Great breakfast spot.
Janice J.

Always a great place to grab a bite to eat. The customer service is great and the food is always freshly cooked. The prices are reasonable.

Stopped in Saturday for breakfast. Ordered the eggs Benedict. This is my favorite breakfast. I'm never disappointed when I order it here. The eggs are poached perfectly nice runny yellow. The Canadian bacon is fantastic and the English muffin nice and fluffy. I ordered the hash browns I like mine crispy and they were excellent not greasy at all. The service was great. I have to drink water due to illness. My glass was never empty . Nice and clean inside. The breakfast menu is large.

I drove 700 miles for Louie's Ham in Mt. Clemens, and it was worth every inch of the trip! Their corned beef sandwich is simply the best--juicy, tender, and piled high. The owners and staff treat you like family, the restaurant is spotless, and every single item on the menu is outstanding. At Louie's, nothing is ever a problem--it's always a pleasure. This place sets the bar for food, service, and hospitality!

Tiny little spot with giant portions! From all the hellos I heard inside, it's definitely a spot all the locals visit quite often. I did a carryout; my advice would be if you get carryout, ask for sauce on the side. They definitely do not skimp on portions, you will get a giant sandwich and you will be full. The sandwich was delicious, the meat was really good. I'm not a huge fan of the coleslaw, it was far too sweet. That was the only drawback. Otherwise, it's an amazing meal. I'm gonna try a Russian sandwich next time with the sauerkraut and see how that goes. It's a wonderful little spot and they do drive through as well if I'm not mistaken. The folks inside were all very nice and helpful as well.

If you're looking for a quick, delicious breakfast, this is the place to go. I ordered lemon rice soup, the croissant breakfast sandwich and hash-browns and all were out in less than 10 minutes. I was shocked as it was a busy Sunday morning. The service was friendly and prompt. They forgot the ham on my sandwich but when I told the waitress, she apologized, grabbed it and had returned it with ham within minutes. This place was worth the stop!

As always this place is so yummy!! Went today after noon and it was easy to find a seat. Our waitress was so very pleasant and the food was delivered very fast. I love how they shave their corned beef so it's always tender. That sandwich was piled high!! My hubby loves that they use a thick slice of ham on the club. He took half home and I planned on it but dropped the larger half onto the floor. Yes I started crying lol I love their sandwich. No fear they were so kind and made me another half to take home. How awesome is that??!!

What a great local restaurant! Stopped by Louie's for a quick lunch with my brother. Greeted by a friendly staff, we were quickly seated and welcomed as if we'd been going there for years. I enjoyed the Russian Ruben, pictured below and my brother got a patty melt. Both were fantastic! The corned beef was lean, and piled high. The patty melt looked like a hand formed patty and the bread was grilled to perfection. Highly recommend making the trip to Louie's if you're looking for a great sandwich.

It took 20ish minutes to get drinks and refills. I had asked for a water several times and we had to end up sharing. We got chicken tenders, poutine and pierogi for appetizers. The poutine and chicken tenders were both amazing! The chicken was fresh and very good quality, it seemed to be hand breaded. The poutine had great flavor also! The pierogi was dry and not great, so I would skip those next time. For dinner I ordered the mac and cheese and French onion soup. The French onion soup was so salty it was inedible. The Mac and cheese was also disappointing. I thought it would be baked or have a sauce and it didn't. It reminded me more of a kids meal (but with adult prices) and was a small portion. Husband got the fish and chips and he enjoyed them, but said he wished they gave malt vinegar with them. Overall the service was slow and some dishes were great and some were not so great.

As I walked along Main Street, I happened to come across one of my favorite restaurants, Mount Clemens Grill. I walked in and notified my waitress that I did not have a reservation. With a pleasant smile, she acted as if it wasn't any kind of problem and offered to let me sit wherever I wanted. This was the beginning of a great dining experience! Once I was seated, a menu was offered and my drink selected. When she brought my drink ($2.50 hot tea, with sliced lemon and a bit of honey), I requested a $12 Farmer's Omelette, with rye toast. With Motown favorites playing in the back ground and a nice view of the activities outside, it was a peaceful wait until my order arrived. Now, I enjoy eating out, and when I do, I like to order satisfying meals. Well, this certainly 'fit the bill' and I devoured my omelette with vigor. The only alteration I made was adding some salt and pepper, and a little hot sauce to satisfy my tongue. I was able to maintain my status as a member of the Clean Plate Club®. My waitress was very nice and treated me like I was the only customer in the restaurant! She checked up on me once and found everything to be in order. She dropped off the bill and after the Governor got her cut, the total was $15.36. As I like to do with all small dining establishments, I paid with cash and left a decent tip. I always have a pleasant dining experience here. You will too!

I also didn't even realize they served food, which probably says something about how it's presented. That said, the music is always solid. It's a fun place to grab a drink after work and hang out for a bit. Just not somewhere I find myself staying long or choosing over other spots nearby. If I can offer anything to the team, I think leaning into the vibe of that patio and elevating the atmosphere a bit would go a long way.
