Yelp to the rescue once again! Was looking for an Italian spot and this place was a nice gem to find. Intimate and about 10 min from Minerals Hotel. Service was very nice. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it took awhile to get the check. However everything else was great! Started with a yummy pomegranate martini - so refreshing! Appetizers: Zucchini blossoms were yummy and came with 4 to share. Calamari was delicious. Perfect crunch and marinara sauce was tasty. Entrees: We decided to share family style: Spaghetti and meatballs - came with 3 meatballs which were very tasty and the sauce was delicious Tortellini in cream sauce - this was ok a bit too cheesy. Desserts: Crème Brûlée - Fantastic! Loved every scoop! Bread pudding with cranberries was another fantastic choice! Peanut butter snickers pie - this was not what I expected. It was just ok. I ordered the chopped antipasto salad. It was a very poor excuse for a salad. There was maybe MAYBE one tiny portion of a pepper chopped up. I think there were only about 4 of the chopped pieces of pepper on it. It also came to me without any meat on it. I asked the waitress, who was very nice, isn't this supposed to come with meat? I've eaten at Acquaviva a few times, and always enjoyed it, ordering spaghetti and meatballs each time. Yes, of course, I should try something different, right? The first time, the meatballs were excellent and the pasta was juicy, the second time, not so much, but this last time, the pasta was dry with not enough sauce, and the meatballs were terrible; loaded with bread and virtually tasteless. I ate half of my portion and left with the rest, knowing I'd never finish it. I could have sent it back and asked for more sauce, but there's no excuse for the terrible meatballs, and I didn't feel like making a scene. At $25, I expected more. I probably won't be going back to this restaurant. Apulia in Franklin is much better. I can always make better meatballs at home anyway. read more

Have enjoyed dinner at the bar twice. Both times, my husband & I have enjoyed our meals immensely. Service is always good & we love the food. On this particular night we shared a tricolor salad which was very large & excellent. Both times we have been here we have both gotten the same dishes as they are soooo good. I got the bolognese which has some chili's in it to make it spicy & unique - I love it. My husband loves the pappardelle. We got tiramisu for dessert & a nice large double espresso. Prices are reasonable. We would go more often if we lived closer but as it's a 43 minute drive, we can only go once in a while. Great place!!! This is our go-to Resturant in Sussex County. We have dined there 20-30 times and never had a bad meal. Service is pleasant and timely. I've had everything from the mussels, Linguine and clams, Pork chops, Fruita Del Mar. My wife normally orders a shrimp dish or lasagna. All good! read more

I absolutely love this place! Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the service is even better. All the staff is excellent and great with children, Gina is a gem. I love the space, most of the tables are set up in a way that gives you privacy. I never order pasta when I go out to dinner, until I tried Acquaviva's spaghetti and meatballs. first of all food was amazing ! My husband and I used to go there for years now. Although, its changed hands a million times but we stopped going bc the food stopped being fabulous. We decided to give it another try today on an early dinner surprise from my husband, and I have to say they changed chefs or something bc the food was a million times better then when we used to love it so hats off to you chef!!! Came here for dinner and it was great. The ambiance is nice. Service is good and food was great. We started with the burrata app. It was really good even though I could have done without the prosciutto but that's a personal preference. Then I had the honey salmon and my mom had the Dijon salmon. Out of the two dishes I preferred hers but they were both really good. Salmon was cooked perfectly. For dessert I had a cannoli and my mom had the NY style cheesecake. Both were amazing. While the food was cooked properly the service left a lot to be desired. We sat at the bar because we didn't want to wait for a half hour for a table. The bartenders lack of customer service was astonishing I asked for menu's he said don't you want to order a drink which yes I did, however I would have liked to decide on my menu choice so I could choose a drink that complemented my meal As far as dinner is concerned it was cooked properly and tasted very good however, if you advertise 1/2 a duck I expect a leg, a thigh, a breast and a wing. been here four times everything has always been good. I ordered the whole duck today it came out looked nice. I ate the leg and thigh first and was looking forward to the breast. im a trained chef and a butcher. Finally got a chance to try this place. The reviews are not exaggerated, this place is our new go to. Extremely friendly and very attentive staff. We had Shannon as our server and she is absolutely wonderful. We tried the fried calamari app. which was served crispy flavorful and hot. As a matter of fact all the food is served piping hot! The olive tapenade served with hot fresh Italian bread was delicious and a refreshing change than just butter. The food was excellent! I had the cajon swordfish special and let me tell you the flavors were spot on and cooked perfectly! My husband went for the Black Label pork chop and that was cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend it. The salad was really good with some kinda raspberry balsamic drizzle. I had the Spaghetti and meatballs my wife had the Salmon both were delicious The service was fantastic. We let it slip it was our anniversary and they surprised us and sang to us when they brought the dessert which was also delicious. Thanks so much. Drove by this restaurant a few days ago and had a feeling of deja vu. Like I had been here before or a certain familiarity with the place. I was later told by our waitress Alyssa that the place indeed has changed names a few times over the years, and the one I remembered was the Roadhouse. My wife and I decided that a road trip was necessary and we brought her parents with us. Reservations a must especially on a Friday night and weekends. We were early for our reservation but we're seated when we got there. Alyssa came to our table and took our drink orders and soon afterwards our meal order was taken. We started with two orders of Calamari appetizers that were delicious. The Calamari was light and crispy and just perfect. For the main course we ordered two Cod Livorno's, a Dijon Salmon and the Chicken Valdostana. I can honestly say that my In-Laws who could moonlight as food critics were ecstatic and raved about their Cod dishes. My wife was extremely happy with her Dijon Salmon, and I loved my chicken dish.
