Before writing this review, I challenged myself to possibly give this place a second chance, but alas, I just can't. Positives first...the menu had really big font and was easy to read, they are open until 10 pm on most days, and the service was quick. Non-positives: Both the items I ordered just weren't right. First, I ordered a vegetarian pho. When it was brought out there appeared to be a bubbly film on the top (first key something wasn't right) Then as I poked around in the bowl, the noodles were sitting in the bottom of the bowl in a small clump. Now knowing pho, sometimes you have to stir them around to loosen the clump, so no big deal there. But it seemed that agitating the noodle clump released some starch or gluten and thickened the broth, hence the bubbly film. The pho became Ugh....sick and thick. It's like when you don't wash spaghetti noodles before cooking them and the starch makes the water really cloudy and a little thick. I had to do a lot to keep myself from throwing up in my mouth because it's like when your have a loogie in your mouth and no where to spit it so it oozes to the side of your mouth under your tongue or the pockets of your jaws. Then you have no choice but to swallow your lukewarm mucus. That was what it was like. (did your stomach turn a little?) Also the broth smelled like the washing soap used to clean the dishes. The waiter asked if everything was okay, I lied and said yes. I also ordered a pineapple bubble tea. They have the powder and real fruit versions. I opted for the powder version. I didn't see boba or jellies on the menu and the waiter didn't offer. I wish I would have gotten jellies because the tea had about 30% flavor and wasn't sweet and nothing special. I really don't like leaving this type of review on a pho place but it's my honest opinion. read more

BANH MI REVIEW. I have moved on from my pho obsession and am now on a Banh Mi kick. I got the chicken banh mi. The chicken tasted like it was marinated in teriyaki. I enjoyed it because I like that. The baguette was a little on the crunchier side. The roof of my mouth was totally shredded after eating the banh mi, but I enjoyed the flavors. Not too dry or too mayo-ish. Enough cukes and veggies to balance out the meat and baguette. Good service. Wasn't busy when I came in. Didn't have to wait too long for my sandwich. Pretty clean. You know its authentic when there's a nail salon and a laundromat next to it... you know its true too! Nothing fancy and it has the standard layout anywhere else. I know it doesn't have the number next to the name but trust me, I can vouch for the legitimacy of this place. The only thing I get here are their Bánh mì. This place is by far have the most legit víet sandwiches within the 60 mile radius of Seattle. I mean its no Lee's Sandwiches but its close. The bread is fresh, Pâté is acceptable, the meat is well marinated and the pickles are just right. The only thing I don't like is the amount of Cilantro they put in it and I always had to take out the stalks. I guess its a personal preference.. Other than that, I recommend this place for everyone looking for some awesome Bánh mì. Its not the same you'd get from H Chí Minh but this will do until then. read more

This is probably one if my favorite Vietnamese restaurants that serve delicious pho and pad thai. I come here religiously with my co-workers and normally I order the house special or the chicken pad thai. The atmosphere is pretty clean and quiet on the weekdays and the servers and cooks are very friendly and attentive. The prices are actually not to bad considering that I spend less then $20 for appetizer with two entrees. There isn't big selection of parking but it's manageable! read more

First off, I HATE it when I go into a restaurant to have dinner with family and the tv is on so loud I can barely think or hear table conversation. When we walked in, we almost turned around and walked out because the tv was on so loud. I don't expect a romantic quiet dinner out at a pho place but I also don't expect to be blasted with Wheel of Fortune. Everyone was hungry so we stayed. The game show that was on tv was so loud, we could barely hold a normal conversation at the table. It was super obnoxious and made for a very poor and disjointed dining experience. The food was ok. The pork in my bowl was fatty and grisl and there wasn't much meat to speak of. I ended up taking most of the pieces out and covering them up with a napkin on the table because they were so gross to look at. There weren't many veggies in the bowl either. I have pho and vermacelli bowls a lot at other places and I just felt they were very skimpy on the things that mattered, the meat, and the veggies. The bowl was so full of noodles, I could barely move them around to find substance of the bowl. The gal working was very nice and that is where the place earns two stars. We won't be back. read more

I stopped by here a couple of weeks ago. I had been next door getting my nails done and wanted to get a menu to take home. I ended up looking at the menu and ordering some pho to take home. They had just opened, so I was the only one there. I originally asked that they really spice up my pho as I really enjoy heat and it never seems to be spicy enough. I asked for a particular pho dish and asked them to use whatever it was they used for their one spicy soup dish and mix them so I could have both the heat and flavors I wanted. It was recommended that I get the spice on the side so I could taste the broth first and then add to it. This was the owner's daughter and she seemed proud of the broth, so I said ok. While I waited, we talked about the different types of fish sauces and whatnot. She seemed surprised that I have fish sauce at home, but was interested in the brand they carried in the restaurant. She packed all the different sauces up for me in individual containers so I'd have everything I could want with my pho. Super friendly. She explained she was giving her mom the day off, but her mom is the one who is usually there. Bonus: she says they're open on Sundays! When I got home and started getting my pho prepared, I was pleased with the portion size. I didn't get the large, just regular and it was perfect. I was full afterwards. Was definitely surprised at the amazing flavor of the broth and understood why she wanted me to try it first before adding any spice to it. One of the better broth bases I've had. I will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu. Hopefully, I'll have time to stay and eat in the restaurant and enjoy it's little atmosphere. It is clean and inviting. My family and I adore this place not only for their pho but their combination pad thai. We frequent this place a lot and the woman who is always there greets us and remembers our order. Their pho broth is very clean and comes with a lot of meat and noodles. They're not stingy on the bean sprouts, leaves, or jalapeño. My husband dislikes this place because their bun bo hue doesn't have the pigs blood in it but he comes for their pad thai lol. Their bubble tea is pretty standard but hits the spot. I LOVE this restaurant! I've been here three times already and it is my favorite go-to option now for Vietnamese or even curing my Chinese hankering as they have the best egg rolls I've ever had. Their spring rolls are also delicious, and my favorite of their kind as well and I've been to a LOT of Vietnamese restaurants all over the country since its my favorite type of food to get when I go out to eat. Their pho (pronounced FUH by the way. I just learned this recently.) is never a disappointment- even the veggie one is not lacking in flavor. The other dishes I've tried were ones ordered by others I went with so I'm not sure what they actually are called but each time I wanted to eat their plates as well. Haha. I would recommend this place to ANYONE. Family, friends, strangers- of recommend it for going out with coworkers or a first date. Really, the food is that good. They stole the rating off the old restaurant and then changed the name since it is a new restaurant. We ordered carry out and was told 15-20 minutes. 45 minutes later we got our food. We saw most of food sitting in a box for over 30 minutes. To top it...The meat in the pho was not even cooked. And before you message me that the meat is supposed to be raw, YOU ARE WRONG. The broth is supposed to cook the meat. We got home and then had to cook the food on the stove top because the broth was room temp. We then had to add our own additional meat because there was hardly any in it. The pad Thai smells like heated up Alpo dog food. My husband and I have been going here over the past year and a half. For him- he likes what he gets every time (chicken or pork sandwich and fried rice) Me on the other hand, it's extremely hit or miss. I am vegan and use to get the veggie pho with veggie broth (you have to ask for veg broth!) after the last time when they forgot and gave me beef broth, I stopped getting it. I also stopped getting the vegetable fried rice because it was different every time I would order it. My other go to was the char broiled tofu and mushroom vermicelli bowl. **if you want it vegan you must request no fish sauce** If you get it in store it's delicious and there's ALOT of food, however getting it to-go is different. Mine tonight was to go. It's more noodles than tofu/mushrooms, it's not even mixed together like normal, and they usually use shiitake mushrooms (this time was white mushrooms). So I haven't tried their food yet, I just got a bubble tea. First of all I ordered a regular strawberry but she gave me the fresh one. After I already waited 10 minutes for the wrong one, I didn't want to say anything and have to wait even longer. I am handed my wrong bubble tea, which is HOT at the bottom where the tapioca is, but cold on top with the strawberry tea. It was literally so hot on the bottom that the cup was melting. I don't know what they did but I've been drinking bubble tea from various locations for almost 10 years and never had hot tapioca or melting cups. I really like there Banh Mi Heo and order from there at least once every couple of weeks for a friend and I for lunch on the way to work. When I discovered this place while killing time I was pleased with the Beef Riblets I ordered. Presentation, price, quantity and quality of taste were A+ to me. Their pho isn't to bad either, filling and had a good balance of broth, noodles and meat where some places are stingy with the meat and compensate with more noodle which in my opinion leaves me feeling cheated. Recently I tried their Avocado Bubble Tea which is freshly made, it was absolutely delicious I had it with coconut jelly which completely complimented it and made it really enjoyable to drink. I enjoy eating pho for many years and been to many different restaurants. iPho has somewhat unique rich flavors for their soups and suits perfectly with their house special menu. I would have given this restaurant 5 stars if it were not for the constant American Football on the large flat screen TV. I think the owner loves football, and he sits there watching it at full volume while his customers eat. Might I suggest, they switch the TV over to some relaxing Asian videos appropriate to a Vietnamese pho restaurant. I eat here because the food is fresh and tasty, and the prices are good. But the experience is negatively impacted by the constant football on the TV. Perhaps the owner could move into a back room and watch football there. read more
