We have gotten takeout several times and always enjoyed their food. Today we had a baby shower there and everything was perfect. First let me say, Tom was great throughout all the planning. He was very accommodating and patient with us. Today he allowed us to come in two hours before the shower so that we could decorate. His staff was very helpful and very professional throughout the day. All the food was, as expected, excellent. We had many positive comments from our guests. I am never returning, and NEVER RECOMMEND to anyone. The food was ehh, at best. Nothing was seasoned properly, and I have made better at home. I got a Burrata and Hot Oil Flatbread that even Barstool Prez would complain about more than Jacks. I will say that the calamari and Arepas were slightly above average. We ordered a brussels sprouts and let me tell you these were burnt on the outside and raw and inedible in the middle. We also ordered a burger and "matchstick fries." I have seen bigger double cheese burgers at McDonald's that don't cost $43. In addition to that both burger and fries wildly under seasoned and the fries came out colder than the refills on water we never got. Which brings me to my next point... THE SERVICE. Step one in their training handbook should be LEARN THE MENU. One person in my party asked the waitress how a bunch of items were cooked, because she has a food allergy. This waitress could not tell us whether something was fried or pan seared or what. She could tell us nothing about any items on the menu, from what is in it to how many came on a plate. The second item of training should be how to check on your tables. We sat their for an hour waiting for the second half of the food we ordered to show up to the table. Which we were entirely unimpressed by. We were visibly upset to everyone in the building but not one manager or owner could take the time to check in on us. It was not busy in the restaurant, we were one of 4 or 5 tables in the whole restaurant. When we told the waitress our concerns she could not even think of how to better our experience in any other way but to comp the brussels sprouts. When we looked for further help no other employee would even look us in our eyes. I have never felt so wildly disrespected by a place that overcharges for mediocre food that is clearly not fresh and I could do better at home. We attended an outdoor movie viewing event on 5/1. Our admission price included a $20.00 credit for food or beverage purchase from this restaurant which was located next to the viewing location. I ordered two food items about 15 minutes before the start of the movies and returned to my car to await them. The food items appeared 90 minutes later! No excuse, just a lame apology. And, it took two phone calls! The food was disappointing, to say the least. You may ask why I didn't return to the restaurant to get the food. The point is they had the obligation deliver the food in a timely manner, even more so as the restaurant wasn't that busy. I certainly didn't want to miss any viewing time too. Consistently love this restaurant. Menu is fresh, pasta even fresher since they make it in the back and specials are wonderful. Whether it is Wednesday night for Ramen made exactly how YOU want it, or Chicken and Waffle Thursdays or weekend Brunch, it is always delicious. The kitchen is small and large orders or paella can take some time, but tapas is meant to come out in phases so if you're worried about waiting, just order a small plate or two and that will keep you going until your large plate arrives. The signs were uncut grass in parking area, long wait before waitress came to ask if we wanted a drink and a high decibel level despite few tables being occupied. Every sound echoes in there. Bad acoustics. Hard to hear my guest. Bothered me but not my guest. Finally waitress came. Ordered drinks and Calamari. Took a while for Calamari but was very good. Entrees came after a long wait. I don't know that this place needs another great review, but here it is!!! Chef Tommy catered our son's rehearsal dinner on a farm in Pawling. Everyone was raving about the food!! We had paella, chicken & rice (my personal favorite), empanadas, arepas, asparagus, potatoes (check out the menu for descriptions) and several other delicious items. Tommy worked with me efficiently and reasonably with the pricing, the food was delivered hot and set up nicely.....couldn't complain if I tried. We ate here tonight based on all the positive reviews. Maybe we came on an off night, but man was our experience so much different! We waited 10+ minutes for our server to come over and when she did, she was very NOT friendly and seemed to have an attitude. The blonde woman who was pouring water, clearing dishes, etc was the complete opposite of our waitress, smiling, friendly and she hustled all night, kudos to her! We got the jerk wings, tacos, southern fried chicken sliders, pulpo flatbread and the beef and bacon jam sliders. We ordered too much and ended up bringing 2 of the 3 chicken sliders home and over half the wings. We didn't eat the chicken taco as it really lacked flavor (EVERYTHING needed salt). The flatbread was good IF they called it a chorizo flatbread. There were two miniscule pieces of octopus that I had to dig to find. For $14 I felt ripped off as I was expecting octopus and not just a flatbread with chorizo and cauliflower. They also put thin cut fries on it (description didn't say anything about that). The jerk wings were crispy and had good flavor but NO spice. Had you told me they were honey herbed wings I wouldn't have been surprised. Service was slow throughout the night and overall we were disappointed with our experience. I'm not sure if we'll end up going again as there are better tapas bars within the same driving distance for us. read more

First it's very well done. Glassware, plating decorations, very nicely put together. Service was excellent. Our waitress was personable, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We were here for lunch on a Saturday. Food. A little pricey. My wife and I love tapas and small plates. We frequent many. These small plate options ran the higher end. The flavors. The cooks were great. Everything pulled at the perfect moment. Flavors are where I had to knock them. Chipotle BBQ sauce too sweet. Chimicurri sauce no tang. I really wanted to like this place but it just fell short in so many different areas. First off, it took 15 minutes for our waitress to even come to our table after being seated, then another 30 for my drink to come and I had to ask about it twice before actually arriving at which point all the ice was melted. Second, my entire, saffron gnocchette, was an absolute joke. It was basically store bought pasta, way too AL dente, and the saffron parnesan cream was essential a watered down, jarred Alfredo and 3 of the tiniest most overcooked little pissant shrimps I've ever seen. I would've been embarrassed to put that on someone's table. I can't even remember what my wife got. But the kicker was when I asked if they could do a kids chicken tenders and fries(which I specifically called on the phone about prior to coming and they assured me they had) for my 3 year old, they brought out their $14 chicken appetizer and a $5 order of fries. I was furious. Who the hell pays $19 for chicken and fries for their 3 year old in PATTERSON NY. So for a couple and their toddler it came out to just over $100 with tip, for easily the worst dining experience I've had in the last decade. Side note. Dog in the kitchen/bar area! This was our first try at this restaurant. The decor is a little odd, I thought it was a Mexican restaurant at first. However, the appetizers we had at the bar were very good. All was well until someone walked out of the kitchen holding a dog! This person then proceeded to serve a drink while holding the dog. My dining partner and I were clearly uncomfortable, however that did not deter the employees at Iron and Wine. The dog was then passed to another employee, all were cuddling and loving on the dog. We didn't see anyone wash their hands. Eventually we paid and left, as the dog was sitting with a different person right next to us at the bar. I can overlook a lot of things, but having an animal in bar area and kitchen is too much. I even saw people handle the fruit garnishes after touching the dog. That was our final straw. read more

Went here for dinner last night- they had live music and a huge menu. Was honestly blown away. The octopus with potatoes was phenomenal- seasoned to perfection on each bites The perfectly ripe tomatoes with burrata was out of this world. We tried the tuna ceviche, mussels & chorizo, and the short rib bolognese (fresh pasta cooked absolutely perfectly). There is a huge mural of Anthony Bourdain above the bar- so it kind of foreshadowed we were in the right place. I'll definitely be back they were quite busy so the server wasn't super attentive but not an issue. Seemed like the chef would deliver food to tables too. My wife and I finally decided to try Iron & Wine after reading some good things online about their generous gluten conscious menu options. Although many restaurants claim to be aware, my wife's discomfort after the fact proves otherwise. THANKFULLY Iron & Wine does it right! We shared three different tapas including the Brussels sprouts, mixed grill and shrimp. All were delicious, with unique flavors and sauces on each. Nothing too heavy, but this is a great menu for trying different tastes with a group of people. Our drinks were well made (caipirinha and daiquiri) with fresh and bright taste. The owner Tommy was friendly and checked to make sure we were enjoying our food and that all was well. The waitress was courteous and attentive. This will be a pleasant addition to our dinner circuit and is especially nice to have something "different" in the area to enjoy different plates. read more

Worst dining experience of my life. We were barely acknowledged by the wait staff, 2 hours into the meal we had only received one of the 5 appetizers that were ordered. We ordered drinks that never appeared. When we finally said something, our dinner entrees came out one at a time, with about 5 to 10 minutes between each entree's arrival. Our appetizers finally arrived after our dinners, and they had obviously been left under a heat lamp for a very long time. Waitstaff seemed confused when we finally had enough and voiced our displeasure. After 2.5 hours we left frustrated and hungry. read more

This was a really nice surprise. We got there are 4 PM on a Friday afternoon just as happy hour was starting. Iron and Wine has a patio out back, looking out over the driving range, but not right on top of the tees. A large pergola covers the patio, and grapevines with real grapes encircle it. We called first to see if they had a patio because we wanted to take our dog with us. The owner answered the phone and said, "Sure, bring her along!". Food was excellent. We had Thai green curry clams, tuna tatami, fried oysters, and chicken flatbread. The only negative was the clams were just a tad too salty. But the view, the atmosphere and the demeanor of the chef/owner made up for it. Yes, they have wifi so you can upload your food porn pics. We look forward to returning! read more

The staff is super friendly and accommodating, the food is atrocious, inedible. I don't know who is leaving all these great reviews, but everything is soaked in grease (look at the photos). The paella is in a pan of oil soaked rice burned to the pan with a few mussels and shrimps. You can find better paella at Trader Joe's frozen food bin. Why would you have wine on the name of your restaurant and not have a wine list? Do not order any of the table wine or mixed drinks, you will be disappointed. Absolutely the best food in the area. Been going there since they opened and Tommy is an amazing chef and hard working person. My friends and I went there last night and one of my friends forgot his wallet and didn't realize till this morning. I was able contact the owner directly via Instagram and he not only responded to me but he met us at his restaurant and let us in to get the wallet 7 hours before his scheduled opening. If that isn't enough he is recovering an injury and can't even drive himself yet, but he had someone bring him there to help us. That is amazing in my book. We are customers for life and you should be too. The food is awesome and the portions are perfect and the food is healthy and will leave you feeling great. Arrived 5 minutes early for our reservation. Although there were only 4 tables occupied in the restaurant. There were an additional 3 high tips in the bar occupied and way too close for my liking. They were so close they could easily join in on others conversation. Everyone was running around like a chicken without a head, Finally a young man asked if he could help me. I said I had a reservation for 2. I was offered a high top 6 feet from the front door. Definitely a bar table not meant for dining more for drinks and snacking the table was 24" x 24". Each time the door opened a blast of cold air came in. Need I say more. The young man then went to a woman who said you will have to wait. In the restaurant there were approximately 6 open tables. When I inquired about the tables her response was they are for reservations. I then asked what was the point of my making a reservation when in all actuality it was not being honored. I noticed on the list there were a total of 5 reservations including mine. Do the math 6 (separated) tables. 5 total reservations seemed to me an easy solution was available. After waiting an additional 15 minutes. A person, I assume was the owner arrived in the dining room from who knows where and separated a large table to 2 that would each accommodate 4 people. Never said a word just bowed like he had just parted the Red Sea. Then said see how easy. to which I responded If it was that easy why did I need to stand at the door waiting for 15 minutes. He then said to me you can get out your are rude. My business is booming I don't need yours. I sat at the table waited for my daughter to arrive. we then left. Let me say my daughter is an extremely tolerant person, when I suggested Iron and Wine, she did say the owner was not a nice person and extremely rude and not accommodating at all. But we can give it a try. I worked in the restaurant/catering business for a good portion of my life. Once for my family and once at a local restaurant. I have never seen or experienced such rude , obnoxious behavior. We did end up having a fantastic dinner with I HIGHLY recommend SAURO'S TOWN SQUARE PIZZA CAFE. After driving by this place everyday for years, decided to give it a try after many recommendations. We were a party of 4, we all ordered an app or small plate to start, and also a small plate. They all came out 10 to 15 minutes apart. 2 of us order the mac and cheese, and 2 of us were "okay" with it. The other 2 apps were guacamole and chips, the guac was delicious, the chips were ok at best. They were so thin they would just crumble while dipping. Our other app was calamari. It came out looking like 2 big meatballs, but it was all the calamari stuck together. Well done and chewy. Our entrees of steak frites was very good, steaks cooked to perfection. They made this review a 3 star instead of a 2 star. braised short rib bolognese was the other entrees, they were good not great. The service was horrible. Very unfriendly waitress. Heard it was Margarita Monday and had to visit . Then, found it was 1/2 off of paellas day (Wow). So, started off with the margaritas and Pica Pollo appetizer. I found the margaritas to be a bit sour, but the alcohol was generous. Next time I'll just have to ask for it sweeter. The Pica pollo was a great appetizer. Tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Plus it came with a sweet dipping sauce . We both ordered the Paella which was delicious. Tender pieces of shrimp, chicken, mussels and chorizo which made a delicious combo served piping hot. Overall, a delicious meal. I thought our waitress was attentive although we could have used some water at the table, and there were some bugs attacking us (mosquitos?) which I thought might have gotten in an open window or door. It was a bit warm and I thought a/c might have been nice, but some people really enjoy fresh air. Other specials on different days . If you're in the area, definitely stop by. I usually like to support and elevate local businesses, but my experience here just couldn't be recommended. The positive: The decor and presentation were nice. The server was very friendly and cheerful. The reasons I won't be back: Don't put out an ambitious menu with prices to match if you are going to bait and switch your customers, treating them like idiots. I ordered an heirloom tomato dish, I clearly received, poor, cheap, mealy tomatoes that were definitely not heirloom. When I pointed this out, their excuse was that they weren't in season. Guess what? Then DON'T PUT THEM ON THE MENU. The same with a dish touting filet mignon and then switched to a much cheaper cut of meat, overcooked and hope we didn't notice again. When we pointed this out, and lack of satisfaction of how it was prepared, the server was polite about it, but the kitchen response was that was how that dish was prepared. Yikes. read more

I ordered the Small Mixed Paella to go. The flavors were all there, it came with 2 sauces, a garlic aioli and a roasted tomato, although I don't know why. I have never been served a sauce with Paella. Not in NY, Madrid, Salamanca, or Barcelona. The rice was wet though and slightly over cooked. The Shrimp (4 R 35s) were done, but just barely. 5 mussels, maybe 5 slices of not very spicy chorizo and a load of chicken bits. All in all, as a take out experience...NOT worth the $27.00 I paid for it. I will try eating in house, but my hopes are not very high. read more

Decided to order some take out tonight - disappointed is an understatement. We ordered the "Pulpo Flatbread", the "coconut crab cakes" and a "CHICKEN/cheese" quesadilla. Take a look at the pictures to see what we actually got...took one bite of the flatbread (that looks like it was just thrown into the box) and literally spit it out - can't even begin to describe the taste. The crab cakes were semi-decent and the quesadilla was as thin as a piece of paper with absolutely no chicken in it. What a total waste of $50. Definitely won't be going back. This is by far our favorite local restaurant. The staff is friendly and inviting and always accomodating. I have a son who has sensory issues accompanied with adhd and lack of impulse control and dietary restrictions - so as you can imagine it makes going to places, especially restaurants, very difficult. They have made us feel comfortable since day one. They accomodate all his requests, no matter how odd they may seem - nothing touching, no garnish, chicken sliders with buns on one plate chicken on another, no sauces, etc - theyve never batted an eye. Yes he does make a mess sometimes and spills his drinks and whatnot, theyve never gotten frustrated, they are always kind hearted and understanding... now as for the food... Im pretty sure we have tried everything on the menu, twice! Everything is always cooked to perfection and loaded with flavor. Personal faves are the cast iron steak and the paella, which are both more than enough for two people! All the pastas are homemade and you can certainly taste the difference! Lots of gluten free items. Another fun fact is they have secret off menu items! Sometimes we'll go in and just say "surprise us!" and Tommy never dissappoints! They have been so wonderful that my son is even starting to branch out and try new things because he "trusts Tommy" with his meals. The staff is always smiling and having a great time together, they make you feel like family. This has become my boyfriends go-to weekly guys night spot for late eats at the bar. Not to mention, when the weather is nice the back patio is the place to be, whats better than bottomless mimosas with your brunch or beautiful sunsets right on the driving range. Every time i come back, I still have that same feeling, rarely dropping the ball on anything, their drinks are perfect and the food is always something different than you can get anywhere else, they put a twist on everything in just the right places to make you say wow, I've never had this in this way and its amazing! The brussel spouts, you will not believe that my girlfriend hated brussel sprouts her entire life, one bite or these and shes hooked!
