Y'all I never take the time to leave a review BUT omg I will never eat here again. I will post pictures below viewer discretion is advised. I went last night and I ordered 20 min before I arrived. I went in and paid and after another 10 minutes I asked for an update and the girl informed me there was no cabbage although I had already paid and had been waiting almost 45 min. The man comes out the back after me and the host were going back and forth and basically said oh well. The manager who was sitting there made it worse but i don't feel like typing all of that. Y'all I honestly should have waited 3-5 days for my refund but I was starving after working ten hours and really didn't want to waist money. Hours later after eating I threw EVERYTHING up. I went here for takeout and have been at least three times since the new owners took over so feel I am qualified to review it. I have had jerked chicken (twice), and curried goat on more than one occasion for lunch. I have to agree with the other reviews about the food being sort of bland, except for the goat. The rice and peas and the plantain are dry and I suspect reheated from the day before. When I went a couple of days ago, I was given 2.5 pieces of chicken in the small-part of the to-go container and was told this is the standard lunch portion for a price of $12.99?!! The goat is spicy, but unless you dine in, you get mostly bones. Notice the two pictures I included of the goat--one from April and then a much smaller portion in June. Also, it is true that none of the cajun appetizers are ever available. They are always waiting on supplies or looking to hire another chef blah blah blah...I cannot recommend. read more

Came here late on a Friday night for some drinks. It was reverse HH, so we went with mojitos. They took a surprisingly long time to make and were overly sweet. This was my first time at this location. The location shares a parking lot with other businesses. It's kind of small inside. We were able to be seated immediately since we were the only customers there. There were a few 'to go' order customers that came in but that was it. We had to wait a while for our food for it to only be us in the restaurant. The waitress was helpful and provided good suggestions. I had the Cajun Alfredo with shrimp. It was so so. The flavor was normal. Nothing to rave about. They need to remove the word Cajun. It was good for what it was, but definitely not the Cajun style I'm use to. It was just the pasta, sauce, and shrimp. However there were lots of shrimp and if you like sauce they are heavy on the Alfredo sauce. I honestly think they forgot to season it. One of the others in our party ordered the same thing and had to add hot sauce. The other in our party ordered the Blackened Fish and said it was delicious. I have surely seen an improvement in the food quality and taste from the previous place that used to be here. .. everything that we have eaten here has been great !! My husband and I favorite foods here are the beef patties , oxtails which are nice and meaty and seasoned well, and the stewed chicken. ! The rice and peas I could just eat alone they are so great the cabbage is well seasoned but not overpowered with spice. One improvement I could suggest would be to ensure that the cabbage when dining is is more warm when brought out to the table, and I noticed not t to go too late before the kitchen closes in because their food is so good they run out of some menu items ... but other than that the service is on point and friendly and the drinks are strong and well priced !! More people surely need to try this place out I'm sure you won't be disappointed. read more

Would eat the jerk chicken from Bourbon Sizzler about once a week in 2019 Pre-Covid, had no issues. However, today in 2023 the customer service is horrible and there are always "new cooks" that do not know the menu or have a clue in the world regarding what they're doing. Called in an order and after ordering all I got was a "okay". Had to ask for my total and how long it would take. Was told it would take 15-20 minutes. Which was perfect for me because I live 23 minutes away. Stopped at the gas station omw which added about 5 minutes. And when I got there had to wait another 13 minutes. To be told 20 minutes and having to wait over 40 is ridiculous. The cook was struggling to tie up the bag when I was leaving and I said don't worry I will eat the food in the car because that's how hungry I was. Upon receiving my "fish basket" there was only one piece of fish in it. Thank God I didn't let him tie up the bag and drive all the way home. I went back in about it and was told "sorry they thought it was a special" and then had to wait another 23 minutes to get one piece of fish. Check your food before you leave and don't go if your in a rush because there wait times are unreliable. read more

But then, my interest simply turned downward because of repeated bad service. But tonight, I came through, hesitantly, to meet some friends at their urging. Once again - HESITANTLY - I came. Past experiences that were less than pleasant gave my reservations up...but then I met the bartender, Ivy. And my thoughts and feelings about the Bourbon Sizzler have been altered. Wonderful personality, knowledgeable about menu items and ingredients and a genuine interest in pleasing her guests. What she doesn't know is that I've been in the customer service industry for 26 years and I'm so impressed by her, I will definitely be back and invite some friends.
