I've been here twice, and twice my boyfriend has had awkward interactions with the bartender. Two different bartenders, actually. It wasn't anyone's fault... either time. Just one of those things that happens that you laugh and write reviews about later. This place has green lightbulbs. I've only ever seen green lightbulbs around Halloween time, but Dan assured me that green just means Irish. Fair enough. Weird lighting usually creeps me out. I don't like when normal things are changed up to be weird things. Like how the world Alice encountered through the looking glass was all topsy turvy, and everyone was flipping insane. She couldn't have a rational conversation with a single damned character in that place... and that might be my second worst nightmare outside of having to dress up like a dog and read picture books to children. None of that really reflected my experiences here, but it needed to be said somewhere. I was able to look past the green lightbulbs, and enjoy this place for what it was - a funny little dive bar. Look at me using words like "dive bar." I'm growing up. Anyhow, the bartender on our first visit was especially friendly, and was actually the reason we ended up deciding to go back. We took our bedroom bound roommate on the second trip for an after dinner beer, and had a pretty cool time. There was a band setting up and doing sound check, and there was a crowd beginning to gather... So, I mean... I have nothing else to say about that. I'm sorry if I mislead you. I have to be honest. I am giving this Pub the 5 stars for the Music! So many Pubs these days have lost sight of traditional Irish fare and fun but the Sunday evening I came in with a couple of friends we found what we were really looking for. A wonderful and acoustic Irish session! My sister had heard that Sundays were Ceili night's so, being sick of nothing but the loud Irish Rock that most Pubs try to pass off as "Irish Music" now days we decided to give it a try. Starts at 4:00PM. We were late and had trouble finding seats. It's well worth getting there early. It seems to be a blend of people from local bands and dance groups. All seem very professional and skilled. The fiddlers were phenomenal; there was a penny whistler, a squeeze box and the Bodhran player, a Woman thank you very much, was indeed awesome. There was a real heartbeat to the music that night and I've missed that in other Pubs. The dancers got anyone interested in trying a step or two in line and danced the buckles off their shoes. It's been a long time since I had this much fun and we are already planning to come back with even more friends. If you enjoy traditional Irish music, good food fairly priced, friendly service (TERRIIFC WAITRESS that night) try this Pub on Sundays. As I noted above, we discovered the Ceili starts early, 4:00PM, had we known we'd have been there at 3:30 for seats. I'm a sucker for Irish pubs. If a bar has Killian's or Smithwick's on tap, I'm instantly a fan of the place. I'm a firm believer that what you order from a bar tells a lot about your personality. This place doesn't have Bud Light or PBR on tap, that I noticed anyhow, so... you get the idea of the crowd. If you don't know what I'm talking about, that's because you're the type of person I'm trying to avoid, ha!! I digress... This place is cozy and has ample seating, both at the bar and with many tables throughout the venue. My group started our night here on a Saturday evening and was pleasantly surprised by the live music, though way too loud for any semblance of a conversation to take place, and attentive table service. In fact, our waitress was unbelievably friendly. The prices are standard for a dive bar, and apparently they have different themed nights (i.e. karaoke night, live music night, etc.). I was always curious about this bar considering I live down the street! Well I finally turned 21 this month and decided to come here on my Birthday. It was on a sunday night so it wasn't too busy.. Right off the bat I LOVED the atmosphere , very comfortable and cozy! WOW can I just say as my first time here and on a Tuesday night I had a blast. Great vibe, crowd was friendly. Ended up playing team darts for beer, won one and lost one, broke even in the end with a nice buzz going. Oh and it was karaoke night, I'm used to people 3 sheets to the wind drunk and singing off key in other karaoke places, here, these patrons have mad vocals. At one point I thought, this guy must be lip syncing, nope! Got completely crocked but had a great time! I will never underestimate this real Irish pub again, I'll be back. This was the first bar I went to when I moved out to the Los Angeles area. I'm a sucker for Irish Pub's and since this one was down the street from where I was living at the time, I decided to check it out. My first few trips there definitely left me with mixed but positive feelings about the place. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the bar and they had plenty of Smithwicks on tap. The bartender was a true Irishman and a damn good guy, made me feel right at home. I think the only thing that struck me as somewhat of a negative was the fact that I was easily the youngest person there by a good 20 years. I wish I was exaggerating, but I'd say half the clientele had a good 40 years on me. Now, granted it was late afternoon on a weekday (One of the perks of unemployment) but I was kind of hoping I wouldn't be the only one there who couldn't tell you where they were when Kennedy was assassinated. Despite that, I had a good time there that first visit. Met some cool people, got a round or two bought for me, bought a few rounds, and shared some laughs. I decided to make Ireland's 32 my local pub and was back there at least once a week if not more. I've come to find that the crowd really varies there depending on the night. Youll definitely find your 20 somethings crowd but I've definitely hung with the 60 somethings as well. On Sundays, they have the football package and are always great about putting on whatever game you want to see. The only food I've eaten is the pancake breakfast (on football Sundays, not because I'm a severe alcoholic. Although...) and it was quite good. So, I dropped by this place on a Sunday night on my way home after dropping a friend off. When I get in there is a guy performing his rendition of Whitney Houston's always love you. I'm thinking damn this is lame. And then I sit down at the bar, grab a drink and watch more performances. Dropped in one Friday night with a couple of friends. Passable local joint for a few beers and live music. The crowd is a bit older. The beer selection was okay. We ordered some food and that was edible. The band came on, crowd got excited, people started dancing. I got bedroom eyes from older men who reminded me of my pops, which was just awkward. Unfortunately, my friend picked this place cause she didn't know any better. There's nothing very Irish about it, it looks like a sports bar with neon green paraphernalia strewn everywhere. You can park on Burbank Boulevard or in the neighborhood. I probably wouldn't come back unless an apocalypse wiped out all the drinking establishments within a 100-mile radius of me, but I suppose the locals like to call it home. Ireland's 32 is a pretty decent bar. Their drinks are good, and it's absurdly casual. This bar doesn't fit into the LA scene, and I love it for just that reason. It's your Grandpa's neighborhood bar. And just FYI, their happy hour is 4PM - 6PM. I didn't see that listed anywhere here in any reviews. I haven't tried their happy hour yet. But I was planning on it tonight at 6:30PM, until I discovered that they shut it down for happy hour at 6PM. read more

Long established local bar Ireland's 32 endures like the Giant's Causeway. Popular with locals for a long happy hour beginning at 2:00 pm and continuing until 8:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Regularly hosting live music, a good spot to meet friends. Since it's a modestly sized place the music may be overly loud for sensitive folks once the bands crank up. I regret to say the food offerings are just okay for snacking, but I've been disappointed with the meals. B.L.T. is okay. The corned beef sandwich had beef as tough as shoe leather. ( Corned beef takes hours to cook - no way could it be tender and ready for my sandwich. ) My friends are less critical and have enjoyed the burgers. While I can get the cider I'm looking for, I now prefer to eat elsewhere. Parking lot is modest and can only accommodate about eight cars or so. Ireland's is a perfect Irish pub, with a perfect Irishman behind the bar...makes me feel at home! I went for a few drinks just after work (3 30pm) this past Tuesday and the place was empty aside from a few regulars. The bartender was extremely attentative and very nice, as were all the regulars in the place. A friend recommended the Irish cider they have at the bar (bottled, not on tap), and I became immediately addicted..I wish I could find the stuff at a local store but it seems Ireland's is the only place to find it! Appetizers are half off during happy hour, which is amazing, given the already low prices. I had a basket of onion rings and a basket of fries (both awesome!), which all together only cost me about $3.50! A friend of mine ordered a burger that they call the 'mule', it's not on the menu, but if you ask for it they'll send it your way. It looked amazing...a couple onion rings, BBQ sauce and all the fixins on a HUGE burger...and my friend dug it! I had only been to Ireland's once before, a few years ago, at more of their prime time....I believe it was on a Saturday night. There was an amazing Irish band playing awesome Irish drinking songs and the crowd was very laid back (not 'scene' types at all), just drinking and dancing and getting romantic with each other. My only complaint (and it's not really fair to complain about this) is the fact that they lack a veggie burger on the menu. I know, I know...vegetarianism isn't very Irish, but it would be great if they had a couple of veggie patties on hand for when us freaks show up at the bar! read more

I don't always go to bars, but when I do... The ambience here is jovial and friendly. If you want a bit of live music or you want to enjoy a pay-per-view event, like a boxing or MMA match, this is a very good place to do some communal viewing. The prices are typical but even purchasing a few drinks and some bar food is much cheaper than many PPV events. Plus you get all the other maniacs cheering and yelling while the event unfolds. I love dive bars they are my kinda place. Ireland's 32 has a good vibe, fair prices, and good ambiance. Parking is a drag so minus half a point for needing to park around the block. And the bartender was a bit slow in mixing drinks and running cards, so the other half a point. Otherwise great food, good vibes and easy for an early Thursday night. I got fish and chips with two blue moons and an appetizer platter and it came out to about $33 dollars. Happy hour is from 5-8 I believe so getting there early is a plus. I have been to this place several times and loved it at night ... but come at 3 30 pm and there is an old bar tender who tells me I can't order food til 4pm cause the chef hasn't started yet which is totally fine... but then 4pm comes around and he says the cook still isn't here so I say well can I place my order for when he does arrive and he says no. So I wait til 4 26pm and then when I go to place my order I ask for a side of gravy with my fries and he says no that's too difficult and it would piss of the cook... I'm like are oh fucking kidding me? So then I finally get my food and it tastes amazing so I ask to order more and he says oh now you can't have the same platter as before because it was too difficult... which by the way was not difficult at all it was just a regular mixed platter that I have ordered several times.... I said fine and left without buying more because he made me very angry... it seemed like the bar tender just didn't want to serve our age range and the funny thing is is I am a server and I always leave 20% or above for tip so jokes on him... He also told me a price for a whiskey on the rocks and it turned out to be $2 more when I got the check... #notimpressed read more

Had an amazing time there last night! Sean Wiggins and Lone Goat played- tunes from the 60's to today's hits! Jennifer, the server was amazing- She introduced herself to me as soon as I sat down, gave us a quick history of the bar, as well as some of the regular clientele. The regulars were amazing as well- friendly, and not afraid to ask complete strangers to dance with them- regardless of gender- it was fun to watch everyone dancing and having a great time. They actually employ Irish bartenders- and I can assure you they poured my Guinness perfectly each time- just the right temperature as well- I have been to Ireland- and spent time in their pubs- this was as close to being in an Irish pub outside of Ireland. The service was amazing, and even though I do not usually frequent pubs, I will definitely go back to hear their Irish bands perform (usually Friday) when my friends perform, or just need to get out of the house. One note- this place is not a dive as has been discussed in other posts- they constantly clean away dishes and glasses, as well as wipe down tables and the bar. I have been to some true dives, being a former musician- this place is clean- including the bathrooms- even at the end of the night! I am very impressed, and so happy I went-I will return with more friends next time! read more

Live bands, cheap drinks, and a great atmosphere in the little dive bar on a Friday night. My fiance and I had a lot of fun talking with the regulars here. It does get a little packed, where it can be hard to even hear yourself think, but it's really lively, and I love the energy there. Our bartender was actually from Ireland and he made amazing drinks. I was hanging out with a buddy of mine yesterday drinking beers at his house. My boyfriend Nick calls me and wants to meet up at Ireland's 32. My friend Matt and I had never been here but Nick used to play shows here all the time. So, he knows and loves the place. When we got there, the outside of the building is nothing special but once we walked inside, I was pleasantly surprised! It was not too busy. They have a nice sized bar with a decent selection of beers and liquors. They have a dance floor and stage area for live music. Matt, Nick and myself started off with a Magner's Apple Cider. DELISH. I am now hooked on hard apple cider thanks to my beer snob boyfriend. Then Nick and I had some Guinness. Then I had a Jack and Coke to finish off the evening. The prices are pretty reasonable.
