As we waited for our appointment, we sat in a comfortable room in front of a fireplace, drank champagne & ate chocolates. We were escorted to our room which was dimly lit and comfortable. We have tried many different massage places but Intermission Spa at La Bella is our go to place. They are always friendly and professional, I recommend this location. This place is very unique compared to other spas I've been to. The staff is very pleasant and the facility is very clean. I live in Orange County and would not mind driving to Upland. The support staff is great but the massage itself was the worst I've ever had. Ran into an employee in the hallway who, aside from not greeting me, gave me the nastiest look. Surprise! She, Diana, was my masseuse. We went to the couples massage room, stripped down and prepped for massage. Diana seemed really distracted and I noticed her checking her phone every two minutes. Half-way through, she excused herself and ran out crying. The very nice gentleman from the front desk came and finished up. Unfortunately, I'm guessing because she was so distracted, my entire back is covered in terrible bruises today. I've had loads of massages, even in countries where I don't speak the language, and have never had bruises before. I understand that people have lives, but I was there as a birthday gift specifically to relax. It was really disappointing to have that so thoroughly ruined. read more

Kevin's massages are always phenomenol! His touch is very soothing. I tend to have alot of what you would say are knotts on my shoulders..and he has definitely helped with reducing the pain. I have also notice less tension in my shoulder ever since I began to get frequent massages with him. I would highly recommend. By the way the studio is very relaxing and quiet, and another major plus for me was that I was able to bring my own sound track to listen to while being pampered! Came here today for the 2 hour couples massage with my BF. I had Casey and my BF had Jackie. We were both pleased with our massages and the extras- scalp/head massages, foot scrubs, hot stones and aromatherapy. They also stretched us out too. Downside: location is small, one room with two tables and you have to walk around the building to use the bathroom. Both masseuses could have been a bit more warm and friendly too. Came in for MANI/PEDI .....I usually go to nail shops but boy was this a TREAT! I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure with JANE. She is FANTASTIC! Im used to the rushed in/out manicures & pedicures but this was awesome! She took her time and I had a whole room to myself (as it is in a spa) lighting was dim, comfortable couch (lazy boy style) and i truly felt like royalty. I didn't miss the massage chairs at regular shops. There was soft spa music in the background, i almost fell asleep. Not only did my nails come out perfect but it was soooo worth it. I came here because I wanted to use up my gift card and didn't want a massage, but I will definitely be back. They don't offer acrylics but for someone like me who doesn't get that, this was PERFECT. !!!!! read more

My husband and I have now had two couples massages here. I had "Mike" for both of mine my husband had I believe her name was "Tatianna" the first time and "Daniella" this time. I enjoyed both of my massages, I have a lot of stress and always have knots in my neck, shoulders & back. Mike is amazing at working these out! My husband thought his were just ok... I would give them 5 stars but the establishment does not look professional, you have to ring a bell to have someone open the door. On our first visit we were very reluctant to enter. Don't go here if you're looking for a relaxing experience. It's loud, the employees have no consideration for others trying to relax. Natasha did a great job on my massage but I could not relax.. she had to leave the room twice to tell the employees to be quite in the hallway. Just left this place and the reviews people leave do not match the service. I feel like people who leave bad reviews have nothing better to do because I just left and this place was GREAT! I had Ivonne (I Think) and she did amazing. Great service from employees AND therapists. Good champagne, chocolates, and massages! Greeted and offered more champagne every time they came in.... overall, it was a really great experience and I knew that it was going to be really busy but we still got taken care of. I found this spa on a deal for Amazon. I thought for sure it was a good deal, it was only $30.00 for a prenatal massage which includes a 15 minute scalp and foot massage. I will tell you I was so confused as to what this place was, is it an apartment or a spa? I felt extremely uncomfortable the second I walked in the door. There is a sign that states you should tip your masseuse off of the actual price of the massage not the discounted price which I thought was extremly tacky along with the cheap champagne, and chocolates. I arrived a little early and waited in the front room for a couple minutes until Kevin walked out telling me I was early but said he "guessed" we could start. I did apologize for arriving early and even though my gut said not to stay I did. I also felt like he had no idea of how to give a pregnancy massage. Most pregnancy massages are given on your side unless you have a specific type of table so I was skeptical. I let him give me a massage for about 15 minutes while I was on my back and there was something very creepy about the experience, so I told him I needed to go. He offered to have his wife come and massage me but at that point I just wanted to get out of there. I told him he could keep the voucher. I will NEVER come back here, unprofessional, creepy and definitely not the experience you want to have!! read more

Discounted means discounted service as well!!!! If that's the case then they should NEVER sell or advertise via Groupon then. This location is close by the freeway , they have a very friendly and professional staff members there that make you feel right at home ...I must say that hands down one of the best spas we have really liked and believe us we've gone from spas in casinos to spas anywhere we travel too and this one made it in our top 5 and lucky enough its close to were we live. I have purposely done the white glove test in there public restroom and yes they pass the white glove test .I like to give any business we know that deserves it for others like ourselves that truly use the reviews before using that business . This place always have both male and female masseuer available and I love it that they knew me by my name by the second time I went.While your waiting in there quiet waiting room they offer you some very delicious whine or water . The location is clean fresh linen and very clean cut and uniformed staff members. We paid $60 for a full hour body massage and we thought they were joking because we've been to spas where you get way lesser and ugly attitudes for way more expensive .but we were so happy to have found this place for that low price yet a great service .Btw my masseuer Antwon is one of the best masseuer I have really trusted and reason I keep going great hands and I must say his hands have something magical because I always fall asleep and believe me I've made it a purpose to attempt not to fall asleep but he always wins ...lol read more

If you like a light touch, you need to tell the massuse that, so I have no sympathy for the people who are lowering their rating becuase the massage was too hard. Found this place originally because of Groupon and I managed to get a same-day reservation. Stoked that I did because I think I found my new regular massage place! I have been getting regular massages for 4 years and am a firm believer in the power of physical therapy. I had been with my last therapist for 2 years before she moved away and I had been literally aching for help. Glad I stopped by, as the service Yvonne provided was awesome. The environment is clean, tasteful (if not dated) and welcoming. Yea, the storefront faces the main fairway in a shopping plaza, but you can't tell once inside. Yvonne was responsive, attentive and more importantly took direction well and also understood that I wanted to relax and made only brief, polite conversation. I've tried other massage therapists and never gone back because they wouldn't take a hint! She did an amazing job and I can't wait to go back. Only one critique: though the aromatherapy is complimentary, I would suggest maybe getting rid of any alcohol-based aroma sprays. Just stick to natural oils, as the alcohol can be overpowering. Upon our arrival there was a single red rose, cupcakes and peach moscato on the cute little patio. The couples room is very sweet and welcoming. Our massages were wonderful and we did not feel rushed to get dressed and leave. The only thing I would do differently is the music. We prefer a more soothing, environmental sound track.
