I'm a regular lunchtime customer for the two/three years. I usually stop by for a couple of slices and a fountain drink. Up until about a two month or so the tab was just under $10 which is about the area average. Then the price last week went to $10.80, again fair given the rise in groceries and I expect restaurant supplies. This past Monday, same order, different price $13.80. I asked the counter guy who I've never seen before if that was right and he said that's the price. Unless I find other local pizza places had a mark increase in prices will have to find a new regular spot. read more

I came here for a bite to eat . Surprisingly, the Chicken Calzone was actually very good. I was hoping it was good because I thought the price of it was very expensive, it came out to be $18.00. Hands down my favorite Italian restaurant in Putnam county. The food is always delicious. The service is amazing , you are greeted with a warm smile & treated like family. The ambience is cozy, warm, inviting & a little taste of Italy. I've never had a bad meal. The seafood is always fresh. have dined here in back several times it was fine food good service good However I have gone there several times early on Saturday and Sunday for slices and drinks. I felt like i was at a day care 5 or 6 young children running around behind the pizza counter touching things as well as behind the bar , true kids will play so it obvious that these children belong to some of the people working there , I assume they were eating early both times its unprofessional and not safe to have young children playing tag and hide and seek at a place of business plus its annoying to patrons. Unless you're from the area or they know you, you will be treated like a third class citizen. I run a couple companies in Connecticut and would never treat people the way myself and my family were treated today. I have family who works at the hospital in town and was looking for a nice Italian restaurant close by was super excited to eat here from the moment we walked in,We felt out of place almost like we were bothering them. I'm a big guy and we simply asked if we could have a table instead of a booth we were told everything was reserved. At that time, there were only two other tables filled the place was empty .Another waitress came over and said that those tables weren't reserved until 7:45 PM at this time it was only 4 o'clock. my family ate and by the time we left, those tables were still empty. Seems crazy to me once again if you're not someone, they know you are not welcome there. read more

Nice place. Place has a dining area and two booths if you're looking for a quick bite. There is another room where there was a party or something going on. This was a Saturday, so it was crowded at times. We sat at the booths, so no comments on the in dining experience. The regular slices are good. The vodka slice is excellent. The garlic knots are on point. The menu selection is good. The fridge is okay. A somewhat decent selection, but not the deepest. Only staff interaction I had was with the guy in the front who took my order. As mentioned, the place got crowded at one point and it was near madness, but he was still attentive, friendly, and worked very well under pressure. Place is nice and one I'd easily return to. The pizza is really good here. I've been looking for a good pizza place in the area ever since sauros changed hands and this one hits the mark! After trying other places in the area, the only ones worth going back to is Prato and maybe Gappys. I think this place has great pizza. I'm extremely picky because I grew up in the pizza capital. Excellent dining experience for our party of 12...from drinks to appetizers, dinner and dessert! All of the food was delicious with generous portion sizes. We have been back a few times since the ownership change, not sure why everyone keeps referring to this for, in our opinion food and service are still very good, we have had no complaints. We started with the Calamari Scarpiello, it was excellent! How the Calamari still had some crisp after being in the sauce is beyond me. I had the Veal Marsala and my wife has the Chicken Prato, they were excellent as well, we chose the Penne pasta and it was al dente. Definitely a go to place. read more

To start I had the stuffed artichoke filled with breadcrumbs, garlic and sauce. Very large and fulfilling. My appetizer was followed with a house salad with various greens and vegetables. Then, my salad was followed by a large succulent pork chop covered in a light brown sauce and red & green peppers with a hint of heat coupled with a side of white rice. Absolutely tasteful and tender... A must try. The wait staff, servers and bus staff were one of the best and kindest group I have ever experienced. I love this place. We stop by often and the pizza is always crispy where it needs to be and decent size slices. We also stopped in to dine one night. Service and food was excellent. We took our friend couple here for watching our home while we were on vacation at their direction of a great place to have dinner. They are Italian, we are not. We do love Italian food though! We picked out a black olive loaf bread for the table which I had never experienced before and it was delectable. We did ask for butter as I'm not into the whole olive oil thing, too bitter for my taste no matter where I am just get me actual olives. We all had appetizers, entrees and desserts. Everything was spectacular. I was surprised when my chicken parm came out with ziti instead of spaghetti to which was my own mishap at not actually reading the menu and then ordered a side of spaghetti. I am a snob with my pasta despite being gluten intolerant and paying for it later in the night, each pasta has its place and ziti imo does not tread well with chicken parm. Just as fettuccini shall only be graced with Alfredo. Anyway let's roll some pictures. Would definitely go back. Had a wonderful dinner here Friday night with my lady and my parents. Wasn't quite as busy as I would expect for a Friday night but we're in the dog days of winter so I guess that's to blame. Started off with a few appetizers for the table - calamari, cold antipasto and a couple of stuffed avocados. If you've never had there stuffed avocados they are an absolute must have. For dinner both my lady and my mother had the eggplant rollatini. My pops had the lasagna and I had the penne vodka with grilled shrimps. All the entrees were delicious. My only critique would be that the food took a long time to come out. I don't know if there was a mishap in the kitchen because it wasn't that busy but you're willing to look past it when the food is as good as it is. All in all a 5/5 experience. A couple of double Makers Marks and I was feeling great on a Friday night. read more

Everytime we order a salad, they forget ingredients. It it's not the canberries or Pecans, it's the sliced egg on the Cobb Salad. Its everytime. I was a weekly customer and my recent experience left me feeling not only insulted, but disgusted. My usual salad had an enormous and live fly buzzing around the bottom. Absolutely filthy! When I called the manager to let him know, he not only rejected my reason for calling because "we don't have flies here this time of year", but then proceeded to hang up on me. One of the friendliest staff around and absolutely delicious meals, you must go try it and you will be sure you will keep going back. We went as a large party and were able to try several items. We started off with the homemade bread, both the olive and plain. The bread was so fresh and was better than any bakery I've had bread from. We also tried the fried calamari (great crisp) and the home made mozzarella. The mozzarella was better than mozzarella I had in Italy last year. Great pairing with the roasted veggies and light pesto sauce. For entrees we all had a variety of meals, mostly pasta dishes and the octopus, all very good. On my next trip back, we will be trying out the pizza. Portions are a great size, you will be sure to have some leftovers for the next day! read more

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE ONLINE...twice they messed up my order and were unable to resolve my issue . The first time they blamed the Slice app for the missing items in my order which had to be cancelled and reordered then wait and pay the slice app again . The second time I ordered my food it arrived cold and again missing items . I called the restaurant and the arrogant moron told me to come and pick up my missing item. I explained that it was there mistake and I paid for delivery . They then blamed the Door Dash app for the mistake . I explained the delivery app drivers ONLY PICK YP WHAT THEY PREPARE . so aside from cold food and incomplete order they wanted to cancel my order a pay twice the delivery app to get my order correct . Yes this is a big family run restaurant that makes you feel like you've been invited to their home for a special dinner.
