TLDR; Very frustrated with their customer service. They ghosted me and never refunded me from a service charge that I paid for but never received from them. Even though they said they would send me a refund. Context: I had a new HVAC build plus ductwork on a 1,000 sq ft home. For the most part the equipment works fine with the exception that it seems undersized when we have extreme climates in San Antonio (i.e below 30 degrees or in the upper 90s) as it struggles to maintain desired temperature in those situations. For the heater, my desired temp is ~66 degrees in the winter and for the AC, the desired temp is about 75 degrees in summer. I change out my filters twice a month since I have dogs and I run all my fans and have good overall insulation in my house. Regardless, I never really complained about these issues since I paid about half of what I would have paid for an HVAC system from a larger company. You get what you pay for. My issue with Miller Cooling and Heating company is their customer service. The one time I did call them regarding an issue the tone in voice I got from Shawn over the phone was very defensive and I was not even coming in strong to deserve that but quite frankly, I've felt this way every time I talked to him. When they came onsite to address my issue I was sold an "annual priority membership service" for $165 and they were supposed to come out twice a year to maintain the system health but they never came. Every time I would try to call them about it I would get ghosted and or get the runaround. At this point, I've talked to a Molly, a "Larry" which might've been a chat bot I don't know and I've tried talking with Shawn directly. Nonetheless this phone tag game spanned over the course of a year and when I finally got tired of it I asked for a refund which they said they would honor half but that was about a month ago in early April 2025 and still have not received anything. At this point I'm tired of dealing with this, it's not the customers job to keep track of their schedule. It's very unprofessional of them to put it on the customer to be on top of their bi annual service schedule. How am I supposed to know when you guys do your rounds? I'll be filing a complaint and taking my business elsewhere. It's a shame because I even referred them to a relative and gave them business but still got treated poorly. We bought our home in February of 2020. Our AC unit went out in July of 2022, 29 months later. Miller Cooling and Heating came out and recommended a full condenser unit replacement. The price was a little above market average, but they were willing to workout an in house financing option for us, so we were pleased.... at first. In August 2023, the same brand new unit lost a compressor only 13 months after a complete installation and replacement. The reason it went out was due to a leak in freon inside the walls right next to the condenser unit. They honored our warranty and only charged us for a service call and gave prompt and timely service... but then charged me over $2000 to replace the copper piping they say wasn't their fault... they claim it was "vibration" that damaged the pipe and they weren't responsible for the small crack in the pipe in the crease of the bend.... However, 29 months that same pipe held up just fine in my old AC unit. Once they replaced the condenser and attached to it, it barely lasted a year. The Crack is very very small... It seems logical to me that it would take 13 months to lose between 12-15 pounds of freon from that small of a crack, which indicates to me that Miller Cooling and Heating cracked that pipe while replacing the condenser and didn't want to pay for it. Shaun was very rude on the phone and refused to work with me at all, most of the charge coming from labor.... I have spoken with several AC specialists since then, offering up my paperwork stating charges and services and they all believe that Miller Cooling and Heating is to blame. I am an avid supporter of small business, but i have yet to pay the 2000 they want to charge me. If Shaun were willing to work with me I wouldn't be on here right now... but I can assure you that if you are seeking an honest company, this isn't the one you are seeking. Go somewhere else and save yourself potential money... because if they make a mistake, they certainly won't own up for it. Horrible service. Had new unit installed on 6/2021 for $7900 plus ductwork a total for 13k. We have had nothing but issues with it. Within the first year had to pay an additional $730 due to a compressor going out and they said refrigerant went bad had to pay for it. I've spoken To multiple companies who have said they should Honor their warranty and cover the refrigerant. Keep in mind I've requested the warranty paperwork on numerous occasions and still today nearing year 3 haven't seen it. Yesterday I ask for a service call and also let them know it wasn't working. Was told it was fuses which I knew it wasn't and then said it's the compressor again. Today they come up with a bogus plan to say it needs cleaning and also more refrigerant and it's 150 for compressor for a total of 1695. I also found out today the company registered my ac Warranty under their name. I wouldn't recommend they may have a warranty but are always trying to find a way to make up for cost. For a new machine this company has been horrible. We used this company prior to this and they did good work but now I wouldn't recommend once dealing with this for 3 years. This machine has broken more than 4 times in 3 years. We aren't tenants so that once again is wrong; the ac is closed in. We do have dogs outside. You also didn't respond to the emails requesting the warranty. You have fixed an ac at our rental property but once again you haven't held up your part of the deal. I called around and no one around town could come out to look at my A/C until weeks later and living in South Texas I really needed my a/c fixed so when a friend recommended Miller I called and the very next day they showed up and fixed my A/C. Called Miller cooling and heating Saturday night and the technician was at my door first thing in the morning. He diagnosed and repaired my a/c in minutes. Price was reasonable, especially for being a Sunday morning. Will definitely call them in the future. read more

He definitely went the extra mile in fixing my system. When I explained that I had cancer and I was going through chemo he jumped into action and got busy. He ordered the new system and got it installed on time. He gave me a great price right on budget. I would highly recommend him and will use him in the future if I need him. read more

My Company uses Miller Cooling Services, so when my ac at my house wasn't working I gave them a call. They are fast reliable and are always there on time! There services are great very professional. They have the most affordable prices in town. I described what was wrong and he instantly had an idea what was wrong. Withing less than 30 mins the issue was resolved and was at an extremely reasonable price. I would definitely refer him to my other friends. read more
