My 7 year-old grandson played with his new IPod Touch this past Christmas (2014) until going to bed Christmas evening. A gift from his mother, it was red with his initials and "Spiderman" engraved on the back. His Mom told him to make sure he kept it in his jeans pocket when not using it, he did. Christmas night his Dad threw those jeans (with IPod) into the washer, then the dryer. Dead. Dead. Dead. I tried the "5 days in rice bag" trick, nothing. I cannot begin to tell you what angst that household suffered as a result..(ok, angst may be a tad strong but.... remember...Gift from Mom, Dad washes IPod...oh yeh... did I mention Dad rarely does laundry?. Some tension existed) Having used IResQ for a cracked screen on an I-something a few years ago (I'm 62, I don't have to remember what it was) I sent the IPod Touch to them for an evaluation. Based on what I'd read online about similar drowned IPods, I was not hopeful that it could be repaired. And after evaluating it, was not surprised to hear from IResQ that repair was really not feasible, or at least not cost effective. But they offered me an option to replace the device with a refurbished unit for under $100. (understand I was looking at a complete re-purchase as the only alternative) I said 'Lets do it' and it is at this point that IResQ, went beyond my expectations. I was anticipating one of two outcomes: 1. A refurb unit but a different color - While not ideal, I would have taken this since it would put a working IPoD back in my grandson's hands. But since it would clearly not be the same device ... Mom would be continually reminded about Dad's screw-up and, in turn, feel obligated to remind Dad about said screw-up....continually. OR 2. A refurb unit in same color as damaged unit. - I would have been VERY happy with this ending and probably would have taken it myself somewhere to have the engraving duplicated only because it was important to his Mom. (As well as to reduce the amount of reminding mentioned above.) IResQ delivered a 3rd option I never expected: They returned to me a pristeen, brand-new looking (refurb, yes) device, exactly same specs and color as the original AND they duplicated the engraving on the back. When I was speaking to the young lady (so sorry I didn't note your name) about the refurb option, I did ask if it was possible to exchange the back plate of the original with the refub, to preserve the color and engraving. Her response was - '..don't worry the device you get back will be identical to the one you sent in, and if engraving was required we have guys who "do a great job"....' So however they did it, the device I got back looked like a brand spanking new IPoD touch with engraving, exactly like the one opened Christmas morning. And that is apparently just IResQ's standard practice. So as I said in my note to them: "..... you guys provided me with what I consider a platinum level of service, as your default, standard operating practice. That is amazing and you guys are awesome. I had a first generation iPod classic with 120 GB of space that was more or less dead. The charge wouldn't hold, and soon the screen started to fade so that you couldn't even see the words on it anymore, even if the iPod was on. It is impossible to find this generation iPod anywhere for a reasonable amount of money, and it also had all of my music that I didn't want to lose. (The computer that originally had all of the music had died previously, and so there would be no way to get it back.) I shipped the iPod for a free quote and they contacted me two days later, right when they received it, saying someone would be in contact within 24 hours. I waited about 36 with no response, and so I sent the company an email, to which I received a response only hours later. I was told that they'd tried replacing the battery and the LCD screen and was given very specific details on why each had failed -- ie the iPod played music for two hours before dying -- before being told the logic board needed to be replaced, and that this would wipe out all of the data. I wasn't sure I wanted to continue with the repair, because part of the reason I needed the iPod fixed was for the hundreds of songs on it. I expressed these concerns, and Melissa went out of her way to take screenshots of almost 700 songs on the iPod so that I could have a list of them for future reference. She got them to me the day after she offered to do this for me. After I received the screenshots, I told them to continue with the repair. I was told that they had to order the part. This was understandable because I assumed a logic board for a first generation iPod classic was not a typical part they would just have lying around. It took about two weeks for the part to come in, but when I sent an email wondering when they would receive the part, I received a response the same day telling me they should have it within a couple of days. Three days later, I got an email with the tracking number for my device. It was shipped to me in a box marked all over with red "fragile" tape and bubble-wrapped to a point I didn't even think was necessary, but I appreciated the extra caution. About a month later and it's still working perfectly. Good as new. Overall I am a very pleased customer. There was a very fast response time for any questions I had and an email was sent to me for each step of the process, from when they received my iPod to when they completed the order. If I ever need a device fixed in the future, I will definitely be reaching out to iResQ. I spent about a third of the cost as I would've getting it repaired by Apple and about a fourth of the cost of buying a new iPod altogether. read more

I had purchased an iPod Touch for my wife a few years ago. I found out sometime later (after the warranty expired) that there was no audio in the left ear phone. Basically, the device had never been used, and I didn't want to spend another $200.00 for a new one. So, before chucking it out, I checked with my tech savvy brother-in-law. He recommended I check out the iResQ web site. I found their site extremely easy to navigate through (being a 62 year old, not to tech savvy a person, this was a plus). A quick note; The iResQ Rep informed me that the repair would cause me to lose all content down loaded on the device, so back it up / save to another device before shipping it out. I have a 5th generation video Ipod with the wheel I'd like to keep forever. I prefer the Ipod without all of the added stuff that makes up the newer versions. I sent mine to the company for a second time (the first was a couple of years ago to get a battery and headset jack) when it stopped after taking a tumble. Turns out I needed a new logic repair board. Since I didn't release a certain amount of funds for repair when I shipped it off I had to wait to be notified about the problem. Therefore I knew I wouldn't have the 24 hour turn around time for returning it. After paying for the service I was then notified that my face plate was damaged which didn't surprise me because when my Ipod stopped working I tried to take it apart myself. But I was becoming fatigued with the rising expense for repairs but bought what was needed and hoped nothing else would be wrong. I got my toy back yesterday and I must say I'm extremely pleased with the work. The thing looks brand new - I wish now I had paid to get a new back panel too. Maybe it's me but the LCD screen looks better than the one I had before. And surprisingly my library wasn't erased. But the Ipod started to skip songs I selected for play. I could not be happier than I am with my service from iResq. I have an 80 GB iPod Classic, Yes, it's a dinosaur but no other device holds that volume. One of the channels fritzed out and I needed to get it repaired. I took it to the Apple Store and they said that it could not be repaired because it is all 1 piece and then they tried to sell me a new device with 64 GB of memory and a lot of features that I didn't want. Then I looked online for a "new" iPod and the prices were over $400. Then I found iResq. What an awesome company. I used this place a few months ago when I trashed my iphone by smashing the screen on the sidewalk. The screen was literally fractured into a million pieces. I paid for expedited service (they send you the box and fedex label) and I mailed it off. I received my phone in 48 hours and it looked brand new. No hidden fees...no crappy materials...it worked like it was brand new. Here I am a few months later..new phone same old story. Screen smashed. I once again asked for expedited service, received the box and label and tracked my iphone's journey to iresq online. I saw my phone arrived at their location at 8:59 this am...and I received an email 2 hours later letting me know my iphone is on the way home completely repaired. I cannot recommend this place enough. There are plenty of local places I could have taken my iphone and had repaired onsite, but they don't use the same material Iresq does, and I don't trust the workmanship as much. Besides, I never seemed to be able to find the time to get to the local kiosk in the mall for phone replacement. Wow!!! This place was a find! My ancient iPod Photo's battery died on me. Way out of AppleCare warranty. I was devastated as these iPods didn't have a 2 way syncing feature and I had no backup for all the music I had on there as I deleted a lot of it from my iTunes library over the years to make extra hard drive space on my computer. Luckily, I came across this place on the net. Very easy webpage/system to navigate and very reasonably priced. I needed the iPod back in a hurry because I'm going away in a few days, so I paid for 1 day shipping both ways. Sent it in on Thursday and received it back in my hands Monday morning! I couldn't have asked for anything better! All my music is back in my hand and I'm thrilled. I'm now going to go look at all my older idevices that have had issues and see what else I can get these guys to fix. Don't think twice about sending these folks your broken devices. Right before Christmas I managed to crack the LCD in my Macbook pro with retina, so I took it to Best buy and apple to see what it would cost me to get it fixed. $1000.00 was the general estimate which is half the price of what I paid for the damn thing. After doing some research I came across iresq and was impressed with all the positive reviews and the bbb rating. I bought the LCD fix on there website, printed out my fedex overnight slip and shipped it off. Fedex just dropped my Macbook off to my door less than 10 minutes ago and I couldnt be happier with the results. I recently needed a repair for my iPad. I noticed that it wasn't picking up my wifi all of a sudden. Since it had fallen many times, I wasn't sure if that was the cause. I called Apple, who tried to trouble shoot the problem but was unable to solve it. I also took it to an Apple store, who also tried to solve the issue. After trying many solutions that didn't resolve the problem, one of the Apple workers told me it was most likely a broken antenna. I called Apple again. They gave me a phone number for a repair service and that repair service gave me the web site address for IResQ. I am so happy that I was given that information. After reading other customers' glowing reviews, I ordered the repair of my ipad antenna on their web site, prepaid with PayPal, and sent the iPad by USPS. The day after they received the ipad, it was returned, repaired, and works beautifully now. They also answer any questions immediately, including emailed questons. Most businesses don't answer email questions for at least 24 hours. IResQ answers within minutes, or even seconds, of sending the email. They also offer telephone help. Last time I had to ship my Macbook for a repair, it got lost for two months and the repair took ages. When the screen stopped working a few months ago, I was scared having to send my Mac sent halfway across the country again and that I was getting the wrong repair done. Then I spoke to the fantastic Customer Service reps for iresQ! I'm sad I don't remember her name (something along the lines of Kimberly or Steffany?) But she guaranteed that it will be tracked FedEx both ways, fixed within 24 hours of receiving it, and sent back to me. If I purchased the wrong repair, she promised it would be refunded, and they would call and speak to me before charging the repair needed in case I wanted it done elsewhere. My computer arrived at their store around 9:00AM on Friday, according to FedEx, and I got the notice it was being dropped off and sent back to me at 6:32pm same day. WOW! It is now back with me at home and the screen is amazing! Looks just like the day I bought it! My wife took our MacBook Air on a trip and somehow managed to bend the corner while it was closed in the backpack. It didn't cause any damage to the motherboard but the top right corner of the screen began to lose pixels until the entire top of the screen was black. Both the lower right corner below the keyboard and the top right corner of the screen were bent and separated. After shipping it to iResQ they inspected it and said the screen replacement was all that was actually needed. They said that they could replace the entire case to fix the bent corners if we wanted to or just leave them alone since it was only cosmetic damage. The case replacement was almost $700 so we passed. We received the repaired MBA the other day and I could not be happier with the repairs they made. I expected the screen repair to be done well, but I certainly didn't expect the case damage to be fixed. Both the top and bottom corners are almost perfectly re-aligned and the only traces of the previous damage are a few dimples. iResQ provided service above and beyond my expectations. read more

My iPad air went crazy -- it was turning on, turning off, turning on, turning off. I took it to the Apple Store, where they told me that the sleep/wake/power button was loose, which was triggering the on/off issue. It had begun happening once or twice per day, and then was basically 100x per hour after three weeks or so. Once the tech showed me, I could see that the button was loose. I'm not sure what caused it to become loose. I had not dropped it or banged it that I know of. The Apple Store told me it would be $300 to fix. I found iResQ on line. Figured it couldn't hurt to try, and saw the good reviews on Yelp. Sent my iPad in on Wednesday via overnight. It was received Thursday, and I have it back in hand on Friday. It appears to have been fully repaired (and I will update this post if something goes haywire again). My iPad seems to be in good shape and is not any more scratched than it was before it went in. Oh my goodness! This is a great service! I live in Florida, got water in my iPhone, and it wouldn't charge. I bought a new battery thinking that was the problem, installed it carefully, no luck. There are places around here that I could have taken it to, but I searched online, trusted my heart, and chose iResQ. I'd been walking around with a defective Classic iPod screen for years. But as long as I was able to listen to music, I lived with it. Recently the battery died and I was finding no one really supported it. One day I decided to see if I could get the battery replaced. Came across a lot of kits for doing it myself before I found iResQ. Realized the cost of replacing the battery myself was the same as just sending it to iResQ. Then I found out the iResQ team could fix my screen too. So I sent it off to them. During the checkout process, a $5 coupon I wanted to apply got lost. I had an older version Ipod touch with tons of music and podcast on it. It would not charge; I connected multiple chargers to it and no luck. I could not find a local vendor who would even look at it. I found iResQ through google search and contacted them. The tech I talked to directed me to the web site page where I could create a case and send in the device for free diagnostic. It's cool because you can put a limit on the cost of repair and if it's less than the limit they fix it and send back to you. I'm amazed at how quick and easy this whole process was. The LCD screen of my macbook pro was cracked and needed to be replaced. I called customer service to double check that I was ordering everything correctly, and they guided me through the website. I chose to have iResQ send me a prepaid box to ship it in. I thought it looked flimsy, but the Fedex guy assured me that it would be safe in the foam provided by iResQ. Once they received my macbook, they sent me updates during the process of it being fixed. My iPad speaker was broken for over a year and I was unable to find anyone locally to fix it (besides Apple $$$) I ran across iResq while searching "how to fix iPad 3 speaker" I thought it sounded like a GREAT idea and the price was unbeatable.
