Attn Parents: Contrary to what is put on the website you cannot bring a photocopy of your child's birth certificate to get their ears pierced. Even if you have been there before. The website clearly indicates that a photocopy is acceptable but in the store they said we needed an original copy and turned us away. When I called later to let them know about the conflicting info they said they would "look into getting the website changed" It's too bad because the last time the experience was much easier. read more

Immediately no. We went in to inquire about a piercing for me and our 12 year old and look at jewelry. No one was in there shopping, the two staff were sitting behind the counter seemingly doing nothing. They were very uninviting and acted very uninterested in us. There was no warm welcome, terrible customer service, they were condescending and rude, and very much gave off the vibe that they didn't want to be at work and didn't want us there... like annoyed almost that we were in there. Overall the energy in there was terrible- definitely not the energy I want when there's needles going in me. ALSO ! He told us they require an actual physical birth certificate (not a copy) and a some form of ID THOUGH THE WEBSITE CLEARLY SAYS a copy of the birth certificate IS ACCEPTABLE and an ID is only required for kids 13 AND OLDER. Aka they don't want to pierce kids- or at least make it very difficult. We called another piercing shop and they just need a parent to sign a waiver and would take a photo of the parent's drivers license. read more

Great experience for my 10-yr old getting her ears pierced! It's been about 7 months and they have healed beautifully. No issues whatsoever. We opted to upgrade to gemstone earrings, and tho a little pricey for a kid, they are clearly high quality and I imagine she will wear them for years to come. I appreciated how frank the employees were about expectations for healing--e,g, it can take a longer-than-you-expect time for kids, and it's better to just leave them in and not mess with them for a long time. Everything they told me was spot on, and the only time we had any issue was when we went against their advice and took the earrings out for a while before they were healed (learned our lesson!) The staff was great, communicated to my daughter in a mature and respectful fashion, and take consent very seriously. The only thing they could improve upon is to make the total cost more transparent. The basic piercing included only a very basic metal stud, but the prices of the other jewelry aren't listed and the staff have to look up each one for you--and prices varied a lot. Also, the fronts and backs are sold as separate pieces which makes it hard to understand costs depending on what you need. It was not immediately clear whether the booking deposit was an actual deposit or a fee. Finally, you have to go back after a few weeks to get the posts shortened, which is an extra cost. All in all, we spent about $130 plus tip for the initial piercing (with upgraded jewelry) and another $30 or so (plus tip) for the appt to shorten the posts. With tips, we were around $200 total. Totally worth it! I just wish it was more clear what the upfront cost would be. read more

Love this place and absolutely wouldn't go anywhere else now. Got my septum pierced back in March at Adorn and the piercer was amazing (Alex??) I think...but the person that assisted me at the counter was pretty rude and misleading about prices which I didn't realize until I booked an appt and waited 2 hours in the area to go back in, so I wasn't keen on going back there for new jewelry- despite it being high quality and very pretty, the cost for a gold septum ring that I liked was anywhere from $350-600 and just not in my budget. I shopped around for a while and someone recommended Paramount, they were closed on my days off so I ordered off the website which claimed the jewelry was real metal and gold plated and they had a massive sale going on. I changed it at home with the assistance of my fiancé and was happy with it initially...but within a week my nose was tender to the touch and extremely irritated...I made due for about a month before I noticed the oxidation on the jewelry and realized the gold was chipping off...so I made an appt with Iris. Emerley (I believe, I'm sorry!) was the name of the person who helped me out up front, they were insanely friendly, knowledgeable about the jewelry and pricing and let me annoyingly ask for the pricing on like 10 pieces of jewelry before I settled on one. Jack was the piercer who changed it out, they were so insanely nice and informative and even went so far as to write down options for places I could purchase more jewelry at a lower cost, but high quality and included my ideal size on the note Not only that, but Jack was super polite in informing me of what they were doing and very patient considering how inflamed my nose was. Because of the experience, my fiancé booked an appt for later that day and we went in to get his nostril pierced. Again, super patient...detail oriented and helpful in choosing jewelry and walking us through the process and care instructions as it was his first piercing. After tip, my total with a gold lace style septum ring came out to $230 and his with a CZ stud came out to about $90. Totally worth it! It's been 6 days and it feels like I've had the piercing forever, zero pain or irritation. Will definitely recommend them and return for future piercings. I have not yelped in years, but my experience at Iris was so positive I had to get on here. I went in to repierce an earlobe piercing that had closed up. Otto took care of me and was extremely strategic in checking my existing piercing to see if it was viable to repierce. Rather than just repiercing (which would have been more costly), Otto revived my existing piercing, walked me through a (relatively painless!) procedure, and gave me lots of great tips for ensuring my piercing didn't close up again. They asked if I planned to travel in the next few months, and provided me with great resources local to the destination I would be going to in case I needed treatment. Was it more expensive than a mall piercing stand? Yes, but getting a cheap mall piercing was what landed me back at Iris anyway. So happy with my experience and will definitely be back for new fronts for my flat-back earrings! read more

Best piercing studio I've ever been to hands down! I highly recommend saving a little more and going here. The experience was so simple and not only is the jewelry gorgeous but it's all insured! I had a cartilage piecing I got somewhere else for $30 and at IRIS I got a conch down and it was $180... which is SO much more money, but honestly for the recovery time I had it's SO worth it. The recovery time was so easy, I had no issues and could sleep on it pretty quickly. My cartilage was another story... I was also informed that I can re-pierce with the jewelry I bought there and I thought that was really awesome. Overall, the jewelry is worth the prices, the employees there are informed and care about their customers. I went back to get another cartilage piecing and was told to wait until my other heals so my body isn't trying to heal too many things. I was pleasantly surprised when I told Jack that I wanted a rook but they checked the anatomy of my ear and directed me to another piercing due to the shape of my ear. I always love when someone would rather feel comfortable piercing me knowing that it's safe for my body! I got my septum pierced with Jack!! They literally were AMAZING. I was extremely anxious and a bit scared of the process due to horror stories and I did not know what to expect. The piercings they have on display are super cute! I ended up getting a cute yellow gold ring for my first piercing!
