We came here last night using our Atlanta Passbook (buy one entree, get one free). Upon walking in, it seemed just like a straight up bar rather than a restaurant. We came at about 8 pm on a Friday, so I totally get it, but we were just surprised. Super loud talking and music and it seemed like a place big groups come to hang out which is fine, just beware. The service was pretty good and the food came out fast, but the food was just mediocre. We ordered the mozzarella sticks which just tasted like they were frozen and heated up. For my entree, I got the grilled chicken sandwich (which was pretty dry and not hot, more like room temperature). I also got the Mac and cheese which was hot and cheesy, but very oily. My boyfriend got the wings and fries and he said they were pretty good but not life-changing. Overall, a cool place to get bar food, but we most likely will not be back. read more

I'm not sure why I keep giving this place chances. I've been there probably 5 times, and 4 out of 5 have been the worst service. It's like they always have one server working the whole restaurant. We just sat there for 10 minutes and never had anyone come over to give us water, all while looking at each other and saying "why do we ever think it'll be different"? Almost everything we have had here has been good. The only thing I had that I wasn't impressed with was the impossible burger and pretzel. The chicken jimbo and the cheese steak sandwich was great. The cheese steak comes with queso on it which takes it up another level. The wings were good here. Each time we come we get it. Our favorite is the lemon pepper but the bulldawg (house sauce) is good as well. We've come here a few times and service is hit or miss. Very disappointing experience at Irby's. We ordered 2 beers, and the beers took around 15 minutes to come out, and were warm when they did. We placed an order for an appetizer and the cheese on the spinach dip was congealed from having sat our from the time of preparation to the time of delivery. Our meal was The Jimbo and a chicken quesadilla. Both were lukewarm when served, and again the cheese on both items was congealed. We felt very sorry for our server, it seemed as if she had the entire place to serve and was not able to attend any one spot well. read more

Beware, prices on the scan menu are apparently incorrect, the burger (small) and chicken sandwich (better than expected but also small side) were more $ when we received our bill, we didn't bother asking about the $5 difference because we couldn't get the bartenders attention and just wanted to leave. Also, asked for vodka and cranberry was served a Tito's for 10.50! Expensive for mediocre bar food. read more

Irby's is a great place to go to if you want a trendy tavern, nice atmosphere and good wings in the center of Buckhead! I went here on a Monday night near closing for wings and they were great! We tried the teriyaki wings and the hot lemon pepper and both were great! Since we were the only table in the restaurant, we had phenomenal service. This definitely is a spot that you could easily pass by in Buckhead especially since it's undergone many name changes, however once you find it you'll be sure to continue visiting! read more

Great Buckhead sports bar. Wait staff is fun and accommodating to patron requests for favorite team TV viewing. My daughter and I, huge Philadelphia Eagles fans, stopped in this afternoon for lunch and to watch the game. We sat at the bar, requested our TV. Our appetizer (hummus, veggies and pita bread) was great. Our entrees, hot wings and a burger cooked to order, were delicious. Great cocktails, too, especially Dr Doug's Margarita and the Gov't Mule. The tavern is tastefully decorated with Atlanta sports team memorabilia and the atmosphere is electric, yet not too crazy. It's not a huge bar, but attracts a good crowd. Both and outside seating are available. We made a great memory there and it certainly was a plus that the Eagles won! Highly recommend Irby's for the food, fun, drinks, and sports vibe. This place has been open for a week now and I've already been three times. There are tons of TVs so you can watch your game of preference comfortably. No craning your neck around (and inevitably cramping it) to get a glimpse in between bites of your wings. Speaking of the wings, they're fantastic. Perfect mix of succulence and crispness. My personal recommendation is the spicy teriyaki. There are a lot of other interesting looking options on the menu, but I've so far been fixated on the wings and can't give any other specific recommendations. Beyond the games and the food the staff is particularly attentive and friendly. Even when they're busy you never have to wonder where that drink you ordered is or where your server is with those extra napkins for your wing-sauced hands. Really though, don't take my word for it. Average drinks and fare. Poor service at the bar. Bar area could use more competent and consistent service. Brunette bartender is like a one eye flounder fish that only served the left side of the bar by the bathrooms but completely oblivious to the other half. I had to flag down her helper to take the drink order and make the drinks. When our food came out, it sat there for five minutes before the bartender even served it. I literally had to point at the food sitting there and ask for it to be served to us. The wings were average. Manhattan drink was below average. Service was very poor. read more

Amazing amazing amazing! From the appetizers to the burgers and the local crafted ciders. This was one of the best experiences my husband and I had. They food was amazing. The owner was so helpful and is passionate about his tavern. We went 3 months ago and we still talk about it to this day! Please give it a try when you have some free time. I would suggest you go early in the day. Seems like it can get pretty busy in the evening. The only downfall is the parking. BUT the food is absolutely worth it! read more

Irby's is located where Meehan's used to be. They did renovate the inside and it's more open and lighter inside. The food and service were disappointing. We had the fried chicken and it was bland and dry. The servers were slow and it took about 30 minutes to get our meal from the time we ordered. No interest in going back and felt like I wasted calories on the meal. read more

Love, love, love this new option in Buckhead. Service is great, dog friendly on the patio, and the food is fantastic. Had the Salmon dish last night and this is going to be a new go-to. Wanted to love this place but it wasn't a 5 Star experience our first time in. We went on a Sunday and 2 of our four burgers/sandwiches had super stale, dry bread. The other two sandwiches were fine. I got their Big Mac style burger which was really filling, the meat was good but the bun threw it all off. The fries were definitely the best part of the meal. Patio is a cool atmosphere, with all the umbrellas you can actually sit outside on a hot day which is great. However, there are too many tables and chairs strewn around everywhere so it was difficult to even walk to the far table we wanted to sit at.. had To move a few tables and chairs and then were cramped in a corner. Will order something different next time an hope to edit to 5 stars for the food. UPDATE April 2019: I've gone back a few times since my first review and now I love Irbys! Their wings are awesome which is HARD to find and can I just say that I had their burger again this week and the bread was absolutely fabulous?! I'm actually laying in bed as I write this about to order a burger to remedy this Sunday morning hangover because I'm completely craving it. Only disappointment is that they took away the irbys salad which was my fav thing on the menu (tear)..PLEASE BRING IT BACK!! But in the meantime I'm changing this review to 5 stars because this is my new fav neighborhood spot and I hope they continue taking in the feedback and delivering awesome food and experience!! We went to Irby's to watch the World Cup and couldn't have picked a better spot. I didn't realize it at the time, but they are not normally open for lunch mid-week and just opened for the games. I believe that Irby's is aiming to be ATLANTA's bar/pub and will be ground ONE for all ATL team sports!! Much needed around here as we've really missed having one place to cheer on all our awesome teams ... especially ATLANTA UNITED (and the BRAVES). Great service and food. Got the lemon pepper wings, and they hit the spot. Could've used a bit more sauce and a bit less oil, but overall solid. The nachos could use some more veggies and toppings and the fries were very oily. However, Way better than any other chain sports bar in Atlanta. Also have a good selection of local beers to choose from. I went with Wild Heaven cuz it was 8.5% and it was very good for such a high percentage beer. Wonderful little sports bar. Sitting outside on a nice day is pure bliss. It's delicious bar food that's been kicked up a notch. We started with the pimento cheese corn dog bites and the chicken and waffle sliders. The corn dog bites were four big balls of deliciousness. The chicken and waffle sliders were a Belgian waffle cut in quarters and made into two little sliders with delicious fried chicken in the middle. The warm syrup to go with them was amazing. After that we had the big mark and the grilled cheese. Both were delicious. We finished the evening with the dunkaroo donuts. Sat at the bar for a drink and had good and attentive service. Once our party arrived, there was around 13 of us, service definitely changed. It felt like every time we needed something we needed to flag down our server. I understand it's a larger party but didn't really see the waitress check in with us on drinks or even with food. A few of us went to the bar to get drinks just because we couldn't find our server. The food was pretty good but the veggie burger I ordered was messy. Would order with the sauce on the side as there was entirely too much. If you come to this restaurant, I recommend a smaller party and sit at the bar. read more
