Another amazing adventure. The Northern lights were spectacular, dog sledding and reindeer sleighs, Viking meals and the incredible ice hotel. After last year's adventure in Galapagos, swimming with sea lion, iguana, penguin, sharks and giant sea turtles, walking with ancient giant tortoise, and close encounters with the elusive Blue footed Boobies, these are once in a lifetime memories along with wonderful people and incredible organization by Mark and Anna. Fun, interactive arrangements expertly coordinate and flexible for everyone to enjoy. I'll be on another adventure with them very soon. No better way to travel. read more

Just back from an amazing trip to Jordan and Egypt with Anna and Marc. The sights were great, the hotels were top-notch, and A&M really seemed to know what they were doing. I joined Marc & Anna along with 18 others this Sept. on the Orient Express. I like the flexibility of doing things with the group, a few select people or on your own (depending on your interests). There is freedom to go about it how you see fit. It's also nice to be able to experience visiting these different countries with others and share memories that will last a lifetime! I've been on two trips with Marc and Anna - Maccu Pichu and the Orient Express. Both trips, and for that matter all the trips they plan, strike a good balance between guided tour and do-your-own thing. That's perfect for me. I never feel constricted by the group. They have the right number of group dinners. The hotels are always good quality. And as a single person, that wants to travel, but doesn't always want to be "on guard because you are by yourself" I'm able to make friends. If you have questions they are always attentive. Months before the trip they hold regular zoom calls and will share what to expect, what to pack, currency, culture, events, pace. Mark and Anna are both gracious people. If they can help you out they will. Marc literally carries around a cornucopia of over the counter meds and supplies. I'm already browsing the future trips. Safe travels! read more

What an amazing trip to Thailand we had! We started with a three day stay in a remote hill-tribe village for our visit to an elephant sanctuary. This was no typical tourist elephant sanctuary but a true sanctuary in the forest. Both the sanctuary and our stay in the village were memorable life experiences. So grateful to Internet Tours for selecting this journey for us. We proceeded to Bangkok, Phuket, Phi Phi Island, and Krabi. The trip was very well organized, details worked out in advance, and our leader, Kate, was wonderful. I've also taken several cruises organized by Internet Tours and all were outstanding experiences, particularly the private land excursions they coordinated. I just returned from the Orient Express trip that Anna organized along with Marc (Oddie). The trip involved coordinating many details for the flights, rail trips, hotels, and tour guides. Everything came together as promised. Marc gives the participants lots of flexibility: they can go with the group tour or skip it. He usually gives us considerable free time to do as we wish. My wife had never been to the various cities we visited. Each city had its own character. Group size (20) was just right. I saw the large tour groups (such as Viking) and I was glad we were not with them. Marc & Anna have offered this Orient Express trip on multiple occasions so they are familiar with the venues. I am recommending their tour company to my friends. read more

THE GOOD flight/train coordination, hotel rooms--centrally located in each city. Pera Hotel was wonderful. All hotels offered terrific breakfasts. THE BAD --lots of wasted time. Marc babbled on and on often repeating. Very little value added. - -dragged bags from train station to hotel at 11:00 pm after a full day of touring and a four hour train trip. --lots of free time but little to no help in securing tickets for activities that were of interest to me and not included in the pass. Concierges at hotels were the go to for dinner reservations and activities. --Anna seemed more interested in eating and shopping than enjoying the cities' culture, architecture, history, important buildings, etc. Marc frequently disappeared for long periods of time. --speed walking through Paris because Marc let a couple on tour control the pace. Unable to enjoy the Parisian experience. I can speed walk at home. --Marc frequently responded to Anna in a condescending manner. THE UGLY First let me say that I am from D.C. and have access to world class museums and tours of these museums, both docent led and audio. Also, DC is a short train trip to NYC for more museums. --Marc presented himself as a tour guide @ the Louvre giving out information on how paint was made when the art work was painted but no information on the artist, technique the artist used, what the painting was saying, the genre, artist movements, etc. Louvre employee asked him for credentials but Marc produced some Louvre membership card that anyone can get after making a donation. He seemed surprised the Louvre was open late on Fridays. Marc needs to get training and credentialed if he wants to be taken seriously as a tour guide. --Anna tried to renege on a single sleeper on one leg of the train trip citing the worn out Covid excuse. I paid an additional $1500 for the single supplement. I did get my single sleeper after strongly objecting to sharing. The single supplement was 3Xs more than the 10% Anna claimed I paid! Bottom line: Internet Tours logistics as far as booking flights, trains, and hotels were good. The remainder of the "Orient Express" experience lacked a level of professionalism and wow factor I associated with an "Orient Express" experience. Look somewhere else or plan your own trip. read more

Re: my review....I must add that the cities we visited (Paris, Venice, Vienna, Prague, Budapest and Istanbul) are all absolutely beautiful, breath-takingly historic, ever-interesting, and full of the spirit of the old world. I am always delighted and enlightened to revisit these important Capitols, and felt heart-happy to be in each of the venues. But I believe there is a better and less stressful way to see them. read more

Just returned from 11-days Orient Express Meetup, best trip of my life! Marc is a history and travel encyclopedia, smart, funny, and passionate about travel. Anna is a travel pro, super organized, smart, funny and dedicated. The two guided 16 of us on a wonderful loose tour. Loose means you are not tied to the group, but have numerous options. I loved going off my own, using public transit and re-joining everyone. We all got along great, and it was so fun to have people to joke and talk with at dinner or breakfast. This tour is for people who can handle lots of walking, minimum 10,000 steps per day, balanced out by aperitifs and fine dining in Paris, pizza in Venice, icecream dumplings in Vienna, Hungarian goulash, and Turkish Delight, to name just a few treats! Every city was more incredible than the next. The hotels were top of the line and filled with local charm, often in historic districts. The train travel: don't expect turn-of-the century luxe; these are compact and functional trains; pack light and don't bring your whole house with you! Just a tiny sample of the dazzling highlights: top of the Bell Tower in Prague, boat tour in Venice, 360-view from the top of the Arc de Triomphe, Versailles, the Belvedere Castle and Klimt display in Vienna, Freud Museum, Czeck's Terezin, Budapest's Terror Haus and ruins pubs; and don't miss the tombs of the imperial leaders in Venice; they are unlike anything you could imagine.
