We have had nothing but fantastic experiences with the entire team at Intermountain Pet Hospital in Middleton. Our two dogs have been patients for about 1 year and have had several appointments within the last year, ranging from allergy management to annual checkups. Both doctors we have worked with, as well as the countless veterinary technicians and receptionists, have been very knowledgeable, helpful, and compassionate. They also have been incredibly flexible with changes we have had to make in scheduling, and often have same-day appointments available for urgent medical needs. Technicians and veterinarians alike have handled our pets using fear-free techniques to make the experience as pleasant as it can be for our stressed and anxious dogs. Again, I cannot recommend them enough. read more

My dog, Isabel, is 15 and has been coming to this facility for over four years. She has always had the most wonderful and caring doctors-Dr. Bingham and Dr. Wunz. The staff are wonderful as well. All procedures and costs are discussed and approved by the owner. I have been seen right away when she had an emergency. I am very happy with this pet hospital. read more

Brought our dog in for evaluation after showing signs of lethargy and overall weakness. After a $400 'evaluation' and a $600 ultrasound we were told that all signs point to Cushings Disease. Utilizing a graphic printout (like walking an auto buyer through a four square) the doctor said he wouldn't make a diagnosis unless we conducted an all day, $1000.00 test to confirm his 'findings'. They didn't even recommend simple anti-inflammatories, which we did on our own, that had our pup walking and comfy. Went to a second vet office and were prescribed two meds for Cushings. The office visit was $67.00 not including the meds. Run away from these corrupt corporate shysters. read more

I have two dogs that i take to IPH Middleton, specifically Dr Willis, and after I left the office today having had both dogs seen I sat in the parking lot and texted my daughters that I have never had a vet that i love as much as Dr Willis and this office. My one dog is a rescue, an extremely anxious German Shepherd named Jack who has a history of extreme neglect. I need to give muzzle him when i take him to the vet. Dr Willis has taken an extraordinary amount of time with him over the last two years and he's slowly becoming less anxious there. And there's one vet tech in particular, Cole, who seems to have a special way with Jack and just makes me feel like he really cares. Both dogs have certain recurring issues and Dr Willis has always taken the least invasive, least expensive route possible to treat. She has also recommended less expensive supplements, and i have never felt like there was a decision made purely to pad my bill. I cannot recommend IHP Middleton enough. read more

It was $300 dollars for ear drops some medicine for my cats congestion and some wipes for under her chin, I think just to see her was $80 since we were first time patients it was $217 it's kinda ridiculous the way the staff sat there and explained why it's so much it's stupid it even came to that much, I get it's expensive ofc it's going to be but not that expensive everywhere else I've been has been way better then they have read more

I have been to a lot of vets over the years and I am super impressed. Brought my ferret Moose in yesterday and everyone was so kind. Dr. Wunz saw us and was kind, knowledgeable and friendly. Even though they are in another city from me, I will continue with this clinic. Thank you! read more

I have never yelped and opened an account just for this review...stay away!! My legal last name is Gustafson so that will be what's on file...Absolutely horrible! Once they became Intermountain it just became a corporate money making machine that has no interest in the pet's welfare. I took my Tank in due to enlarged abdomen and increased appetite. All signs pointed to Cushings and after around $1000 in fees, they still wanted more "tests" and had administered nothing to relieve his discomfort. I took him to Dr. Bean in Star (highly recommended) and after a $65 visit she has him on all his meds and he is doing great! Don't buy in to these corporate crooks. They care nothing about your pet, just what they can drain you for. Even their responses to bad reviews are cold and unfeeling. I wish I could give negative stars read more

No stars this place is a joke brought my 4 year old Yorkie in right away because of a growth on his leg they said right away he needed to have surgery and it removed. After a week it started to go away then I brought him in on day of surgery and said I wanted to have it re checked before I go ahead with surgery and the lady was rude said I had to make another appt. I said I was taking him to get a second opinion and she was so rude I will never go Back to this place again and they need to have some training on bed side manner and customer service!!! read more

Les than 1 star. I had them put my Dog of 13 years down. I paid $250 to have him cremated. It has been a month with no response. I asked them to expedite me through the line and get my dog put down as quickly as possible.... They made me wait. I loved my dog. Don't take your animals here. read more

No stars!! The doctor killed my family's cat!! My family moved here a year ago, so it's a new area for them. When our cat came in for a check up being he was due for his annual checkup, the Dr. said he was due a leukemia shot. My parents went ahead and had it done. Within 2 days, our cat was sick. Vomiting, Fever & not eating. My father took him back in the next day and thought it may have been a reaction to the vaccine. Dr. Said, "Let's do a leukemia test on him". At the time my father was just worried about our cat so didn't think anything of it but they did the test. It came back positive. Our cat wasn't showing any signs of being sick & perfectly healthy prior to his checkup. Now he's severely sick?! He offered more expensive therapy or stuff he could possibly take to help the symptoms but that was just too much for my family being they already dished out close to $1000.00 for 4 pets that week on check ups. Our cat was left having to come home to wait it out to see if he would make it longer with this leukemia (being the doctor said they could live years with it) or pass on from it. Within exactly 1 week from getting that leukemia shot, he died. My parents later questioned, 'seems funny he asked right away if he could do a leukemia test without examining him first or testing for other illnesses. He knew he gave it to him & he killed him'. They're still upset about this as this happened a month ago or so. They'll never go back to this Veterinarian again and they will tell anyone who asks about this guy about their experience as well. We feel he was only out for money for continuous tests & unneeded meds that he was hoping my parents would purchase after his 'diagnoses'. Our cat was healthy and was an inside cat that was never exposed to other cats. Don't go to this Vet!! Find one in Caldwell, Emmitt or Boise if you need to. We found out the hard way that just because a doctor is convenient, doesn't mean they're honest or nice. read more

Being a very informed and experienced dog owner, I have a tough time liking a lot of vets; I expect in-depth information, straight forward approaches, sensitivity to my fears, and honest answers about how aggressive something needs to be treated. Middleton Vet did all of that and more. I love the country vet, adore that instead of needless test, (though I was 100% willing to throw my money at whatever he recommended), he took a conservative approach and insisted that I call him in three days to update him on my dogs condition. You can tell they care; they care about your pet, your peace of mind, and not making a lucrative profit off of every patient. I highly recommend them, and that's a lot coming from an overly protective doggy mom. read more

Get a second opinion...Question all of the diagnosis and meds.. Look at the xrays closely. BE CAREFUL and AWARE..You are your Pets advocate and only you are responsible...Get a second opinion...We did and we are thankful that we took the initiative.... read more

I love Dr. Kelly Hall he has been my Vet for Years, When I had Horse and cows he was always there for me, I got my little dog about 4yrs ago and Dr. Hall has been taking VERY good care of her. My review: EXTREMELY POOR!!! Doesn't even deserve one star. I took my dog in to have his ears examined. My dog is a 10 lb chihuahua mix. I warned the vet tech that he might nip and that it would be a good idea for him to be muzzled. She gave me a muzzle to put on my dog, and so, I put the muzzle on my dog. Shortly after, Dr. R. Kelly Hall came in to begin the examination. My dog was NEVER examined by Dr.R. Kelly Hall in the past, so Dr. R. Kelly Hall did not know anything about my dog, other than he "might" bite because I TOLD him that, knowing that my little chihuahua mix experiences extreme anxiety whenever he's in a vet office. There was a brief conversation about how my dog might bite. (Note the key word "might" and also note that I WARNED the vet and the vet tech!) Then, immediately afterwards and within 5 minutes of Dr. R.Kelly Hall entering the room, he grabs my dog in an aggressive manner, picking him up and turning him upside down. When this happened, Dr. R. Kelly Hall didn't give me any warning towards what he was about to do, nor did my dog do anything to him that would've have caused him to pick my dog up in such an aggressive manner. Prior to this happening, my dog was standing on the table, muzzled, trembling. He was NOT trying to bite anyone. After Dr. R. Kelly Hall aggressively picked up my dog and turned him upside down, he told me: "This is how you handle a dog like this." and then proceeded to quickly slam my dog onto the table so that my dog landed on his back. I was shocked! I could not believe what I just witnessed; and of course, my dog was even more freaked out than before. Dr. R. Kelly Hall then went on and on, talking to me as if I was paying him for training lessons about handling dogs by using dominant actions. I didn't take my dog to Dr. R. Kelly Hall for training lessons and I do not embrace this type of training. Been there-done that! How dare he do this to my dog! As if this wasn't enough, he attempted to examine my dog's ear while my dog was muzzled, on his back and having his head pushed into the table. What happened next? My dog defecated and urinated all over the table. His little heart was pounding. It was then that I told Dr. R. Kelly Hall to let go of my dog, that I would hold him. He said "No, it would be a liability. So you'll have to go somewhere else." I responded, "Then, that's what I'll do. Let go of my dog." He did. I was so upset and my dog was so upset. What kind of vet does this????? I didn't go to Dr. R. Kelly Hall for a lesson on training dogs. Not to mention, Dr. R. Kelly Hall didn't know ANYTHING about my dog's health history. He didn't know if my dog had a bad back, a bad heart, etc. He never met my dog until this visit. What if my dog had a bad back or a bad heart??? He could've killed him! I understand that vets have to take a cautious approach when it comes to dogs that are aggressive. However, my dog was not aggressive and what Dr. R. Kelly Hall did was unexpected and uncalled for. Anyone that is a true animal lover and considers their pet as a part of their family would consider this animal abuse. My dog is now traumatized and it's likely he will have a difficult time getting over this the next time he goes to the vet. I am traumatized over this as well. I can't believe what happened. Now that I've had the time to think about what happened, I know FOR SURE that I will never, ever go to Middleton Veterinary Hospital again. I regret putting my trust into Dr. R. Kelly Hall because my trust was VIOLATED!!! Think twice before putting your trust into Dr. R. Kelly Hall at Middleton Veterinary Hospital in Middleton, Idaho!!! read more
