Tech was very unprofessional did not do the job.just came and did .the bare minuim On Friday call abou t25 times no response!!!!!!!! At 1:45 am Fri. / AC UNIT STOP WORKING on Sat. morning,called 12 about times some one called me back 9;25 am said they dont work in Scherts Tx on weekends to far ??????? Our heater stopped working on Thursday afternoon. Intrastate came out Friday and diagnosed the problem - a bad control panel. Raymond called on Monday and said the part was in and he would be over Tuesday to fix it. He came Tuesday about 1 pm and installed the new part. He is friendly, courteous and a good communicator. We have used Intrastate on two other occasions and been very satisfied with their service. We highly recommend them. read more

They wanted to charge me $650 for freon, which I have paid other companies 200 and 250 in the past. When I called them out they said oh well those are our prices! So I called AHS and told them I would find my own AC repair company. When I told them I did not have enough for the Freon since I was ready for about $300. They figured instead of letting me pay them on the 1st which was only about 7 days away, that they would cut my Freon line and pull out two plugs from my AC so that it would drain. When I had a friend look at it, I was furious, a new company had to replace the plugs the stole and solder the pipe back together. Rude as hell too....... Good luck! read more

Intrastate came out to diagnose an issue with my heating/cooling. The diagnosis was that the compressor went out and either the whole unit should be replaced or the compressor be replaced. Both options were presented to my home warranty company. The home warranty company elects to only replace the compressor. I re-contact Intrastate and inform them that the compressor was just recently replaced in 2015 and I'm concerned there may be something wrong with the unit, as a compressor should last more than 3 years. They put the dispatch technician on the phone and I ask him his opinion. He stated that the unit looked fine. I followed up by asking, why he thought the compressor had to be replaced since it was just recently replaced. He gave me the process of what goes on during a compressor replacement and says he believes the process was not followed correctly because of the acid build up (or whatever his explanation was). I ask if they passed that information to the home warranty and they stated no. I asked them specifically what do I need to do to get that information to the home warranty and they said just have them call us. I re-contacted my home warranty because I did not feel I should have to pay the cost of refrigerant (not covered as part of the compressor repair) since it was explained to me that the original repair most likely caused the pre-mature death of the replacment compressor. The home warranty company researched my account and found that the compressor was replaced in 2015 by.....INTRASTATE. She attempted to contact them and left a voice mail and e-mail. I re-contacted Instrastate and their original explanation to me CHANGED and they stated they never said anything I told the home warranty company. If they didn't tell me that, then WHY did I contact my home warranty with their explanation. Why did I even contact them in the first place. The person answering the phone said he heard the entire conversation and something about oil (never mentioned on the call by the way) and compressors could be damaged in transit and etc et etc. All these "new" reasons that were not explained on the initial call. He stated that his dispatch technician never said it was a faulty repair because no one could know or prove that. Ok, fair enough, maybe it was an assumption but it was STILL explained to me that was his diagnosis of the failure. None of the other items were mentioned. So why was that not passed on to home warranty? Why did the story change when all of the sudden we now know it was Intrastate that did the repair? He even went as far as to say, my dispatch tech is here and on speaker, do you want to call him a liar? As a result, I'm getting a second opinion from a different company. I will never have this shady, lying, rude and dishonest company ever work on any of my homes. I'll be sure to hit up every review site I can with this same information as well. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I can understand a simple miscommunication, but this was a complete 180 degree change of story once they knew they were the original company that did the initial repair. read more

Excellent company! IntraState Energy was initially assigned to us from our home warranty company to repair an issue we were having with the AC at our rental property back in Feb 2017. They were out to resolve the problem quickly and efficiently. A few months later, the same issue surfaced. Our home warranty company gave us the run around with no help to assist us in fixing this reoccurring problem. I contacted Michael with InterState to let him know the situation. He quickly sent someone out to the house within a couple hours, resolved the problem, AND dealt with the home warranty company for me! I really appreciated how he stayed in direct contact with me via text throughout the whole process. This is an honest company that takes pride in their work! Had this company sent out to service our AC through Anerican Home Shield on a Monday or Tuesday as it wasnt cooling the house correctly. They determined it was a bad TXV valve. Had to wait a couple days for the part to come in and was told it would be no later than Friday. Friday comes and they got the wrong part and wouldnt be able to replace until Monday. No big deal I understand thing happen. AC worked good for a couple days and then went back to not working. Called insurance to have these guys come out again and check it out. They said everything was working correctly and nothing else could be done, but that a damper would help as we have a 2 story home and they would relay that to insurance company. They even told AHS they werent going to come back because nothing was wrong. I figured it was a bad evaporator coil as the Lennox brand have been known to have these coils go bad. There is even a class action lawsuit for these coils. They didnt even bother checking the coil even after the first visit and I told them I think the coil is bad. If they did check it, they completely ignored it. Had insurance send out another company and within 30 mins he diagnosed a bad evaporator coil. Would not recommend Intrastate. Included is a picture of the coil the new company replaced that supposedly nothing was wrong with. read more

My AC went out in my house. They came and replaced the AC unit, and in the process, messed up my dryer vent which caused it to leak into the drywall and cause a hole. They refused to take responsibility for their mistake, and refused to repair their damage. I now have to hire another company to fix their mistake. read more

Was contracted thru AHS to fix my a/c unit. They came out same day which was good. They said it was the disconnect. But they can't fix that only electricians can that I need to have AHS contract one?!? Seriously!I had to call another a/c company (not electricians) to come out. They replaced the disconnect & I was back in business. This company just doesn't want to do the work. Don't use them! read more

This HVAC company is great! They have come to my house several times. Original American Home Shield sent them, but since then I have hired them on my own several times. They have saved me HUGE money, they are very reasonable priced. They took pictures of my HVAC in the attic & showed them to me to explain what they found & clearly explained everything in lamans terms. They did not do any unneccesary work and told me future issues I might have, but that do not pose a problem right now. highly recommended! read more
