Been coming here for 2 years. 2 eye exams and 3 frames with lenses purchased here. Exams are average compared to other optometrists. Purchased my 3rd pair new pair of eye glasses less than 3 months ago and the nose pads weren't assembled properly but been too busy to go back until one of the nose pads fell off. Went back to have it replaced, I was surprised they charged me $10 for it.. I've been to previous optometry offices where I've had my eye exams and eye wear purchased there and they would re-align and replace nose pads for no charge. These guys over here are cheap and stingy. I will not come back here. read more

Save your eyes! The badly fitted frames kept brushing my eyelids. I can't even adjust to the new prescription that the doctor made for me after my eye exam. I expected to take a few days to adjust to my new glasses, but it was months! Finally sick of the eye strain due to constant squinting while studying for an exam, I threw off these fancy new glasses and wore my old ones. Immediate relief! I saw their doctor because I've moved far away from my regular doctor (the excellent Lisa Lo). Bad idea! I don't mind her weird personality that others have mentioned but my eyes are too precious. I spent a ton of money on new lenses and frames that are useless now. Thank God I still have my old glasses! read more

Horrible experience. Should have read the reviews before going, but the place was close to my home, and I thought "what can go wrong with a simple exam to get my contact lenses prescription?". Turns out, many things. I went through the regular vision exam, where they checked my eyes on a few machines. No one explained what exactly we were doing, and the doctor didn't bother to share the results. When I asked about the results, she said "it's good, you passed". What kind of comment is that from a doctor? Anyway, my goal was to get a new prescription for the contact lenses, so I didn't worry too much about that response. But then I learned that the lense fitting exam was $80. And they didn't have contact lenses that I used to wear. I was ok with other contacts and asked twine questions about the selection they had. The doctor's response was that the brand they have is a better brand than the one I use. That's it! I asked again about the material, and other details (I've been using contact lenses for 15 years, and know how many different types there are), but the doctor just repeated that the brand was better. After that, I didn't feel I trust her as a professional to select the lenses for me. Waste of time, don't recommend going. I didn't get what I came for, and spent money on an eye exam the results of which were never shared with me. read more

As much as I want to like this place, I just don't. Half the staff including the doctors are great but the other half are just rude and unfriendly. Last time I ordered my glasses here, I called on day 5 to see if they were ready yet because I needed them to drive on a road trip I had planned, and after looking they found out they were ready (yet they didn't notify me?) Right now I'm on day 9 waiting for my latest pair and they're still not ready yet. I was a new patient and called my provider for insurance and list of Dr's to call.well this Iris vision or whatever there name is was the first on list I just wanted a hassle free experience well I was not going to get that from these guys I was greeted by the rudest unprofessional person you hope to never meet she asked for my full ss#(who asks for that)I gave her my medical# and full ss#(when she insisted I wasnt covered) then she said sorry still not covered bye and hung up on me. The worst eye exam experience ever! The female eye doctor was rude and impatient. She did not introduce herself or explain the procedure. In addition, she did not respond professionally when I asked her questions. The receptionist was not helpful either and I had to inquire every step myself. I would not recommend Iris! read more

I love this place. I've been going here for two years and have always received great service and help picking out my new glasses. The doctors were always very thorough, yet quick. Great place to go if you are just going for an appointment or if you are looking for a great pair of frames. I went in looking for a new pair or frames and loved that they checked in with me but did not do the hard press sales for frames that turned me off from my previous vision store. After having such great service with finding frames, checking out frames and giving advice on the best way to use our insurance benefits. My husband had his annual vision appointment there and was impressed by their service now we have both changed over to this office. Overall great experience and highly recommended! read more

After some distressing experiences with the "chain" stores I thought I'd give Iris a whirl. Their eye exams have always been spot on. Their selection is fantastic; so many great choices and styles...I wished that I could have selected several different styles; but alas they are a tad expensive; so I opted for the another rimless/titanium frame. They were very accomodating to mix and match the contour of one glass style to another frame. But the measure is how good does one see. I have to say it was the best perscription that I ever had filled. What's more I didn't need adjustments and tweaks to make the frame fit; and saying that, I should add another star. So save yourself the hassel of a mall, and visit Iris Vision. Style, selection and service and professionalism...a pleasant surprise. read more

Dr. Tran is very helpful and answered all my questions, she explains it as if I was retarded which makes us non Dr's understand all of our options. I don't know what had happened to others, but to me it was nice impression. We went to Rivermark Plaza for lunch, suddenly my eyes caught something and I felt so terrible. The doctor was quite busy but willing to see me right away. Problem solved, fast service and the doctor talked professionally. Staff was very helpful, I also had them checked my glasses because it didn't fit well. They fixed the nose pads , also clean it like new ! Beside, this is the nicest optometry I ever been to. Have been wearing glasses snce I was 8. Got Lasik about 10 years ago but my eyes have been going haywire the last few years. Went in for an appointment a few days ago and basically when letting the doctor know that a lot of the lenses looked "the same" she rudely asked "what do you mean?" I only went there because it was convenient. The last two times I visited were OK but nothing more than that. Never going back there. Front staff was nice and friendly, and also friendly over the phone, so a star for that. read more

Iris Vision accommodated my request for a same day eye exam - on a Saturday! How great is that! They fit me in their schedule and were right on time. Their entire staff was very friendly, and might I add, quite stylish and on point! Dr. Tran really is something special. She really took time to explain my eye exam results and then also thoroughly explained options to me for wearing contacts. Previously I was essentially told I can never wear contacts again but I found out that I can but I would/may need to wear reading glasses. Dr. Tran also took great care in asking me if I had any more questions. She really is personable and has a really great professional demeanor. I'm so happy I've found my new Dr. for my eyes!!! I'm sad to say that after being a client of Iris Vision for 10+ years, I am never coming back. It's always comforting going to a Dr that you've seen for years and knows your history. My most recent experience was the last straw. I was fitted for contacts here and loved them. I also had eye glasses made with the same prescription but for some reason, I just could not see clearly when I'd put them on. Even my ophthalmologist recommended I take it back and have Iris fix it. When I went back, they were very reluctant in helping me fix the glasses I paid about $600 (Juicy Couture) for. The Dr rechecked my eyes but she was very irritated and impatient with me... as if I was lying about not being able to see with that prescription. She basically told me that she couldn't help me. Now I'm stuck with a pair of glasses that are completely useless. So I had to resort to wearing my old glasses. Which was fine with me because these were my favorite anyway (I get a new pair every year, roughly). I spent about $800 on these pretty Gucci eye glasses which broke one day. I took it into Iris in hopes they can help me fix it. They told me that they couldn't but offered to sell me a new frame and put the lens in for me. :-/ really? I walked out and never went back. So, I'm wearing a pair of glasses that are three prescriptions old since I couldn't see out of the previous one and the other broke. Wonderful. I'll give them two stars for the many years of good service but to sit there and treat a long-time customer like that is enough for me to walk away. I don't spend money on expensive things except for my eyes. All monies I've spent was all out of pocket even tho I do have vsp. Even tho I can go to a cheaper place, I continued to come here for the sole reason of them knowing me. I've even brought my family here as well. We are going elsewhere. Too bad. read more

She does thorough examinations and takes time to review exam results, as well as discuss issues and concerns. The entire staff at Iris Vision is very friendly and helpful. **A share-worthy experience from my last trip to Iris Vision: As I was waiting to see the doctor, a lady walked in. She lives in another state and was here visiting family. She was not a patient of Dr. Tran's, nor did she have an appointment. This lady had a bit of an "emergency" (I'm not sure if it was with her glasses or contacts) and needed to see an eye doctor. They saw her immediately. And though her "appointment" lasted 10 minutes, they did not charge her for it. The lady was amazed (as was I) and so very thankful. I am writing about vision exam. I can't believe this place gets a 5 star for eye exam Doctor and staff were impatient and the doctor was rude as well. Their exam was quick and without patience. I asked for verification (because the results were surprising and were obtained quickly), doctor mentioned she will not do it. Explanations were impatient and were given reluctantly. I know I am astigmatic, she did not mention it. I have never had such a bad eye exam. My exam showed that I have poor color vision. She did not mention it to me until I asked about it. Her expression was: "you are colorblind" with some contempt She mentioned that I have an issue with my eye with a lot of worries and referred me to a specialist. I was very suspicious of this assessment. This was the only part that she explained to me. I wasted my insurance eye exam. I don't trust the exam. read more

I had a really bad experience there. I made a pair of glasses. But it didn't fit well. I asked to check it again. They didn't want to recheck a pair of glasses and see Doctor one more time. Doctor was also rude. She shouted me, - "You don't listen to me." many times during the eye exam. I usually go to the another eye doctor and she can re-check it if I am not satisfied. also eye insurance can cover the fee. At least, she is nice to me. I don't go iris vision any more. read more

I went to Iris Vision because it is close to my house. Dr Tran is knowledageable but one of the rudest people I have met. She refuses to listen and I dont know if it was because I am Asian as well but it was very unprofessional of her to behave the way she did. She has a major attitude and is always like I dont know what am talking about. I went for prescription of my contact lenses only and she said she wouldnt give it until I had my fitting done from her. Then I look at the statement and they have charged 60$. That means my insurance is already used up and I cannot use it until the next year. At the end of the day no matter how smart you are , if you treat your patients like crap, you are not fit to be in the profession. Please DONOT go to Iris Vision ever. I feel sorry that they will lose loyal customers just due to the attitude. read more
