I'm so happy I've found irons + anchors I needed a new salon since I moved to the area so I got my first haircut from the owner, Maggie, back in March. I was in love with the cut and style she did for me. She also was open to helping me make a decision on whether to go drastic with the style or not. I'm happy with the end result and her opinions! I just have to share how wonderful Irons and Anchors is! Maggie, the owner, has cut my ridiculously curly hair a few times and it's always the best cuts I've ever gotten. And now I finally decided to get my hair dyed with gray highlights and I was not sure it was a good idea. But Maggie completely understood what I wanted and made it work perfectly. My husband has been laughing at how many compliments my hair has gotten from total strangers. Someone even felt inspired to yell across the street at me, "I love your hair!" If you have curly hair, this salon understands how to bring out the best in your tresses. And on a side note, I don't love going to salons, but Maggie makes it a comfortable and easy experience. I can't thank these talented ladies enough! My wedding look was absolutely perfect! I literally cried happy tears all day and my makeup did not run even once! I mean, sob-crying too. They also did a super fantastic job of putting in my extensions and teasing my hair to make it look full (I've dealt with thinning hair from stress so my part was looking very thin but Jenna teased it and made it look super full and thick). My bridesmaid's hair came out beautifully and my MOH's makeup was flawless as well! They are super, super friendly too and we felt so welcome there and it really allowed me to enjoy my day. The whole salon is really beautiful and you can tell everyone has superb artistic ability. I highly recommend this fantastic salon. read more

This place is an absolute disappointment. After over 15 minutes, no one acknowledged my 13 year old or me. We even walked back to the work area and still not a single person looked our way. I cannot thank Maggie and her team at Irons & Anchors enough for the most AMAZING 1920's inspired wedding hair-do's for myself and my bridesmaids on my wedding day! Everyone looked and felt stunning. Having a very specific vision of fingerwaves for myself, and vintage inspired hair for my bridesmaids, it was very difficult for me to find a hair salon familiar with the technique. Maggie resolved all of my worries with her experience and skill. She was able to coordinate a hair trial on our only trip to NJ a few months before the wedding, and was able to actually set my curls the night before our wedding.
