BEST Sushi in town!!!! Service is super friendly and the ambiance is like your dining at a friend's house. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Smaller restaurant but very cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Always look at the specials board. We've never been disappointed. And the best 2 rolls to always get are the HB roll and the Ghost roll. We tried the no 9 this time and it was very good as well. If we're 4 people, I will get all three. The salmon, tuna, etc sushi are all really good. Large pieces of fresh fish in smaller amount of rice. Honestly, everything we've ever had here is BETTER than anywhere else!

Number ONE sushi spot in HB. Everything is fantastic. Fresh qualitY and unique flavors. In terms of nigiri the TUNA SPECIAL with their house sauce and avocado is delicious ( I am also not usually a tuna person but this is an exception). The salmon was also very fresh can't go wrong always a must for me. For rolls the off menu HUNTINGTON BEACH ROLL is a must and the GHOST ROLL was also delicious. I have never had such a great balance of fresh fish light rice and sauce which I usually prefer not to have but at this place it's worth getting everything as it comes no questions asked. Everything is so tasteful intentional and balanced. Also the GREEN TEA is thicker than most and washes down the meal perfectly with unlimited refills. A small detail but they have PINK GINGER which I love. New FAVORITE local spot an absolute must try! Service was very fast and ATTENTIVE and spaced out the order perfectly. It is a small spot with limited hours so be prepared for a wait.

Yum! I'm a skeptical sushi eater, it's a texture thing, but I have found another spot I will return to. Small, local, family feel environment, but the flavors are amazing! Service was a team effort and executed well. We got the following rolls: Nancy, Next Time & Ghost. Worth the wait!

I highly recommend the Cajun tuna app that was the highlight of the entire meal. Waitress was lovely. Food came out quick. Me and my boyfriend went in sweats so you don't need to dress up. I recommend getting their sashimi. Quality of fish was excellent

My husband and I just moved to the area and have been looking for a sushi spot and heard the locals love this place. We waited about 10 minutes for a table to open up and were seated. We ordered right away and the dishes came out fairly quickly. The fish is very fresh and tasty which exceeded my expectations. This will now be our go to sushi spot!

The hype is real. One of my mom friends recommended this place and I'm so glad she did. What makes this place truly special are the quality cuts of fish and their unique sauces that I've never had with any other sushi restaurant. I ordered my food to go, which unfortunately did take over 30 minutes to prepare, but it was worth the wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Me inside of the restaurant is small. I can only accommodate for 10 tables and a sushi bar and this restaurant is located in a shopping center tucked behind Bagelmania.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cost is extremely reasonable and for what you get it's well worth it.

Everything on the menu is delicious. I love the ichiban roll, it's spicy and yummy and so tender it melts in your mouth. Sit at the bar, they're so much nicer than the waiters! They make you feel at home

My boyfriend and I love this place! Please expect a wait as the area is small and cozy. We waited for an hour to an hour and a half when we got there around 5:10pm. We ordered the spicy edamame, two orders of the mixed sashimi, an order of the tuna special, two orders of the bluefin tuna, a fatboy roll, and a huntington beach roll. We are big sashimi people so this definitely hit the spot. The spicy edamame was a great appetizer - it wasn't too spicy or salty. The Fatboy roll had a citrus hit which my boyfriend liked. I preferred the HB roll. Everything was super fresh and yummy! I'm glad to have a great sushi place nearby. The service was great and attentive as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Next time I would ask to sit away from the door and from the takeout area as these areas get crowded quickly and constantly. I was quite bothered due to these pickup orders.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

When in the area. This is my favorite stop for sushi for past 20 years. The sushi does not disappoint. Everyone who works there are very friendly and helpful. Small place but rarely do you need to wait long. Just avoid common periods.

Tuna siding was soft and not chewy. The HB Roll was amazingggg! A little on the spicier side. All these rolls are wrapped in soy paper (but can ask for seaweed instead) and the truly melt in your mouth. Some people may say they're drenched in sauce but I think that's what makes this sushi place unique, especially bc the fish is still high quality. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small and cute place with great, friendly service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

A little bit of a wait, but well worth it. Came here based on recommendations and glad we did.

Next time roll, Huntington Beach roll
    Nachelle M.

Definitely coming back to eat inside. Huntington roll: a lot of fish! Good quality fish. Fish was buttery and didn't smell weird or have any fishy taste. I preferred this one. Next time roll: good for people who aren't the biggest fan of fish. It has imitation crab and shrimp tempura inside. Outside is fresh salmon and cucumber. At 5pm, there's already a long line outside. Be prepared to wait. Take out order was fast.

Started with the Hamachi Crudo - fresh hamachi with aguachile, avocado, cucumber, serrano, and macerated strawberries. The Momonoki Chicken Wings followed with a crispy 12-hour brined chicken glazed in caramel fish sauce, Thai chili, and scallions. Sweet, savory, crispy... these disappeared quickly. The Dashi Pesto came with pan-seared Hokkaido scallops, dashi-infused pesto, blistered cherry tomatoes, and Parmesan. Then came the Gochujang Pork Belly over mashed potatoes with mozzarella and scallions. The pork belly was tender and flavorful, but those mashed potatoes deserve their own review. Seriously, the softest and creamiest mashed potatoes ever. Ever. Finished the savory side with the Miso Bacon Carbonara - creamy miso-Calabrian chili carbonara with crispy bacon, Parmesan, and scallions. Rich, comforting, and another dish worth coming back for. Dessert brought strawberry lychee ice cream and sesame creme brulee. Both were pleasant, although the savory dishes were definitely stars of the evening. Signed up for an event and left with a list of reasons to come back. Momonoki understood the assignment and those mashed potatoes the extra credit. Shoutout to the cool and amazing staff!

I called a day before to request that we be seated at the bar and the hostess was super friendly and communicative. When we arrived the restaurant was very bright and well decorated. Despite being a nicer restaurant it didn't feel stuffy, so it felt like we could really enjoy ourselves without needing to be hoity-toity. The sushi chef was very personable and every bite I had was delicious. He asks you ahead of time if you like wasabi, which I do so I loved everyrhing. The quality and texture of the fish is incomparable to anything I can get at "regular" sushi restaurants. The carpaccio to start off with was bright with yuzu flavor and the chawanmushi was so creamy. My only complain is that I wish there were more of the dishes as I left still hungry, but that may have been in part due to me having not eaten breakfast. From the moment mine companions and I crossed the threshold, we were greeted with warmth and cheer, as though we were cherished guests returning home from a long and weary journey. Upon our departure, the farewells were equally heartfelt, leaving us with the feeling that we had dined not amongst strangers, but amongst dear friends. The atmosphere within was calm and comforting, familiar in a way that soothed the soul. In a world filled with noisy feasting halls and chaotic marketplaces, this establishment stood as a peaceful sanctuary where one might rest and enjoy a most noble meal. The serving folk were nothing short of extraordinary. Attentive without hovering, quick of wit, and brimming with personality, they carried themselves with the sort of genuine hospitality that cannot be taught by any guild or academy. Every interaction felt sincere and full of heart. Now, let us speak of the pan-fried gyoza, for I fear words alone may fail to capture its greatness. These glorious parcels arrived golden and crisp upon the outside, yet tender and delicate within. Each bite tasted as though it had been crafted by hand moments before reaching the table. Were I granted a chest of gold, I would gladly spend it all upon another plate. And lo! The White Peach Seltzer. Good people, I have sampled beverages from many corners of the kingdom, from noble feasts to humble roadside inns, and never in my years have I encountered a seltzer so divine. It was refreshing beyond measure, kissed with the perfect essence of white peach. Had a celestial spring existed in the heavens themselves, I imagine it would taste much the same. Perhaps most admirable of all was the story behind this fine establishment. The keepers spoke of their history and journey with such authenticity and pride that one could not help but feel invested in their success. Nothing felt rehearsed or hollow; their passion was as real as the food upon the table. I departed with a full belly, a joyful heart, and a solemn vow to return many times henceforth. This shall become one of my regular gathering places, and I shall recommend it to all wandering souls seeking comfort, hospitality, and a feast worthy of legend. Five stars. Five crowns. Five royal decrees of approval. "Should destiny guide thee to this ramen house, enter without hesitation. Thy taste buds shall sing songs of victory long after the meal is done."

[Missing noodles, expensive ramen, bad customer service, and no reason to come back.]…read more I visited this restaurant to place a to-go order and picked up my food during a late lunch around 1:40 p.m. I ordered two items, including a bowl of tonkotsu ramen. When I got back to work in Santa Ana and opened my bag around 2:30 p.m., my ramen had NO NOODLES. It was literally just broth and toppings. I called the restaurant expecting a simple apology and a reasonable solution. Instead, the manager would not even speak to me directly and chose to communicate through a waiter the entire time, which made the situation even more frustrating. We went back and forth multiple times with the waiter acting as the middleman. First, they told me I could come back and pick up the missing noodles. That was not realistic. I was already back at work, and it takes me about 25 minutes to get from Fountain Valley to Santa Ana. Driving all the way back for a side of noodles made no sense. So I asked for what seemed like the easiest and most reasonable solution: a complimentary bowl of ramen on my next visit. Instead, I was told no, but they could give me "extra noodles" next time. Extra noodles next time? What exactly was that supposed to do for me when I was sitting there hungry with no actual ramen to eat that day? Then the manager, again through the waiter, said she would personally drive noodles to my job. I even told them that did not make sense because by the time she got there, it would be around 4:30 p.m. At that point, my lunch break would be long over, the ramen would be cold, and all of it would be a waste of my time, her time, restaurant resources, and gas. But I agreed, because at that point it was obvious they really did not want to simply offer me a free bowl of ramen on my next visit. And to be clear, I was not asking for some huge free meal. I was asking to be compensated for the ramen I already paid good money for and did not even receive correctly. For how expensive ramen is, that should not have been a difficult ask. About 10 minutes later, the waiter called back and said the manager would give me a free bowl of ramen next time I came in, which was the exact solution I had suggested from the start. I can only assume she realized how far the drive was and how unnecessary and impractical that solution would have been. Mistakes happen. Forgetting the noodles was one thing. But the way this was handled was unnecessarily difficult, inconvenient, and honestly kind of absurd. I did not ask for a refund. I was looking for an apology and some common-sense customer service. Instead, I got a lot of back-and-forth and a manager who would not even speak to me directly. Kudos to the waiter for doing their best to mediate the situation. Even they thought the situation could of been handled differently by the manager. Very disappointing experience. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to others based on how this situation was handled.
