This is the calzone cut in half. You can see how flat it is compared to the other photos from other users? it was this flat before cutting.

What happened to Pete's???? They are not the same, I don't know what Jake/Owner did to the recipes but it's not good. I'm bummed bc my parents took me here growing up in the 90's and I've been here as an adult, and they're flat, lifeless, the chicken cheddar calzone had no mozzarella (it used to have some, I know cheddar is in it) like it used to, but either way it was like a liquid mess inside this time. Runny insides and flat outsides Another one bites the dust and I'm gutted. This isn't Pete's anymore. They have no volume, flat as a pancake. I wish I didn't have to say that. We've ordered a few since it was sold and notice the difference, these other photos seem like they're made for friends/reviewers. I'm not sure where these people are getting their calzones that are in the pictures here but that is what they used to look like, unlike the ones we've gotten the last several times which were flat as a pancake. I see that I'm not the only person who's noticed. I'm also wondering if the people posting these stellar reviews with these really well-made voluminous calzones are friends and family because none of the other calzones that we've gotten looked anything near that good. Maybe make them like that for everyone and the reviews will go up from 3.8 stars. but I don't see that the new owner seems to care. Staff is nice. I wish I took a pic before cutting it bc it was flat and sad.

    Chicken, garlic calzone.

Good food. Had the chicken calzone, good service, lots of seating. Ambiance is a typical pizza spot.

You must come here! We were looking for a quick spot to eat and came across this cute pizza place. We walked inside and were immediately greeted by friendly staff who were enthusiastic while taking our order. I also spotted an old Mrs. Pac-Man game towards the back . We ordered the small "Sharp Ave" pizza and were pleasantly surprised by the outcome! It was perfect for three people (mind you we weren't too hungry) and an awesome way to end lunch. I would 1000000% recommend coming here for a quick bite or even a big meal .

BYO Calzones are the way to go here, for selection and price point. They were good on this visit. Salad was decent, as well. I do prefer their location on NW Blvd, where your meal is not being made by Gonzaga kids (it's been hit or miss over the years here). Where my disappointment falls is squarely on their decor. The decision to gut a beautiful, divey ol' joint that had a ton of character, and turn it into another sterile, boring college campus yawn-fest has me bidding them a sad farewell. Granted, this redo may have happened years ago, but it has been awhile since our last visit. Change for the sake of change is not always a good thing...

Pete's was the first place I ordered during quarantine .. it was a long time back, just when the quarantine started, and forgot to write :D Got 2 calzones .. a roasted garlic chicken and veggie gourmet. The chicken one was really nice .. to be honest .. a full calzone is too much of a meal .. I mean very decent size. The veggie one could have done with a bit more oomph .. like may be some seasoning or the pesto with a bit more punch .. it was still nice. And they make it fresh so give some time for your order to be ready .. it's all good :)

This is the first time I've ever had a calzone! My kids said I'm spoiled now cuz this will be the best one I've ever had. So I'm not sure if other calzones have braids and are round like pot pies. I had a pepperoni, sausage and olive lite. Which is a smaller size. I couldn't finish it, I got so full so I can't imagine how big the full size would be. It was yummy. We were the only ones in there cuz it was Sunday at 3:00. We were walking through Gonzaga university and needed a late lunch. It takes 20 minutes for them to make and bake but we didn't mind the wait. Would recommend eating here if you are in the area.

Parking is street parking only, and it gets tight once the restaurant gets busy. The atmosphere started out quiet but quickly turned lively as the night went on. The space feels clean, cozy, and homey, a good mix of casual and upscale without feeling stuffy. Service was excellent. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was friendly, professional, and perfectly timed, attentive without hovering or rushing us. For food, I ordered the Brussels sprouts with jalapeno, ham, and parmesan, also had the butternut squash agnolotti with sage butter. The agnolotti was well made and rich, though a touch on the sweet side for my taste. The Brussels sprouts were fine, but the mild jalapenos caught me off guard. My friend had the chicory salad and really enjoyed it. In hindsight, I wished I had gone with something a little lighter too. Overall, it was a good meal with warm service and a comfortable atmosphere. I would go back, but next time I would explore another item on the menu.

It's time for our annual trip to Spokane for my wife's immersion and if you follow my reviews at…read moreall, you know that my job on vacation is to coordinate the food. This evening we decided we would go to Sorella. A gorgeous photo of their focaccia brought us in. Since finishing chemo and radiation for my breast cancer, food has been an interesting experience for me, so when I want something, I go for it immediately. I will note, if you're interested in trying Sorella, BOOK A TABLE! We were able to snag seats at the bar, but even on a Tuesday, this place is in demand, and after enjoying our meal, I can see why. When we walked in, we were stunned. Beyond the natural light flooding into the roo,m there were gorgeous deep teal walls with a gallery wall and gold accents. The bar was adorned with gorgeous counter tops that had low lights, and a mix of velvety chairs gave it a soft luxe feel. The aroma of the food was lightly sprinkled throughout, and the décor were simply stunning. It would be a great place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, date night or just a casual moment with friends. A full menu is available at the bar and the staff was incredibly attentive - more details on our experience are below, after the food review. Now let's talk about what we ordered. We got the Focaccia (of course), Arancini, Dante's meatballs, the Cesare, the Limone and a Pasta Speciale. Focaccia - 10/10 I love when food tastes as good as it looks. The focaccia melted in my mouth and carried so much flavor on its own. The whipped brown butter was such an excellent addition and truly a masterpiece to add to it. I could have easily ordered two more (and I should have). Arancini - My rating 7/10, My wife's rating 9/10 The presentation was beautiful on this dish. My rating centers around my taste buds not aligning with the flavor profile, and not really knowing what to expect. I find myself preferring a stronger, almost cheesy flavor now, and this was a bit more subtle. My wife, however, fully enjoyed them and loved the flavor they carried even without the sauce. Dante's Meatballs 10/10 Spectacular, give me 12! These were so delicious, the meat was so flavorful and the sauce, WHEW the sauce was delicious. Yes, we did dip the focaccia in the sauce. Cesare - 10/10 I love a good salad, and Caesar is my favorite. At other restaurants, I find myself wanting more dressing or more flavor ,and I often feel like pieces of the salad are missed when preparing. This salad was dressed from end to end. We squeezed the lemon on top, and it sealed the deal. Every bite was fresh and had a slight crunch and crisp that was exactly what we were looking for. Limone - 10/10 When we looked at the menu, my wife glanced over and immediately knew what I was ordering, and after my first bite, I was so glad that I did. The execution of this dish was perfect. The noodles were thick and almost creamy alongside the butter, and there was the perfect balance with the parmigiana reggiano. When I order it again (because we will be back), I will definitely add prawns. Pasta Speciale - 8/10 I meant to snap a photo of the menu, but this was on the special menu. There were prawns, mornay, garlic, arugula and a few other things that I am forgetting. The prawns were incredibly fresh, as were the noodles, and the flavors blended very nicely in this dish. Lemonade - 10/10 The lemonade was delicious! I don't know that I've mentioned this on any of my reviews before, but I love lemonade and order it with every meal outside of breakfast. This lemonade was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. Limoncello - 10/10 We shared two of the housemade limoncello shots to go as we were checking out, and I wish I had recorded our reaction. The execution of the flavor was perfect, and it definitely packed a punch! Our server/bartender was Mary Katherine, and beyond being the sweetest, she was also incredibly knowledgable of the menu. As luck would have it, we ended up sitting next to the owner's family and got to chat with her amazing Mother throughout the night (who was kind enough to let her try some of her delicious lasagna) and ended up meeting the owner. Lauren, the owner, took a pause to talk to us, and it was so evident that she is truly such a brilliant and sweet soul. She radiates, and who she is as a person aligns exactly with how Sorella feels: ethereal. Overall, we had an amazing experience, from the ambiance to the service, the conversation at the bar, and the delicious food. We cannot wait to try Fratello's, the sandwich shop also owned by Lauren, this week.

Which normally would be cozy, but I wanted to feel less intimate with my neighbors on a date night with my husband. The service was fine. There when we needed, but didn't hover. The food: from the very thing I'd heard and how busy this place seems to be I expected perfection. I anticipated being blown away. Unfortunately, I wasn't. In my opinion it was just okay. The lasagna my husband got was okay, but pretty typical. The steak with the yellow chimichurri that I got was not good at all. My steak didn't have a lot of flavor on its own and I did not like the Chimichurri at all. It was quite the bummer. I'm glad we finally gave it a try. It was okay, but I can't say I'm in a rush to go back.

I felt as if our server should have told us immediately that this was a shared option, but even then to make every person pay $57 is nuts for the portion of food that you receive. We are content creator, so we happen to record every dish that we received. ( the leisurely) First thing they brought out was roasted nuts and marinated olives. (6/10). Some of the olives were hard, but the roasted nuts were pretty good. 2. My wife is allergic to shrimp so they were gonna bring out the grilled ponds but instead the chef decided to bring out brussels sprouts. (2/10). It was awful. I almost gagged legitimately, and my wife felt the same, the brussels sprouts also had a foul smell to them as if they were spoiled. - it was paired with the winter salad. In my opinion, that was the second best thing that they brought out. It was very rich in flavor, colorful as well. 3. They then brought out some pasta. Tagliatelle Pasta. This is the best thing that they brought out. The noodles were fresh and the meat choice ( roast) paired very well and it was mildly flavorful, enough to swing both ways but we'd say it swung in the right direction. I'd give it 8.5/10. 4. They then brought out steelhead trout with couscous and cauliflower with roasted carrots. - I think the audacity to give two full grown adults. A 1/3 portion of fish is quite literally disrespectful. It was so disrespectful until it just made me want to leave even more than I did whenever they brought out the brussels sprouts. The piece of fish itself was not seasoned, but it happened to pair slightly with the couscous and whatever sauce. It was quinoa actually.. (6.5/10) flavor wise. I hate really complaining about food, but this was so underwhelming.. that I may have contested the bill if my baby didn't poop out of his clothes during the visit. I will likely update this review with all of the photos once we upload the video just so everyone get an idea. ---- Overall, we would've been much happier, ordering individual dishes off the menu. I don't want to shit all over this place because I do believe it has potential, but I would not advise anyone to do the leisurely. The couple behind us actually didn't eat any of their food either and they apparently chose the same option and she was very upset so I'm glad that we weren't the only ones. I don't think we will return back to this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either.

The pasta and sauce was good enough that I was looking for specific tastes so I could recreate it, that's what I hope for in a restaurant! Our waitress was great. Friendly, patient, and willing to roll with my nonsense... which is saying something. I had a free birthday entrée (buy one, get one free), promptly ordered something that wasn't on the birthday menu, realized my mistake, and pivoted back to my usual Mizithra Cheese & Browned Butter.
