This was a place that was actually open at 6am on a Saturday in Grants Pass. Not too far off the freeway and I appreciated the healthy breakfast option!

Looked for a roadtrip lunch spot and grateful for this gem. Portions were big and great value for ~$30 for kiddos' grilled cheese, biscuits and gravy and BLT with tater tots. Someone reviewed the biscuits as great and they did not disappoint!!! Even the children's grilled cheese impressed me. We couldn't get how quick the food was prepared and a table over commented the same. The waitress was fabulous and I loved the homey decor throughout the restaurant

Very comfy and friendly vibe, and comfort food for sure. We had biscuits and gravy, BLT with tater tots, and grilled cheese and fries for the kids. Biscuits were great, BLT very good, and kids enjoyed the grilled cheese and fries. We were stuffed so we didn't try dessert, but cinnamon rolls and pies looked tasty.

This is a good old fashioned basic breakfast diner. The portions are filling, the service is fast, the food is made to order (all special requests done perfectly) in record time on a Sunday afternoon. The coffee is ok and plenty hot. No muss, no fuss. 3 egg all meat omelette was packed with bacon, sausage and diced ham and cheese. Substituted hash browns and toast and traded for 2 plate sized pancakes (no charge for substitution) =$16.95. Extra butter and a container of syrup was super convenient and an easy ask. Enough for leftovers to-go. 2 eggs, 1 bacon, 1 sausage link, comes with "home fries" and choice of toast = $10.95. Made exactly as ordered in record time. The home fries are just plain diced potatoes deep fried perfectly cooked (fully cooked, but not squishy in the middle). The sourdough could have almost been white bread, not sourdough tasting (just basic). House coffee is $3.50 with refills upon request. The coffee is just ok, not bad, but nothing special. Skip the coffee unless you really like coffee in the mornings. I would recommend this place for a hearty local breakfast, nothing fancy. I think people like their big cinnamon rolls, but they only had big ones. Some smaller ones to go would be handy for a road trip.

Excellent service, even better food. The croissants, pies, and cinnamon rolls are homemade!

The cashier was nice and had good energy. I ordered a burger and my husband got the spicy chicken sandwich. The burger was pretty good, just a standard smash patty with a potato bun. There's a cool wood-fired oven for pizza, which was a fun process to watch. I ordered the patty melt, which is something I never order, but I was in a rush to decide & did one of those, "I'll have what he's having" things when my husband ordered his patty melt. We're big seltzer water people, so when we went to order a seltzer and the lady told us it was free and self-serve, I was elated. The food didn't take very long & it was tasty looking! The sandwich was cut in half with smashed burger meat overflowing past the bread. It was glorious. The part of the plate that wasn't dominated by melty goodness was filled with with well-seasoned and crisp homemade fries. I could smell how delicious everything was the moment the moment the plate was set down in front of me. Flavor & texture of all the things exceeded expectations. The patty melt had layers of crispy fried onions that made for a lovely and tasty first-bite surprise, & continued to bring joy with each subsequent bite. Every there was incredibly nice and friendly. Dining there was so easy and lovely. Would love to come back the next time we pass through!

I ordered the steak and eggs (medium rare, asked for it on the rarer side since you never know with steak), and it came out perfect -- great char on the outside, tender and juicy inside. In my opinion, it's the best savory crepe ever. I always customize mine by adding egg and avocado and it never misses. The atmosphere is what really makes this place special though. The owner, Gab, is always there making sure everything runs smoothly, and you can tell he genuinely cares. Him and his son Brandon take great care of their guests and make you feel like more than just a customer. Service can be a little slower at times, but honestly... give them grace. They're balancing a busy spot, connecting with locals, and creating a really welcoming vibe. It feels lived-in, not rushed -- and that's part of the charm. Nothing but love for this place. ‍

Our seating was in the bar downstairs which was very busy and noisy which was ok for 2 of us unfortunately 2 of our party were deaf and that was an issue for visiting. Our dinners: clam linguine, small clams in butter wine sauce was good, lots of broth and noodles could have had more clams. Dinner salads were great, big, crisp and fresh. Hubby had the meatballs with whipped potatoes, not a big meal but very tasty. I often buy ribeye steaks at the Cartwright's market and they are wonderful. Cartwright's owns Taprock restaurant so I figured that's the steak they'd serve but no it was thin and tough like a top round steak, it was cooked med rare that I ordered. The mahi mahi tacos were juicy and well-cooked, though warm or toasted tortillas would make them even better. It would be great to see more detail on the menu about local sourcing. As a visitor, that makes the experience feel even more special. Looking forward to stopping in again someday!
