Side Soup NE Clam Chowder $6.49
    Kristin J.

This restuarant was super close to the hotel my husband and I were staying in, so that is what brought us here. The menu has a lot of options and they serve breakfast all day. It seems like this is a go-to spot for truckers. We arrived a half hour before closing (we didn't know or we would have ordered our food to-go) and were seated right away. Our server was very pleasant and got us drinks and took our order quickly. I ordered a side of soup (New England Clam Chowder) and a Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Tater Tots. Everything was really tasty. My husband ordered a Grilled Chicken Sandwich with a side salad. His food looked and tasted great too. We ordered a Turkey Club Sandwich to go, which we ate the next day and it was really good! Plenty of parking. There is a convenience store attached to the restaurant that has some cool souvenirs in it.

Today, I ate at the Iron Skillet because we had a 2 for the price of one coupon from the Medford coupon booklet that was $20.00.The Iron Skillet is a rest stop mixed in with a bakery and restaurant all in one! The menu choice had a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options all within reasonable prices. I was going to choose a food from the menu, but decided on the buffet instead. You can't beat the price of $10.95 for an all you can eat lunch buffet. There is also the option to only eat what's on the salad bar for about $7.00. They had a variety of options steamed cabbage to ribs and the food was hot which is a plus! The beef brisket was my favorite, the meat was tender and had a smoky after taste which was DELICIOUS. I will come back to the Iron Skillet just for the beef brisket. Overall, the food was good and the service made the whole experience more enjoyable. Carol did an excellent job making sure everyone was taken care of. Thank you for the AWESOME hospitality Carol I will definitely be back.

I LOVE the chicken fried steak at Iron Skillet the texture is awesome, the seasoning is perfect, I love the breading its a semi thick breading but its flaky and perfect. You've got to eat here to know what I am talking about:-) they also have breakfast buffet, I think a lunch buffet, and they have a dinner buffet. Their buffets are pretty darn good and affordable. This is a truckers restraunt the food is awesome and comforting for those truckers that are making the long halls, there is a little shop, bathrooms, showers, and movie room, and video poker. This place has it all for he trucker and weary traveler :-)

    Ready to eat.

Sitting and waiting for meal. Read the reviews and it sounded good. Husband had tests so he has not eaten since early yesterday. Waitress not very friendly and order took a long time coming!! The food was good and plentiful. We were pleased about that. Waitress did not check on us once. Chatted lots with customers who appeared to be regulars. Cashier and other staff were very nice. Pastries look yummy!!! And are made right there. The cost was reasonable and great for the quantity. Debatable as if we will return.

Well the first thing I have to say about this place is good food food and Amazon friendly people inside. It's definitely nice to be able to go from sitting in a truck all day long and stopping here. First choice stop every night in OR when we go through. So to all of us Pokemon players!!!! This is a hot spot!!!! No there isn't a gym sadly I know and there isn't a pokestop. But I'm telling M u my phone does not stop going off with pokemon. We normally get here around 4-5 we go in get replaced and eat about 6 and were sitting down in Iron Skillet while we're eating and afterwards just catching Pokemon left and right. New ones pop up I've never caught. If u stop here at night it's possible u could get a ninetales. They sadly aren't 24 hours anymore tho :/ they close at 11 pm But seriously come by come eat have some good food. Catch some Pokemon. And meet some really nice people!

Honestly, this place is overpriced if you miss the dinner buffet. They are open 24/7, so not many other choices if you are trying to eat dinner around 1am :/ The food is not much better quality than something frozen that you would microwave at your house. It tasted much better to me because I had spent the day at Crater Lake and hadn't ate anything all day. If there are other places open, you probably have better options.

Truck stop food. About as cheap and nasty as it gets. Often the food here is scary! Beware!

I made that assumption because it's on the grounds of the Centennial Golf Club, but learned this morning that it is open to the public, so here's the review. The restaurant is attached to the pro shop and bar in an attractive, commanding building overlooking the valley. There's an indoor dining area, but the place I like best is the covered patio overlooking the golf course w/ the mountains in the background. They serve breakfast, lunch and snacks and are probably open until about 4:00PM. The menu is varied, from oatmeal to omelets to hamburgers and hot dogs. Eggs Benedict are not on the menu but that's what we had this morning at our friends' special request and they were great, w/ a well balanced Hollandaise. I can't promise they'll make 'em for you, but it can't hurt to ask. The chef knows his way around the kitchen. He also makes what I understand is killer salsa, if that's something that interests you. This morning's (and there are different ones each day) was reported to be spicy and good. We'll be back.

What I remember most is how nice the place looked -- it has a fun mix of modern and rustic decor and very clean restrooms! My husband and I ordered the shareable mac and cheese along with two entrees, the Green Goddess salad and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with tater tots. The portion sizes were very generous. I appreciated that they gave us two small plates to split the mac and cheese, and by the time we got to our entrees, we were already getting a little full! For the salad, I really appreciated how well-seasoned and prepared the tofu was. The tofu had a nice light, crisp coating and was flavorful, and the salad had a nice mix of crunchy cucumbers and lettuce mixed with sliced grape tomatos, feta, and red onions. The salad was not over-dressed and made it easy to take home leftovers. My husband also enjoyed his sandwich, being the second time he has ordered it. The chicken is crispy and well-seasoned. I especially liked the tater tots -- no greasiness and just the right amount of salt. Our waitress was super sweet and kind checking up on us as well. Highly recommend and definitely a place I would come back to on our annual Medford family visits!

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a cozy little restaurant inside with a lot of cool pictures from the early 1900s. I wish I would have taken pictures of the decor but it was a long day of driving and I didn't think about it. All the food was really good. My husband had a French dip, my daughter got a cheeseburger, and I went with the chicken quesadilla. The avocado didn't work for me but being a California girl, I get it. My daughter's French fries were the absolute best restaurant fries I've had in a loooong time. My husband enjoyed a local beer and I went with my standard white Russian, which was nice and strong. They had a really interesting cocktail menu, but I wasn't feeling adventurous there. As for service, outstanding. Our server was so friendly, attentive, and helpful with all of our questions and requests. We'll definitely keep this place in mind for future road trips now that we will be driving though from time to time! I tried to add more pictures but they don't seem to be uploading ‍
