class clients the same rate. He wants to give back to the community he lives in. As long as his family is comfortable, he is okay. He charged me only $50 ( I gave him a tiny bit more) for the inspection and the advice was free. I believe in karma. I do a lot of volunteer work (five days a week for 16 years now) and I go to the food bank every Friday to give to my best friend's widow who doesn't drive and is scared to leave the house. I have never needed a pest control company and I must say that this company was the SOLUTION to a MAJOR problem of ours. We actually had mites. After speaking to a neighbor, she also had the same problem. We were both getting bit and didn't know why. After speaking to Hugo, he came over right away and thoroughly explained what was going on.
