The food is always great here but we had a private room due to the size group we brought for Saturday afternoon late lunch. The service was super slow and we had to ask for things multiple times as they only had one young lady helping us. She did a great job considering I just wish she had asked for more help to accommodate us or that managers came around to check a little. They came through in beginning and helped with table set up but no one else ever helped except to deliver the pizzas which by the way were delicious. Not my first time coming here-great place if you're in downtown Suwanee and craving pizza! But tonight's experience was one that for sure will make me not come back for a while. Our waitress Aubrey seemed to be in her own world today--greeting the table chuckling about something funny that happened before she greeted us! We started off with the Calamari which were crispy and served with a warm marinara and can't forget the delicious garlic knots that were a pillow of garlic and Parmesan-- our waitress looked annoyed that we weren't ready to order right away because we wanted to take our time and enjoy our night out after working all week--mid way through app we finally decided to order and after that Audrey was no longer to be found--we had to ask the waitress in the section next to us for refills and the food runner for clean plates for our pizza--which came out delicious but my the way--pizza was perfectly sauced and cooked perfectly! But we were never checked on my our waitress if we needed anything left a sour taste in our mouths--I understand if she was running around attending other tables--but instead she was hiding in the kitchen never in reach-- our plates and cups piled up-cleaned up by the busboy and the waitress that brought us our replies was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed--Audrey finally was seen again when she was sat another table in her section but never bother to look our way to see if we needed anything as she attended her new table--we sat there for a solid 15 minutes after we finished eating waiting to get her attention and our check! Apparently she missed her server training or was never properly taught how to take care of a table--serving is the art of enhancing a dinner experience which she did not do! Service like this tarnishes the restaurant and leaves one not wanting to go back! Shout out to the kitchen for cooking the pizza beautifully and go the busboy and waitress that helped us out. If it wasn't for them I would probably will still be waiting for a refill! Prompt seating and service, very fresh warm bread with a sheen of butter and parmesan / garlic topping. Bread has a thin outer crust and warm soft center, slightly sourdough-ish. Food came out quickly, hot and fresh. Friends got the Traditional Pizza, they offered 3 stars. They said the dough wasn't up to par and wasn't exciting. I had the lasagna and a side salad. The lasagna pooled water in the dish base which leads me to believe it's frozen but not sure. Flavor was fine and was fully cooked so no complaints. All in all we'd rank Ippolito's between an Olive Garden and a Maggiano's for chain fair. If you're really craving good Italian I would suggest Maggiano's. Went with my family tonight and had the worst service I've had at any restaurant. We were there 20 minutes before getting a drink order. Another 25 to receive drinks and order dinner. We didn't receive our dinner until 1 hour 40 min. The salad was nothing more than bag salad from the grocery with two small cherry tomatoes and a sprinkle of cheese. For $5 side salad I expected something more. We constantly had to ask the waiter multiple times for the same item before we would receive it. At the 2 hour mark we asked to speak to a manager regarding the service. At 2 hour 30 minutes we were brought the check and again asked to see the manager. 2 hour 45 minutes the manager came over and with an attitude and told us the payment system is down and she would need our credit card number, name, phone number and address. This is NOT safe and should not have been asked for. Information about the payment system should be made known to customers ASAP. When we started to explain the issues we had, the manager called us rude, called my mom a bitch and said karma is a bitch on the way out. If I could give 0 stars I would. To start off with we walked in and we're immediately seated. The server came in and be ordered a bottle of wine, which took 45 minutes and then she came back and said the wine glasses are being washed. I ordered a separate glass of wine and it came wood stains on the glass. Server was nowhere to be seen so I had to get up and walk to the bar where the bartender said she would change that. Not to mention the bread came in an hour later. The food we ordered came another 45 minutes later oh, so overall it was very disappointing we had to wait that long for our drinks, food and the server's attention. By the time this place got less busy the server was more attentive towards us but we already had it bad taste in our mouth. The food came out extremely bland and soggy; the Gabriella salmon was almost floating in liquids; the veil was soggy and looked like puke On one hand the meat ball was very bland, and on the other hand the ippo pizza was salted to the point where it was inedible. A decent, if underwhelming, Italian restaurant in Suwanee Town Center. On a recent visit, my family shared dishes of Eggplant Parmigiana, Chicken Parm and Vodka Ravioli. The parmigiana dishes were tasty, but the ravioli was very disappointing -- the sauce was watery and lacking in flavor, and the ravioli itself soggy and limp. Service was excellent, and the beer and wine selection was OK, although I would've appreciated more than just a couple local craft brews on tap. I've visited other Ippolito's restaurants in Sandy Springs and Roswell, and had much better experiences that the one I had in Suwanee. It seems like this location needs to step up its game so it can better represent this usually excellent Atlanta-area chain. read more

Overall the food isn't anything particularly stellar, but some entrees do stand out. * Garlic Knots- These come free before your meal. Similar in consistency to Olive Garden's breadsticks. Not much of a garlic flavor. They were only okay. * Chicken & Shrimp Cavatelli- $12.95. Cavatelli with grilled chicken, shrimp, broccoli, olive oil, garlic, and parsley. LOVED this, it was sooo flavorful! Everything in it was tasty, even the broccoli?! I can see myself coming back just for this dish. Mmmm! * Chicken Vodka- $11.95. Rigatoni in a vodka cream sauce with grilled chicken & Italian sausage. The sliced sausage in it had a lot of flavor, but overall this dish was lacking in flavor in comparison to the Chicken & Shrimp Cavatelli. I didn't love it. read more

We stopped and dined at this location on a busy Thursday evening. The service was mediocre, at best, which resulted in a 14% tip. Yes, servers around the world just lost it, but I am not going to tip 18-25% for crappy service. The bread rolls were stale. This was a preview of the food to come. Their house salad was clearly cut and stored the day prior; the tomatoes and single half-ring of onion were wilted. I wasn't even asked for a dressing choice--I usually omit and just use lemon juice. It's seriously hard to muck-up a salad but this place managed to do it. The white pizza was okay after you removed the sun-dried tomatoes; I believe the tomatoes came from a can. Yuck. The eggplant parmigiana made you want to run to Olive Garden because it was so bad. And, believe you me, running to Olive Garden isn't something I'd ever do. I placed an order over the phone an hour in advance of when I wanted to pick it up. When I arrived to the bar to pick it up, I was delightfully greeted by Val who led me to the dessert display. At first, I was confused when she asked me to pick out a dessert of my choice. I was not upset or disgruntled in any way as I thought picking out a free dessert is something restaurants do when something is wrong or when a customer is upset. She explained that she felt bad because of some confusion in the kitchen and that my food was waiting for me for some time at the bar because of it. However, my food, Eggplant Parm was still warm when I picked it up and delicious. The Oreo cheesecake was a nice addition too. I am currently so full from the large portions. If you think this is the same service and food as Ipps, you're wrong. Meatball appetizer had very little sauce and was served with a previously frozen breadstick vs the focaccia it listed in the menu. The house dressing is not the same and the Pepe was smaller and not worth the price. The rolls were barely cooked and we were given a tiny condiment container of sauce vs the normal larger dish. The chicken parm didn't taste fresh at all, the manicotti again had barely any sauce, and the chicken in the pasta just tasted like Perdue ready made strips. The atmosphere felt more like an American bar instead of a family Italian restaurant. Even with this location being closer than Ipps, I'll never return to any Ippolito's. OMG, this is definitely a MUST GO restaurant. I've not tried other outlets. But at this outlet, ask for Daniel. He's the best server I've ever met. My friends and I all agree. We sat outside with Simba & my couple friend's dog Speedy. And Daniel was not only attentive to us 4, he was super attentive to the dogs. He brought them ice cold water total 5 times. Have frequented this location for awhile now. This time warranted a review. First of all, service was great. No issues there, server was attention and respectful although wasn't very busy. Food though was subpar. Bread rolls - hard and oily. Bread rolls here used to be mouthwatering, now it's watering just to get it edible. Bruschetta - Really sweet, who would of thought balsamic vinegar could taste like caramel. Crouton the medley was on was extra hard and tasted a hint of staleness like I left out some cheezits. Caesar Salad - man disappointing. Really wet and too bad we got the bottom of the salad bag/bin. And powdered Parmesan cheese. Yeah that ruined it. Shrimp Scampi - incredibly bland. I was surprised I got a hint of lemon at the end. Spent most of my meal seasoning it. Salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese(yes powdered cheese again) just to get some kind of flavor in my meal. Menu says shrimp is sautéed but pretty sure they were boiled. Anyway for a $20 plate...tsk tsk. Linguine Broccoli - too much olive oil. Wife's mouth was glistening in this dim restaurant. Got a good laugh out of it though. For a plate with light preparation it was anything but light. Probably will second guess this choice next time. $45 meal, probably better spending $25 and experimenting at home. My husband and I were celebrating our 35th anniversary tonight and decided to go here! It's been a while since we had been with the COVID pandemic. I am sad to say that the food was not as I remembered it to be. I ordered the Chicken Francese. It usually comes in a light lemon white wine sauce but this time the pasta was swimming in a thick yellow sauce that looked like undiluted chicken stock and it was awful! My husband ordered the broccoli linguine which tasted good but was served cold (not even room temperature). The food was very disappointing and they are very understaffed! Hope they will get the food back to the way it used to be, until then we won't be back! read more

We walked in at 7:30 on a Friday evening and the host told us there was an hour wait but the kitchen would be closed by then. So we walked around and came back to our car and saw they were seating people. We went back in and was seated immediately. T took 10 minutes to get our water. And no rolls were given to us until I asked for them. The server brought out 2!rolls. Normally we are given 4. Also, there was no marinara sauce with it. My chicken Marsala was a very skimpy portion of pasta and one small piece of chicken. The service is slow and uncaring. read more

I've known about Ippolito's for, hmm, I guess around 20 years now. I recall trying to go to their (original?) location near Roswell in the mid-90s but it was consistently a lengthy wait so we never actually dined there. About 5 years later they had opened another location near what is now Johns Creek. It was more convenient and not insanely crowded, so I was able to eat there occasionally for lunch or dinner. Over the last 10 years, we moved and ended up having an Ippolito's even closer to us, but given the alternate Italian restaurant choices that we were already used to, we rarely ate at Ippolito's (maybe once a year, if that). Over the last couple of years some of the Italian restaurants we'd had on our dine-out rotation either closed or seemed to change their menus, and not for the better. That plus the convenience factor have added Ippolito's to our current roster. We probably eat there every other month at least now. My daughter and I are partial to the create-your-own-pasta menus. It's nice to tailor your dish to whatever you are craving that night. Their meatballs are large and tasty. I occasionally get a pizza instead, which provides leftovers for another couple of meals later. My wife gets a variety of pasta dishes also. Their salads are good, and the complimentary rolls (drizzled with cheese and garlic and served with melted butter in the dish) are memorable. The two main appetizers we've tried, calamari and fried zucchini, are both fine (though I still miss the fried zucchini from the Vortex). They have a decent wine list as well. Service is generally attentive. Prices aren't cheap, but aren't a bad value given the quality of the meal. read more

I have been to Ipp's many times in the past. I am not sure if the ownership has changed or if it was just a bad day, but our lunch today was pretty disappointing. The rolls were not very fresh or even warm. My Stromboli was very small compared to other times I have ordered it. Not really worth the $13. There were very few desserts available and our slice of coconut pie was also much smaller than previously experienced. Not sure if they are trying to be healthier or what, but a $7 slice of pie should be at least a nice sized portion. The others in the party seemed more satisfied than me. Maybe it was me or just a bad day. The service was adequate but not memorable. It was a little weird to just leave a water pitcher on the table to do self-service refills, but I guess that is fine. read more

First of all I would like to say that I love Ippolito's and have been going to the Alpharetta location for many years. I went to the Suwanee location for lunch and all I have to say is it did not live up to standards. The rolls were had as rock, as if they reheated them from the day before. I bragged to the friend with me how the rolls were the best in the city, only to be brought day old hard rolls with no taste. The entrees were ok but again not up to Illpolito's standard. Please do some quality review at this location (Suwanee) and get it back to the Ippolito's standard we all love. read more

We've been here so many times over the years when we are in town visiting family. It's always yummy. I'm compelled to post a review because of how gracious and welcoming they were when we showed up with 5 minutes until the kitchen closed. We put in 3 "to go" orders and our own orders to eat in, and we were met with nothing but hospitality. It was when we asked for the bill that I mentioned that they really made my birthday.
