This place will always be busy/active due to its location. It's right on the most populous street of Huntington Beach. While the vibes are great, the fish quality...not so great. I have high expectations when coming to a sushi restaurant that is located so close to the ocean, so Sushi on Fire disappointed me a little bit. The Yellowtail Supreme tasted bland & stiff, as if it had been sitting out all day. In fact, none of the raw fish items we ordered had that ~fresh~ taste to them. The star of the show was actually the Crab Cheese Wontons. They are served fresh & hot with crab and cream cheese filling. On the side is a sweet&sour sauce that paired very well. Absolutely will never come back. Worst food poisoning of my life. My wife my 2 year old and I have been throwing up and having it come out of both ends for 2 days straight. We have both missed 2 days of work due to this. We have woken up to our 2 year old covered in throw up both nights since eating here. The day we ate here my wife and I both worked and never shared a meal with eachother or our child. We ate here with a group of other people, however only the 3 of us had miso soup. I had to rush to get home because it hit me that quick. I was up till 4 am throwing up and shitting my brains out. My pregnant wife threw up twice that night and 3 times at work the next day and ultimately had to leave early. Each morning we have woken up to our 2 year old completely covered in throw up. If you come at a right time the ambiance is very relaxed with great beach weather, and fast service!! I can't believe I haven't left a review for this place before. We come here at least 2-3 times a week. The service is phenomenal. They definitely know our order now so we barely have to say a word before they repeat it back to us. They always have some kind of sporting show on the TVs and the large window/door is always open so you get the beautiful ocean breeze throughout your stay. Animal, Action, 3 Amigos, Pink Lady, Girl on the Beach, Station 42, Rainbow, Four Corners, Lobster, Spicy Edamame, No Name Salad, DK, Beach Boy, 911, Magic Mountain(if you like stir fry's), and Refreshing are my favorite dishes. If you go and there is a long line, order take out and head next door to the wine bar and have some wine and eat your sushi. We stopped by Sushi On Fire in Huntington Beach for lunch and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and some of the best rolls we've had in a long time. We ordered several different items including a Jalapeño Roll, a Seared Albacore Roll, Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, and a tuna sashimi style plate, and everything was fantastic. The flavors were incredible and you can tell they really know what they're doing with their sauces and preparation. Every roll had its own unique taste and was perfectly balanced. The wait staff was outstanding friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. One of the coolest parts is that their patio is dog-friendly, so we were able to bring our Pomeranian with us to lunch, which made the day even more enjoyable.
