French toast and eggs and hashbrowns

We got a simple breakfast during a long road trip, the eggs and hashbrowns were pretty good, if I passed through again I would stop here again. The service was very quick. They have a clean restaurant.

Great service here. Awesome food at a reasonable price point. The pancakes are big and portions are great!

This was a place that was actually open at 6am on a Saturday in Grants Pass. Not too far off the freeway and I appreciated the healthy breakfast option!

Kids grilled cheese, biscuits & gravy and BLT

Looked for a roadtrip lunch spot and grateful for this gem. Portions were big and great value for ~$30 for kiddos' grilled cheese, biscuits and gravy and BLT with tater tots. Someone reviewed the biscuits as great and they did not disappoint!!! Even the children's grilled cheese impressed me. We couldn't get how quick the food was prepared and a table over commented the same. The waitress was fabulous and I loved the homey decor throughout the restaurant

This is a good old fashioned basic breakfast diner. The portions are filling, the service is fast, the food is made to order (all special requests done perfectly) in record time on a Sunday afternoon. The coffee is ok and plenty hot. No muss, no fuss. 3 egg all meat omelette was packed with bacon, sausage and diced ham and cheese. Substituted hash browns and toast and traded for 2 plate sized pancakes (no charge for substitution) =$16.95. Extra butter and a container of syrup was super convenient and an easy ask. Enough for leftovers to-go. 2 eggs, 1 bacon, 1 sausage link, comes with "home fries" and choice of toast = $10.95. Made exactly as ordered in record time. The home fries are just plain diced potatoes deep fried perfectly cooked (fully cooked, but not squishy in the middle). The sourdough could have almost been white bread, not sourdough tasting (just basic). House coffee is $3.50 with refills upon request. The coffee is just ok, not bad, but nothing special. Skip the coffee unless you really like coffee in the mornings. I would recommend this place for a hearty local breakfast, nothing fancy. I think people like their big cinnamon rolls, but they only had big ones. Some smaller ones to go would be handy for a road trip.

Once we were seated it took about 15 minutes before we were waited on but that was because it was so busy. I was told 5:30 is a better time as it's not as crowded. You're served complimentary hot rolls topped with flaky salt and creamery herb butter which were delicious. The food was excellent. Photos posted of everything we ordered. Beautiful view of the Rogue River so I would recommend sitting outside. Great 5 Star Restaurant in Grants Pass that is a delight for visitors or if you're celebrating a special occasion.

We began with a truly amazing cocktail: Smokin' Hibiscus Margarita. It was fantastic!!! My friend ordered the Dungeoness crab entrée. She totally enjoyed her crab but she was unable to cut her broccoli because it was so undercooked and the knife that she had was dull. I suggested she bite the broccolini but it was too tough to even do that. I ordered my very favorite which is their meat loaf. I had the same experience with my broccolini. Oddly both were a pale lime color, which I have never seen before but they were inedible. My greatest disappointment was in the meatloaf which was completely dry because it was overcooked to the point that the outside edges were burned. I should have sent it back but I had fasted all day because I wanted to enjoy it last night with my friend so I was actually too hungry to send it back and wait for a different plate to come out. Recommendation: The chef needs to check the plates before they are released from the kitchen to be brought to the customer. Overcooked, burnt meatloaf with undercooked vegetables is unacceptable. Despite this, I gave three stars because of the superb cocktails, my friend's Dungeness crab, and all the prior times when this past summer when the food was so delicious.

Ended up striking up a conversation with one of the employees, Blade, who was fantastic. We mentioned how much we admired the potted floral arrangements lining the patio, every detail felt so intentional and looked absolutely beautiful. Blade gave credit to one of the owners, Elvie Cartwright. Well Elvie, if you see this: you have an incredible green thumb and an artist's eye for beauty. Kudos. And excellent call on hiring wonderful staff like Blade.

Our seating was in the bar downstairs which was very busy and noisy which was ok for 2 of us unfortunately 2 of our party were deaf and that was an issue for visiting. Our dinners: clam linguine, small clams in butter wine sauce was good, lots of broth and noodles could have had more clams. Dinner salads were great, big, crisp and fresh. Hubby had the meatballs with whipped potatoes, not a big meal but very tasty. I often buy ribeye steaks at the Cartwright's market and they are wonderful. Cartwright's owns Taprock restaurant so I figured that's the steak they'd serve but no it was thin and tough like a top round steak, it was cooked med rare that I ordered. It wasn't cheap, won't order again. Margaritas were very good. Service was excellent and there was lots of hired help in all areas. Our waitress was attentive, personable and we enjoyed her service.
