Spent so much money on three different piercings here and customer jewelry - over $500. I asked for one of the piercing to be changed because the placement of it was not what I asked for. I got three piercings at once and we were very thorough on the first two but then the third placement was marked but not reviewed as we went back and forth on the first two piercing placements and she didn't check if I liked the marking of the third before piercing. I asked them to change the third piercing at the follow up appointment they scheduled less than 2 weeks later and they said it would be an additional $70 minimum to change the placement an need to buy new jewelry for it. Disappointed after I spent over $500 there and was rushed through it. I've gotten my nose and scapha pierced here and I have no complaints different piercers all full of knowledge and skill.

I've now gotten two tattoos from this shop, Ian McVay specifically, and I couldn't recommend anyplace more highly. This shop is small without feeling cramped, very clean and with beautiful art on the walls, including flash. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly, and just as welcoming and inclusive as their website suggests. The systems are new and convenient, paying is always very quick and easy. My experiences with Ian specifically were wonderful. His gentle yet enthusiastic demeanor makes the entire tattoo process less daunting for someone like me who worries incessantly. My emails were always read and replied to quickly, and his patience in the design process was admirable. He made sure that I was heard, but also made sure that the tattoos I would be getting would look nice and age well considering my lack of experience with the art form. He was great at understanding what I wanted, but the artistry he offers is far beyond anything I could draw up myself. He tweaked, added, and redrew elements for me, and the final tattoos were always more beautiful, dynamic, and thoughtful than I imagined them. During each of my tattoos he kept lively conversation, which helped me personally to manage the pain. He has a light and careful hand, and while he works diligently to create the best tattoo he also listens and makes sure that I'm alright throughout the process. Tattoos are not easy to get or to give, but I can't imagine having a better experience. I recommend him and his shop to people I know and work with, and highly recommend it to anyone looking to get a tattoo, especially if they like an illustrative style that Ian is spectacular at (the style I had done). His portfolios speak for itself. While I have not been tattooed by Andy, the other artist at this shop, his portfolio is also full of great work, and he's a very funny and lively person. Overall, my experience with the employees was good. They were all very friendly. I went in for a nose piercing, and picked out jewelry that was a little more expensive because I wanted it to last. What I didn't know, (and no one in the shop bothered to tell me until AFTER we were done) is that I would need to switch it out in a month for something else. I feel like that is something a good shop would tell you BEFORE you spend $70 on the jewelry. I sucked it up because I was really excited to have finally gotten my nose pierced. However, it has only been about a month and the jewelry I purchased has fallen apart! I had to overnight something off the internet to replace it with because the flat metal piece (I was TOLD it was solid gold!!) was just gone this morning. So now I feel really ripped off. read more

The whole studio is very clean and professional, and Xia was amazing with helping me with jewelry choices and telling me everything I needed to know They were VERY thorough in the preparation and sterilization process, and made sure I was totally comfortable the entire time. They were also able to do a last minute jewelry change for one of my healed piercings. I also really liked that they gave me a info card on my jewelry sizes/lengths and when to downsize into smaller jewelry. I could definitely tell that they know their stuff.
