Food was above average. However no mushrooms to put on burger is a big flaw for a burger joint. Hot lemon pepper wings were a winner.

My wife and I ate here after a workout across the street. Due to Covid we were looking for a nice patio for a beer and some lunch. Irby's delivered. I had a burger and it was fine. Nothing amazing. Can't recall but my wife had, but she was satisfied. Our server was nice and attentive. The patio is spacious, covered, and good airflow with plenty of ceiling fans. They even offered to adjust the fan speed if we wanted. Nice people. Nice place. Nothing amazing from a food perspective. My food was good like good bar food but nothing crazy different. We got the Philly cheese steak (warning : a lot of nacho cheese is on this, so maybe ask for it without ) and the chicken tenders, both with French Fries. They were both yummy. Our first time in the area, we were looking for somewhere casual and comfortable, we were very happy to find Irby's. Our bartender, Caroline, was friendly and made excellent cocktails. We didn't try the food, because we had a late lunch, but it looked good from what we saw. Thought I'd love it man!! Drove 35 min to get here. I hardly ever write reviews but had to make sure a member of management or owner/shareholder sees this. Got here around 10:30pm to watch the fight. There was no host at the door. We waited about 5-10min to be greeted. PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE BY ENTRANCE OR SET UP A CHIME. The server was cute, polite and nice. Immediately we are told menu is limited to about 4 items. That was fine. We understood. Got seated, tried to order some drinks on the menu, but they were not available. Essentially, she said menu isn't quite accurate. We couldn't get what we wanted. While I understand limited menu at night, which may not be on menu, drinks on the menu should be available. PLEASE UPDATE THE MENU. This is the minimum expectation. We had to settle for something we didn't quite want. It's 46 degrees outside, they had a ceiling fan going at maximum speed. Everyone had to put their jackets back on. Informed first server. Nothing was done about it. Our food couldn't stay warm cuz of that. Had to hurry up and eat. Second server finally turned it off 1h later. Food was done. Couldn't post video for some reason, your you can see in pic that fan was in rapid motion. PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF THE WEATHER WHEN YOU TURN YOUR CEILING FANS ON. Lastly, the food and drinks. We got frozen Piña colada. Couldn't drink it for the first 10-15 min cuz it couldn't get through the tiny plastic straws. PLEASE SERVE FROZEN DRINKS WITH LARGER STRAWS. The tenders and French fries were tenders and French fries. Well cooked, but basic. Not flavorful. Needed the dips. Needless to say this isn't a place I would think about inviting friends to anymore. This place definitely surprised me with their menu choices. Classic selections with a special twist. Good service. Plenty of space and TVs to watch whatever game is playing that day. All around good place. A few friends and I stopped by Sunday afternoon. We wanted a casual Sunday meal in a casual setting. We figured a bar was our best choice. It wasn't packed. Parking was okay. It would've been hard to maneuver the parking lot if it was a big game day. Traffic in the area isn't bad. It's off the main road so mainly cut through traffic. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The bar is large so great for a group of friends. I ordered the corn dog bites & brussel sprouts. The corn dog bites have sausages in them instead of the traditional hotdog meat. & it is served with pepper jelly and mustard. Super good flavor combination. The brussel sprouts are coated in a sauce which gives them a semi sweet taste & a smooth finish. My friend ordered the basil & arugula chicken & waffles - SO GOOD. It was served with a Thai style syrup. I was skeptical at first but I definitely will be back for that. My last friend got mild wings and fries. The mild smelled hot but he said they were really good. We wanted an order of the doughnut bites but they weren't able to make them, but I will be back for them. All in all I'm giving this place 5 stars. I hope return when it's busier for football season to see how the atmosphere is. read more

I tried Irby's Tavern the other night after hearing great things about it from friends. It completely lived up to the hype! It has a great patio, and the decor is really inviting. Atlanta sports fans will really love this place, but even if sports aren't your thing, come for the food - it's worth it! This is not your typical bar food. The staff and owners were super welcoming and attentive. I asked for advice on what to order, but the Shrimp and Grit Cake with Wild Mushrooms immediately stood out to me, and our waiter confirmed that it was pretty amazing. It definitely was. The mushrooms were an unexpected twist to the classic shrimp and grits, and it worked. The grits were in a cake form, instead of classic "soupy" grits, and I liked them way better this way. There's so much on the menu I look forward to trying. They have an awesome patio, although I didn't sit there on this visit. I will definitely come back with friends to enjoy it. read more

Great location, not much parking though so plan ahead before visiting. I love the atmosphere inside Irbys, they have a ton of TVs for game days and trivia night (Wednesdays) is always a good time. This is our favorite neighborhood bar and we are sad the doors have temporarily closed due to this virus but we are patiently waiting until this all passes over so we can be back at our watering hole with our favorite bartender, Ally. Irby's is a great spot to watch games or to just grab a beer after a long day. I've only had a bad experience at Irby's when Ally's not working. She always knows my beer and is able to take care of the entire bar area without missing a beat. If she were to ever leave, my friends and I agree, we might have to find a new spot. read more

This is my first 5 star review I have ever given to a restaurant that doesn't even serve mozzi sticks (update, they now have mozzi stix and they are FANTASTIC. I give them a 9.2 and put them in the top 10 in Atlanta). The Jagër was a perfect luke warm and the wings were some of the best around! Please do not even get me started on the bleu cheese. Ridiculous experience. Ordered an Orpheus from the server, she returned to say they're out. Ordered a Terrapin, she returned to say they're out. OK water it is. Ordered a cheesesteak which comes with a choice of classic side. Mac and cheese is listed as a classic so I order it. I get upcharged $2.50 for it. But but but, the cheesesteak is the story here. Actually, a cheese roll is a more appropriate name. It was a roll with cheese, onions, and peppers with a few little pieces of steak here and there. You can eat half the sandwich in 2 bites because you aren't chewing anything except bread. A complete abomination. I hope at least the cook had a good laugh sending that out. read more

Living next to Irby's is great. I truly think it's the best sport bar and has the best food for a bar ! Finally made it to brunch here and it was awesome. Craving chicken tenders and Buffalo sauce tonight and this place had good reviews so I gave it a shot. Loaded tots were REALLY good, but the chicken tenders were tossed in BBQ when I ordered Buffalo. Chicken was really crispy and juicy (ordered delivery, so crispy when sauced is a huge plus). Saw on delivery there were two options for sauces, requested Bleu Cheese and Bulldawg (had never heard of it and was curious to try). Only got Bleu Cheese and I guess the sour cream for the loaded tots. Bummer. I'll try it dine in, since whoever was packaging to go food tonight didn't seem interested in checking the order before it was packaged. read more

I wanted to like Irby's, really, but does Buckhead need another loud sports bar with mediocre food? Well, no. The service is earnest and the beer selection is impressive, but the nearby parking is very limited. The nachos appetizer had a disappointing Velveeta-ish cheese, but they were topped with spicy ground beef and sliced jalapeños and so they did have adequate heat. The white bean hummus was different and interesting, but the pita-like chips were greasy, chewy, and inedible. The entrees were alright - chicken sandwich, pan-fried salmon, shrimp and grits - although pretty basic fare. I can live with loud music during dinner but not bad rock music. There are better gastropubs in Atlanta. read more
