Fantastic neighborhood spot! These types of places are few and far between in L.A. so it's always a pleasure to stumble on one. Came for the Blue Travelers band and now I'm definitely a fan of both the band and the establishment. Great crowd of folks who know how to work a dance floor. My girlfriends recently took me there for post-dinner birthday drinks. I get that it's a Saturday night but when the male bartender, Mo, has to apologize for the drunk female(we saw her taking shots of jaeger)bartender it's just bad. Ordered to go. Corn beef / cabbage plate and sandwich. Corn beef was moist and delicious. Would have liked bigger portions of veggies though? Other family member gave thumbs up on the sandwich. Would visit again to order more off the menu. Had a Guinness while awaiting on my order and in celebration of being St. Patrick's Day. Bartenders very hospitable and making sure you were taken care of. Being St.Paddy's day a full house. Probably occupancy limit of 75? Stools at the bar. Love coming here, such a great atmosphere. People here are so nice. Food has gotten a lot better over the years too. They changed the fries from a seasoned bunch to In-n-out style fries cooked to a superior quality. I suppose if I had to say something bad is that with all the smoking, alcohol, and high fat food, health & fitness dies here but that's all besides the point of coming here. Good Guinness. The music is pretty loud. Good food. Definitely a place to relax for an afternoon football game.

Bands start so late, and they take breaks within an hour of playing. For those of us who don't stay up all night it is disappointing.

An absolute 5-star dive bar with great pub food, and the ghosts of 1970s cigs wafting up from the floorboards embracing you into that familiar vintage retro headspace. Super friendly bar staff and regulars and a fun wifi-powered jukebox as well. I came here for st Patrick's day and it was packed, which with a name like irelands you would Expect that. I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people in the venue and there was a huge line to get in. The staff was lovely, super patient and friendly. They had anticipated the amount of people coming because they had Porto potties outside and they were relatively clean. The drinks were pretty well priced and I'm sure on a normal day it would be a cool place to hang. read more

Needed a drink with a friend. We like low key spots and this fit right in. This is a place for locals that's for sure. There was a band that night and every night apparently. Place is small, the place is kinda devided by half wall. Had sliders and fries, both were good. Drinks were reasonably price. Service - one bartender but that's fine, just a minute longer for 1st drink but good after that. Food came out quick enough. Atmosphere - it's an Irish bar! It's good for the size. Been drinking here for over 20 yrs. Place is not for everyone, young Millennials won't like it. For the true Irish you'll love it here, almost make you feel like you're back on the Island. Mostly locals ( don't take their bar stools) and movie industry folks. I haven't eaten here in a while but the food has always been good. The beer is cold. Weekends there is Irish music. We just visited this GREAT Dive Bar in Van Nuys to see and listen to our all time favorite entertainer Teresa James and her Band the Rhythm Tramps. As usual both the venue and performer were excellent. Over the Past year we have made our monthly trip from San Bernardino when they are performing. We thoroughly enjoy visiting Our Favorite Bar and particularly want to give credit to Allen the Master Bartender for handing the complete operation in such a great way. I love this place normally We've been coming here for 15 + years. The Guinness, wings and burgers are delicious. Unfortunately now they have a bartender named Krystal that's rude and won't serve you. She will double check perhaps her usual guest, but will not acknowledge you. It took another guest to call on her service, She yelled from a cross the bar and said " I can see everything from here!" But still took her time to come ask for my order. Its sad beacuse we were there when they were raising money to stay open. We belive in taking care of your local businesses. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. I think what prompts me now is looking at all the previous ones that use the phrase "dive bar." I take umbrage to that. It is not a dive bar. It is a pub, or if you're from back East or the Midwest, it's a Tavern. Good food, a perfect pint well poured and more often than not, good company from left to right. Live entertainment on many a night. Open mic night, karaoke, and fun bands on the weekend. Just don't think you can be an amateur and come here on St. Patrick's Day and blend in. read more
