After several reviews on the chicken pot pie soup, I ventured into the Ireland Pub! I sat at the bar, a wonderful waitress by the name of Amy I believe greeted me with a friendly hello. I ordered a bowl of the soup and I wanted to get two to go.. I also ordered a Maurice Salad to go WOW! The greens were crisp and fresh. The meat/cheese were Julienned perfectly. The chef in the kitchen absolutely knows what he's doing. Atmosphere is wonderful. The food is outstanding. The presentation on my carryout was beautiful.. I will definitely be back soon to try other items. The menu is very versatile. I highly recommend the Ireland Pub. read more

My local "Cheers" bar. Always welcoming atmosphere and always see a friend. The service is usually pretty good...everyone has a bad night, but it's mostly always good. Their pizza is great! They have a Reuben pizza that's different and tasty. I've had the nachos as a take out and they do not skimp on anything!!! read more

I ordered the nachos, they were ok but both of our glasses were dirty and stuff was floating in our beers. When we politely asked for clean ones the waitress had the nastiest attitude about it and brought the same glasses(same lipstick marks) back with new beer. Super disappointed. Racism. Sat at the bar as a party of one and placed a small carryout order. I watched four customer's arrive after me and spread out amongst the bar. During a timeframe approximately between 40-50 mins, I notice that the four others are eating food as I sit and patiently wait for my small carryout order. I then realize where is my food, right? Well, believe it or not the waitress really does not have a valid explanation. She checks the food tickets and says it should be shortly ready. More and more food orders of other customers are being placed on the kitchen production counter area!!!!!!! I requested to speak with the manager which I learned was the owner named TOM. He unapologetically says, the kitchen follows the orders as food is requested. He then says I could check the time on your food was ordered and all others. Well, I understand the order of the kitchen- but I was here and ordered before the customers you are pointing to in your restaurant so help me understand this situation and follow up with me asap. Tom walks away without notice, heads to the kitchen, returns to me and says I can give you 20% off your bill. 20%? I have a $50 plus food order. Tom was VERY aggressive in manner as if this is a matter that I initiated as a customer. He never spoke of the outcome of investigating all orders were placed. I proceed to tell him that I have been waiting almost an hour for food. Tom cuts me off mid-sentence and yells "MAAM YOU DID NOT WAIT A HOUR STOP SAYING YOU WAITED A HOUR". I never been yelled at by a restaurant owner, i have never not received an apology or an explanation as to why customers who arrived after me received food prior to my order, I have never NOT been asked how I can be accommodated as a customer. Not to mention, there was a customer beside me cosigning Tom's behavior knowing that he arrived and ordered after I. Customer service is key and this restaurant lacks it on so many levels. MIGHT I ADD- while all of this is actually happening...guess who still was waiting for food? Me. I opted for a full refund and Tom still did not acknowledge the errors HIS restaurant made. You do not have to worry about me ever returning nor recommending this place. If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. Never again. read more

We decided to check out Ireland's Pub. It is seat yourself type of Pub. It appears to have a room in which you can host an event as it looked like there was a large party and the food was buffet style. Ireland's Pub also has several TVs throughout so one can catch the latest games. Ireland's Pub has a private parking lot and there is outdoor seating available in good weather. We were able to find a seat and then promptly serviced. I ordered a Strongbow, which is a sweet cider. For our appetizer, we had the Mozzarella sticks served with both marinara and ranch dressing, which were pretty tasty. For the entree, we both had fish. He had the sauteed Perch, mashed potatoes and onion rings. (you can make substitutes if you want a different side) I ordered the two four ounce fish and chips with a salad instead of Cole slaw. Overall, I thought the food, service were good. I would definitely say that Ireland's Pub offers an array of American cuisine than traditional Irish cuisine. read more

This place is a nice local pub but its hit or miss. Some foods they do really well others are weak at best. But being they are open when i get off work late ill take what i can get. This past time we had a slow and confused but sweet server. We werent upset with her but she was just not doing well for us. This last time i ordered pretzel bites. They werent that good. A bit too hard like over baked. Then our waitress heard me ask a question about a pita appetizer and she ordered it in addition. That turned out to be a good mistake we weren't charged for. Then i ordered the 5-cheese pizza. It was decent but the cheddar and the parm wasn't a good fit for some of the cheeses they were using. To be honest i think they just figured they would try what they had on hand. The pizza came out almost luke warm. Wasn't sending back due to how long our server was taking. Its an okay place in a pinch. Ive had a few other items that are decent so ill stick to those. read more

Friends wanted go here for drinks and dinner. They have a six page menu for beer. The prices are fair and had many choices. I chose the 23oz Sam Adams and it cold and refreshing. I ordered the Signature burger it was cooked the way I ordered. The burger itself was the normal toppings lettuce, onion and tomato. But the kicker was it was topped with breaded pickles which was a great add. I had a cup of chili which was good not to spicy. Our server was fantastic. read more

The staff and service we received was great. The food was good. However, if your planning an event in their semi private area, don't. We has issues with people we didn't know that came into the room asking people for drugs. When said person was told no and that it wasn't that kind of event, that person proceeded to to sit in the room with our party and stare at everyone. That person was asked to leave several times and didn't. At some point shot glasses and fist fights happened. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. I rate this place about 50\50 down the middle. My Coke tasted a little off. The pretzels were good but I had to ask for one of the sauces that were supposed to come with it. Here's where it gets 50\50 my sandwich the Dip was great, tasted great the onion rings though sucked. They had no flavor just some thin tasteless onion straws made into circles, with all the effort they put into the rest of their food why not spend some money on some produce and make some actual really good onion rings. Visited 4/28 for the first time. Sadly, we will not be back. The "pub" is obnoxiously loud. Hard to have a conversation with people. Tables were dirty upon arrival. Food was OK. I ordered the corned beef sandwich. Typical Boars head lunch meat. You would think an Irish Pub would serve fresh corned beef layered on the bread with thick cuts of meat. Check out The Butter Run in St. Clair Shores. But, Ireland's Pub is not a true Irish Pub. The owners could invest in some sound deadening material and perhaps look into cooking some Wiggy's corned beef. Update: I am pleased the owners took time to address my concerns. I am also pleased knowing Ireland's serves Wiggly's corned beef. My only suggestion would be to slice the brisket with a knife instead of a deli meat slicer. Uneven, thick cuts of meat with be more pleasing in my opinion than your typical deli style sandwich. Regardless, the owner provided feedback which was very considerate. read more

Several ladies from our knitting group had lunch here for the first time recently. The waitress was very friendly and helpful, we had a good time with her. Don't get it. Main area feels cramped, side room seems like an afterthought. Entire place seemed not dirty but not clean. TVs in the main area were so low it felt cramped. Staff was good but the place and layout were lacking. Probably closer to 1.5 stars. Advice to ownership: knock out the wall between the two areas.
