I have had numerous MRIs over the past 20 years for various athletic injuries and other conditions, and my experience with InVision was by far the best I have ever had when getting an MRI. There was no wait -- as soon as I got there and filled out the paperwork, I was off to get the scan. And it should be mentioned that their waiting room was beautiful -- it was more reminiscent of an interior design studio than an imaging center. The best part was that my scan only took 20 minutes (and they had the "Dirty Dancing" soundtrack playing on the headphones they give you to wear during the scan). I am a bit claustrophobic when it comes to going all the way in the MRI, but their machine seemed to have at least 3-4 inches of extra room compared to some other MRI machines I have been in, so no claustrophobia was experienced. As soon as I got changed and was ready to leave, they handed me a disc with the images on it and told me my doctor would most likely have a report the next day. I was dreading this as I am extremely claustrophobic and did not want to do this appointment but I instantly felt comfortable the minute I walked in the door. The staff was kind and compassionate. The room was brightly lit the equipment was clean and open the tables are wide with great airflow. Although this is not considered an Open MRI, it is the closest thing you're going to get. The staff checked in with me every couple seconds to make sure that I was comfortable. No one likes to have an MRI but if I need another one this is definitely where I will be going I could not have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! They are unprofessional, rude, and do not care about customer service. The dark haired secretary who sits in the corner of the front office is so condescending and the tall tech Aja was incredibly aggressive and demeaning. They should be ashamed of themselves for making vulnerable patients feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Do not go here unless you want to be treated horribly. It is incredulous that this office remains open. The office manager should fire at least the secretary and the tech that have no empathy for sick patients. I had a CTA of the coronary schedule to be done there today and the appointment was made on 4/21/17 almost 3 weeks ago. They called me yesterday at 4:24 pm to let me know that my insurance hadn't respond to the preauthorization request. She made it sound like they had done that a while ago. I called my insurance and they couldn't find the request, I made a conference line and got everyone on the phone. Come to find out the request was not submitted until yesterday, really?! They knew for almost 3 weeks about my procedure and they wait until the day before to put in a request? The Invision employee was very eager for me to sign the insurance waiver (I pay out of pocket). I wonder if they do this purposely so they get the money they want and don't have to deal with the insurance companies ( schedule benefits payment) I was very upset about having to cancel/reschedule my appointment in such a short notice, I expressed how disappointed I was and all they did was argue with me and tell the they were short staffed. In a nut shell I think they are very unprofessional and their bedside manners very poor. I don't recommend you should trust your heart to them, You are just a pile is cash in their eyes. read more

I recently had an arthrogram of my shoulder done. Before the procedure I had mentioned that I needed minimal radiation exposure (as anyone should). They covered me up with a shield, however, I don't think they would have had I not said anything. Dr. Andrew S Malatskey proceeded to inject the anesthetic. They were to take ONE CT Scan to verify the needle was in the correct location, then inject the dye. The doctor could not get it right. It took him 4 times and 4 CT scans to inject the dye, which still wasn't correct. I should have walked away after the second try. I was exposed to more radiation than I needed to be and my images did not come out the best. I would recommend going somewhere where they use real-time x-rays for arthrograms and employ more competent doctors. read more

TOTAL SCAM. The actual MRIs were fine. But they over-billed me. I was surprised by the bill amount from Wave Imaging LLC, the company behind Invision, but I paid it anyway. A few months later, they sent a refund check for the difference, but the check was predated 100 days PRIOR to the date they actually mailed it, so my bank refused to cash it because it was older than 90 days. I called Wave/Invision, they said they'd send a new check. Nearly ONE YEAR LATER, I received the new check, and once again the date on the check was predated 100 days PRIOR to the postmark on the envelope! Again, the bank refuses to cash it because it's older than 90 days. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM! read more

Excellent place for MRI! I wish I could give them 10 stars!!! I recently went to another imaging center for an MRI on my head that only offered the Closed Bore MRI after about two seconds in that tube I had to cancel my appointment due to claustrophobia (I never knew I had it). I was rescheduled at the Newport Beach Invision location because they offered an Wide Bore MRI. I was a still a bit hesitant so I called and spoke with Sheree who was very kind and explained how different the Wide Bore option was. I also had my physician prescribe one Valium to take prior to my appointment to help me relax a bit. Sure enough, Sheree was right. The room I was in was light and bright. and the machine was a fraction of the size of the Close Bore option. I had Moses for my technician and he walked me through the whole process making me feel very comfortable and relaxed. At this facility they offer a periscope type option that is part of the mask they fit over your head if you want to look outside that made a HUGE difference. I also had ear plugs and headphones provided to me. My husband was also in the room with me, which helped a lot, too. read more

That had to do an injection and it's very hard to find a vein, but not for Moses ... He injected me quicker than I could say, did you find a vein? It was funny. Was quoted $1000 for the CT scans and MRI with a discount after I receive the bill. When received the bill it was almost the double of what they quoted me. They billed my insurance way to high saying that i have high deductible and when i asked if they will honor their promise of the discount they blame my insurance for not allowing it. My insurance doesn't care if i get additional discount but Invision's billing department is keep calling me to discuss my bill...what do you want to discuss?? I was petrified for this Head and Neck Angiogram. They made it so easy for me. Moses was an amazing technician and walked me through everything....he had to as I took a little extra valium. They were polite, instructed me so I would not freak myself out and if you have to do this, this is the place. They also have the T3 machine, which can also make a Hugh difference! I have never had any imaging done before in my life. I went into have an MRI done from a hockey injury that I had. Of course I was a bit nervous and did not know what to expect. Linda and Moses helped me along the way, told me what to expect. Their imaging machines are top of the line and new. The waiting room was nice, they have free waters, coffee, and an espresso machine. I believe Free WIFI also. There was no waiting, they told me to be there 15 minutes before my appointment time to fill out forms and when it was my appointment time, I was in, they told me it would take 45 min. And that is what it took. I would recommend this to my family and friends, they have professional top notch doctors reading the reports. Professional and patient focused all the way!!! read more

Heather at the front desk was helpful and pleasant- I asked several questions and she patient in answereing. The tech (sorry forgot his name) was also a good guy. On time and courteous. One comment is that I found it difficult in finding their building. Address says they are on Newport Center Drive. My GPS could not accurately find them. Had previous great experience. Under new management, called for MRI. I am a cash customer and they refused to quote a rate. Said they had to check insurance first. Wont work with cash customer. Even though my insurance pays for most, this is how medical companies keep cost high. They do not want you competitively shopping them. It is one of the biggest reasons healthcare cost so much. add to it they were very rude. Sent me to a scheduler to get insurance info and I was on hold 15 minutes before giving up and hanging up. I called two other places and got $550 cash prices easily over the phone, same day appointment set. Bought by Memorial. Don't trust these guys anymore. too bad, had great prior experience. read more

I have been here several times in the last four years for brain MRIs and CT scans. The last three visits they did not follow my doctor's written orders for my CT scans!!! Stage IV cancer patient and they skipped the oral dye or Barium Sulfate wtf!?! Never ever will I go there again! These tests cost a thousands of dollars! On top of this when I called to ask about the Barium they lied to me and said we use water! The last time I was there was hey didn't even tell me to drink water!!!! read more

I would never recommend this place. My prescribing doctor suggested I obtain an MRI at InVision instead of Hoag. My appointment time was 4:15. Per their automated directions it said to arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork. I arrived at 4:05, paperwork completed by about 4:15. At 4:50 I asked about how much longer the wait, I was told 10 minutes. At 5:20pm I asked again, and was told you can come back now. Staff seemed to be unhappy that I was inquiring about wait time. When I got back staff were not particularly happy, or helpful. Because of way tech placed sandbags on my ankle - (sandbags kept moving) had to do MRI twice. Staff never apologized for wait. Staff did not seem to understand I am consumer/customer. Never would have waited this long, or been treated so rudely at Hoag. Would never go back, or recommend. read more

I had an MRI there on 03/10/14 and I must say it was a surprisingly great experience! I say that because many years back, I had a car accident that left me EXTREMELY claustrophobic! In the past I have avoided MRI's because of the narrow tubes you are put into. Invision's waiting room is decorated a little like an art gallery, not a doctors office so it distracted me from my fear a bit. The front desk gal was great and especially the ones who helped me through my test Moises and Linda - they were supportive, worked as a team and got me through it. It may just be 'doing their job', but to me their technique helped me git 'er done (as Moises put it) and made all the difference! The MRI machine is in a well lit room with a window looking out onto a street - it's a lot more comforting than being in a darker room with no windows and minimal light. My wife had a terrible experience with this company on November 24, 2015. In preparation for an MRI she was required to completely fast from all food and WATER for six hours prior to the procedure. We arrived 15 minutes early, as requested, but still had to wait for 45 minutes; then she was required to drink three large bottles of liquid Barium solution at 10 minute intervals prior to the procedure; during the MRI she was required to EXHALE completely and NOT BREATH for 20 or 30 seconds, multiple times! She was completely exhaused when finally completed. On our way home we stopped for a bite to eat where my wife totally colapsed at the restaurant. We had to call 911; the paramedics arrived; an ambulance transported her to Hoag hospital emergency services where we spent most of the evening. This whole ordeal should NEVER have occurred. I would give them a NEGATIVE 5 STARS as a result of this experience and would NEVER recommend this company. read more
