I took my MacBook Pro in for repair and was told they should have a diagnosis within a few days and would call me as soon as they knew what was going on. After a full week, I hadn't heard back and had to follow up myself. When I did, I was told it had already been diagnosed and was sitting on a shelf with notes on it and nobody had bothered to call me. The guy told me that it was dead and I needed a new computer. He mentioned they had a 2 year old refurbished MacBook they were trying to sell and maybe I should consider buying it. I almost did but it was much smaller than my laptop. Luckily, I decided to check out the new MacBooks at the Apple Store before I bought a new computer. In a last ditch effort to save my old laptop, I took it into the apple store with me when I went to look at new ones. The guy plugged it up and within minutes told me it was good and only needed minimal investment to repair. He wrote down what it needed and told me to go to micro center for the installation. I did, and for about $175.00 I got it fixed and upgraded in less than 48 hours. After all that, ipc still charged me for keeping it over a week and their misdiagnosis, which almost cost me thousands of dollars. To their credit, when I called to dispute the fee, the owner (I think) apologized and explained he was out of town and the guy just messed up. He also issued a credit for the diagnosis right away. I found them through Yelp reviews and they seemed to be legit. However, this is the experience I had with them regarding computer repair. It could have been an incredibly expensive mistake. Maybe they're better with phone repair. They seemed to have a steady stream of phone repair customers each time I was in their store. I just wouldn't take a computer there. I realize everyone makes mistakes, but OMG this one could have cost me $3,000.00 if I had decided to replace my MacBook with a new equivalent version. read more

My husband took his Samsung phone to fix the camera and it took a day to order the part and 20 minutes for them to fix it! We had shopped around before this and it would have taken 3 days to get the part in and 8 hours to fix it (seriously who lives without their phone for 8 hours?!?) and been twice the price. My computer was running slow and web pages weren't opening correctly. We took it in to them in the morning and they called us in the afternoon that the computer was fixed. They found a virus and ghosted my machine. Before they did this, they saved all of my items I had on my desktop on the computer. I appreciated that they did this. Wow. I'm amazed and incredibly happy with the service here. I came with water damage on my MacBook and what was to be a motherboard replacement turned into a two-week long complex fix and they were absolutely incredible and offered to refund me every penny if they couldn't get it done. I shattered the front and back of my iPhone 4S. I was scared to get it fixed as I heard friends say their phones stopped working or had problems. After reading all these great reviews I came here back in April and happy to say my phone works fine 2 months later. My battery is quickly dying so I will try this place again to replace it. Fingers crossed they can get this problem resolved as well as they fixed the glass screens. For the ladies there is a nail salon in the same shopping strip so makes it nice to get a manicure/pedicure while they fix your phone. read more

I took my PC in for diagnostics. They said it would take 24-48 hours to diagnose the issue (since I brought it in on a Saturday, and they are closed on Sundays). 72 hours later, I HAD TO CALL THEM to get any kind of update on my laptop. They told me they had sent my laptop to their other Houston location to check for water damage, and they'd need another 24-48 hours to get back to me! Not only did I not give them permission to move my laptop to another location (say I had to go pick up the laptop asap before they were finished with it to retrieve something off the hard drive for work; it wouldn't be at the location I dropped it off at!), but it took nearly a week to FINALLY get a call back just with a diagnostic report. When I went to go pick it up at the original location on Kriby (after it took a whole other day to bring it back from their second location office), it took nearly 20 minutes for them to even find my laptop! They had clearly misplaced it in the back. IPC may have a cheaper rate for computer diagnostic reports, but it's not worth it if you're waiting a whole week to get a simple update about your laptop's problems. read more

I've been to this location previously and had a good experience which is why I am surprised that upon a second visit, I received such terrible service. I went for a screen replacement on my iPhone and was told it would be $90, after about 30 minutes I returned to pick up my phone and pay. I paid and opened my phone and the screen resolution was completely different. I was told by the gentleman who serviced me that since they use after market products, this is the quality that I could expect. He told me that there was another option with similar quality to an Apple screen that was $160. I was told this AFTER i had already had the screen replaced and paid for the service. It should have been explained before the service that the resolution would change with this particular screen replacement and I should have been given all of my options beforehand, not after the fact. The employee there then proceeded to argue with me that it "was too much to explain to every customer". I am so disappointed with my experience here and will not return. read more

they know what they're doing but they're really bad about calling you back and fixing your stuff on time. i took my ipod on a saturday and they said they would call back in 24 to 48 hours. no one called me. i finally called them on wednesday and they said they'd call me by the end of the day once the new battery was put in. no one called. i called on friday and they said they were waiting on the new battery to come in after they had already told me the new battery was already there. the same thing happened with my laptop. it took 3-4 weeks to get it back. they dont call back and i kept having to call to check on the status. if time is a factor or you need it fixed relatively quick i wouldn't recommend this place. read more

This place was awesome. My wife dropped her iPhone 5 the night before we flew out on vacation and shattered her screen and she had class the next day (day we left). The plan was to pick her up from her MBA class early and head to the airport. So I had to scramble to get her screen fixed while running last minute errands. I looked at reviews on Yelp! and found iPC repair (tough to find legit places for iPhone screen repair). I trusted the reviews and called as I was headed that way. The guy said 25 minutes if I got there soon. I got there quickly AND he told me to get the Yelp! app and to use their add for a free screen cover. (I REALLY appreciate that!). He had me walking out of there in 20 minutes with a new screen and cover and I went to pick up my wife with her new screen and hurried to the airport. He saved the day. I would have written this sooner but we barely made our flight and this is the first time I had wifi overseas. This place is legit and solid and reasonable, too!!! Get this---their work and parts come with a warranty!! Who does that for this type of work nowadays?? No one! If anything ever breaks and iPC can fix it, I am coming back in a heartbeat. read more
