The seasonal plum gin and tonic was not too sweet and the perfect twist on a classic! I wouldn't recommend the tempura fried brussel sprouts. They were fine, just nothing special. I freaking love Ironton. Love it -- have been three or four times in as many months. First of all, they're super dog friendly and have an absolutely massive patio. Harder to be outside during the winter but they do have tons of heaters and a fire pit or two, as well. Second, the food is very tasty. Hoping they'll open up Barrel Proof Provisions soon because I had the food once and it was incredible. Savory, American food with liquor-based sauces. In the interim, the pizza is pretty good, freshly baked with high quality toppings. Also enjoy the garlic knots. The drinks are absolutely delicious and this past winter, one of the drinks came with a cute little take-home mug. There are cards to play games and TVs inside with a fireplace/sitting area, as well. Some friends and I came in on a Friday around noon after seeing the other positive Yelp reviews. We were the only people there which seemed a little sus but maybe it was just too early. The inside has a bunch of long tables & a cool lounge, couch area. The outside patio area looked awesome if the weather would have been better. I was really impressed with the food and the drinks at Ironton. Not only did they have a bunch of beers and spirits but also some great signature cocktails. If you're a pickle fan, the pickle shotz are a must! The pizza was great. We had the honey bee and a pepperoni. The size was enough for 3-4 people, much bigger than we thought they would be. Overall it was a pretty good time. I do wish the bartender had been a bit more friendly though. It really seemed like she hated us even being there. read more

Loved everything about this place! Dog friendly patio, woman owned business, loved the mountain inspired industrial decor, and the DRINKS. We had the purple mountain majesty, which was a really good lavender flavored cocktail, and the Pina colada whiskey sour, both of which were top notch and complex, while letting the liquor shine. Everyone was friendly, and I loved the music choice. Seating inside was super comfortable. This place is great. The bartenders remember you and provide a welcoming vibe. Their pizza is really good and has a garlic crust- kinda like dominos but better. The hubs and I joined a friend for a birthday celebration the other weekend. The space itself was a highlight with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. The venue is large offering both indoor and outdoor seating. The large outdoor space has a fully tented/shaded portion under misters or more natural seating under tree shade. The outdoor space seems to stretch on and on. Behind a wall near what would appear to be the back there is an opening to the "backyard" a concrete pad with a stage and a bar setup. Beautiful venue for live music or comedy. I know they host a comedy show every Thursday and book amazing comedians so check it out! Now onto the food and drink. WOW. For a place who puts distillery at their top billing I wouldn't have expected such a delicious pizza. The Guston with its gouda and mozzerella topped off with cherry tomatoes, prosciutto and arugula delivered to your mouth on a pillowy pizza show. I also had the Thyme Heist, as I love a good pun. This is like the grown up margarita you need in your life. Gin, lime juice, thyme simple syrup and a garnish of mint make this thr perfect cocktail to sip in the summer in the city. I read many reviews on this place and some are not good reviews. This place was close to my hotel. I said why not. I walked down when it was raining. Outside was bare, some people inside. I arrived and viewed the drinks. I had what I'd call an old fashioned and a bourbon nest, how it allows me to taste the bourbon to see if I will like. Th bourbon was flavorful and my first Colorado bourbon. I ordered a Margarita wood oven pizza. The service was spot on. The ladies were super nice, provided me quick support. When you arrive, you use a QR code to scan to get the menu. The pizza was very good and went well with my drinks. Overall I was impressed with the place and the service. I have been to Ironton Distillery many times. Their mixed drinks, pizza, and salads have always been great! In fact, I've always ordered the same pizza every time I've been there because it's so good. However, the last time I went I had a different experience. We met there with friends from out of town. I was honestly embarrassed to bring them there. I raved about this place and we were all excited to go beforehand. We sat outside. There was only one server for about 8 tables so it took quiet awhile to get waters. I decided to just go inside and order drinks for our table. When I went inside the female behind the bar asked if I was sitting outside and turned me away to wait at the table till the serve could get to us. She was helping no one at the time and there was only one couple at the bar. We waited for even longer at our table. When we did get the chance to order our server was very cold and not personable at all. I don't know if it was because he was overwhelmed or what was going on, but he came off a little rude and abrupt. It made ordering and the moments after a little awkward at the table, leaving us feel like we pissed him off somehow. Fast forward to the salad. We got the salad and it was good, however, It was very very small compared to other times we had been there and not worth $17 IMO. The pizza came next and we were very disappointed. It was the same pizza we had ordered 4/5 other times and it was not even close to the same. No seasoning on the crust, almost no sauce, no flavor, and super cheesy. We were only able to eat about a slice a piece because of the cheese. Disappointed with this last visit to Ironton, embarrassed to have brought my friends there, and honestly not sure if we'd recommend or bring friends back anytime soon. Very hesitant. Addition comments in regards to the Mangers response: It's uncomfortable having to talk to a manger and send anything back when you're with company. I did not want to escalate the situation and make the whole evening a poor experience. So we did just suck it up and continued to act as if it was fine and ate the little we did and boxed the rest. Had my first visit here earlier this week and it was rather nice! I would warn anyone about the parking though- it does tend to fill up rather quickly and you need to get lucky to get a spot. (But isn't that the case for anywhere in this area?) Another note of advice- if you sit on the patio you won't get server service unless you order some food, which of course they'll deliver to. I'd say that part was a little unfortunate but if we'd sacrificed the views and scenery for inside, that would have probably been different. Overall, this place had really creative drinks and a good atmosphere - their food smelled divine but we stuck to just drinks this time. Definitely would come back for the pizza though from the looks and smells, it seemed great! If you want to get their "fried" food menu, that's only available Thursday-Sunday. Awesome spot. This place has a large patio that was filled with Mini Christmas trees, and then a covered tent with a lot of heaters and many tables. I came with my dog so had to stay outside but the staff was very accommodating and got gas to put into the heater. Drinks were well made and had quality ingredients. Of all distilleries I've been to, Ironton has a pretty unrivaled outdoor space to spend time and relax. Their indoor is really nice too and a good place to hang out. Sadly, their drinks and service don't quite match the place itself. I've been there a few times and the drinks when it's a large gathering are usually pre-made and not very much selection. My cousin and I went and one of the servers took so long to take our order, by the time someone else checked on us we'd forgotten that the first server even came at all and neither drink was right. :/ If you like gin, it's a decent place but otherwise the spirits aren't quite smooth enough for the cocktails. read more

I'm not sure if it's an inflation curse, but my most recent trip ensures I won't be back. 1st draft drink I got was so lemon overpowering. I mentioned I hated if, and i was given grief about replacing (I said tried and to their credit they did replace it). The second cocktail (3rd counting the returned) was okay. In fact none of the cocktails this trip were that great. No wonder my wife switched to wine. The garlic Knotts were fine but the marina was not the amazing stuff we had last time. We then got two pizzas - and we both found it entirely wanting. Just like it was missing flavor even with the yummy ingredients. Four different adults agreed- We didn't bring the pizza mediocrity to the server attention (especially after getting grief from the server) but - ugh enough to have no reason to come back This is the final strike - the last time we were there the pizza was 1hr20 minutes (we left and suddenly we got pizza as we were leaving) but at least it tasted amazing....in the car Service was fine but this time - and timely - every thing was mediocre. #inflationCurse ? OMG - this is the best of the best! Ironton, helped us throw a baby shower for my son and daughter in law. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for friend get togethers, parties, weddings. It's a beautiful, comfortable place with both indoor and outdoor spaces. The food was "off the charts"! Biggest, best wheel of baked Brie surrounded by nuts, fresh fruit, crackers that I've ever seen and just as delicious. Fresh veggies, bacon wrapped dates...and, of course the drinks are made with their distilled spirits! Big fan. Their outdoor seating is a vibe. Beautiful reception areas for weddings and they also host yoga, comedy, bluegrass music etc... I've always ordered and old fashion and I think their bourbon is very underrated! Their single malt is Smokey and finishes with notes of caramel and pecan. Their rye whiskey is simplistic (I found it a little underwhelming) and their Genievre Gin aged in whiskey barrels is so interesting I could sip it neat for hours. Loads of complex flavors and a unique taste. I have not ordered their pizza yet.. but every single table around us did (some did so twice) I always order their garlic nots with marinara as they are my favorite. I would recommend getting a flight of spirits (5 for $9) and taste the different spirits they distill in house. More people need to visit and support this amazing local distillery! read more

I'm so glad we came here! After trying the week before and being turned away with a private event, we came back a week later. The patio is SO cute. Lots of vibes going on - lush greenery and plants, tables and sitting areas for high tops and low tops, huge setting, and nice indoor space too. While it took a while to flag down someone to get a table, they disinfected it right away and left me to it. They don't have QR codes on the table, but it's the same menu as their website. The drinks: the Appyecot Oldy was quite sweet but balanced. The Hunting Wabbits sounds bizarre, but was so good - the smoky offsets any veggie taste. The Manhattan was standard. The Ski-Rummy was complex and my favorite - barrel aged rum, mango shrub, orgeat, cherry syrup. Yum! The food: big pizzas! Lots of leftovers. The Yankee girl is their take on a margherita pizza. I'd have liked more fresh basil but the blistered cherry tomatoes were a nice touch. My friend liked his Idorado pizza wit sausage, mushrooms, roasted bell peppers - definitely the heartier pizza of the two! The service was touch and go and the food and drinks took a while (they warned us the kitchen was backed up, so I'm not sure about the drink timing). Overall, though, I liked this place a lot and would love to go back and try more cocktails. The patio and outdoor space itself is a winner - the yummy cocktails are the cherry on top! read more

Love, love, love, this location. (Not sure where my review went, but here it is again.) When I heard about Ironton distillery, I wondered what happened to the artists. Turns out they are still here, working in studio space and showing in the gallery. Very cool. The public space (it's way more than a bar) is fantastic. It's also HUGE. There's the gallery, which is open to the public, a huge patio space with heaters and fire features and games like cornhole. The inside has plenty of tables, plus a bar. The sofas by the fireplace are a cozy spot to enjoy a drink. There is also a "conference room," which is available for events. There's a big event space too, but I don't know much about it. I rented the conference room for a small party, and it was perfect. The party was on a Sunday afternoon, so we pretty much had the run of the place. There's a large screen in the room so we set up video games "for the kids," thought the adults enjoyed it. Even the bathrooms are notable and stylish. My guests took a lot of bathroom photos. They also enjoyed the gallery and the patio. On to the drinks: I've enjoyed cocktails here on several occasions. They have a big menu of boozy drinks--I especially like the old fashioned. In addition to their spirits (and their bitters), they serve local beer and wine. My friends LOVED trying their house cocktails. The gin and tonic was especially popular and photogenic. For those not drinking, they have Martinelli's apple juice, delicious Teakoe tea, and Mexican Coke. At my event, staff were great hosts. I do love this distillery, and I've supported it by visiting the tasting room in the past and ordering delivery during COVID. Therefore, it made sense to visit once they opened their patio, but it was a very disappointing experience. They have signs everywhere about masks, table service and keeping distance. They are following regulations to a T and I felt very comfortable being there. However, it took almost 20-25 minutes before someone came to us for table service, and our server was visibly intoxicated when they took our order, getting too close and slurring words. Needless to say, my order came out wrong and there were no apologies. Terrible service aside, the patio is awesome and drinks are great, as usual. Id rather order from the bar and tip the bartender than have table service that's meant to keep everyone safe, but leaves a bad impression. read more

This is just a seriously cool place - I love how much more relaxed Denver is than LA about craft distilleries being allowed to serve alcohol (as opposed to just tiny tastings), and how much/what types they're allowed to serve), as they have all manner of neat-looking cocktails made with their own spirits, as well as craft beer and even a couple guest sakes from nearby Colorado Sake. More importantly, though, they do also have a spirit tasting flight option (what I was there for), which lets you try any 5 of their spirits/liqueurs for $10 (and yes, you can use the "20% off your first drink" yelp checkin for the flight, or at least they let me do that.) I had a ton of breweries on my list to try, so I just did the tasting. When I was there a couple months ago, they had a proper genever as well as a gin made with local Colorado botanicals, a rum, a vodka, and an aquavit (I tried the 2 gins, the rum and the aquavit, all pretty solid), and then also a range of liqueurs, of which I only tried 1 - but their mint liqueur was absolutely deliciously minty (like fresh mint, not the mint flavor you get in cheaper stuff usually). My only complaint was that I didn't get to try everything! I also loved how the tasting room, while protected, was still open and felt like it still had a connection to the outside. They also have what appeared to be a really nice outdoor garden/seating area, but it was occupied by a wedding reception at the time I visited. It's a bit out of the way from the rest of the breweries and tasting rooms in RiNo, but I would absolutely make sure to come back here if I were in Denver again (and try a couple of their cocktails, as well as more of their spirits). read more

This is probably the highlight of 2020 for me so far! So unexpected, I usually tend to go to breweries but a friend visiting was insistent on going to a distillery and we picked this one mostly due the proximity to other bars and restaurants. The space is huge both inside and out. The patio is my favorite - I can't think of a better place to spend a weekend afternoon sipping on my favorite spirit. I only had the rum here and it worked for me (i.e. it was good). My friends had whiskey and had similar comments. Here's the thing, their distilled alcohol is good, but their drinks are not good. There were 6 of us and had about 10 drinks, none of them were good! I had friends in town and we were going to a brewery but stumbled into this place instead by accident -- have to give it 5 stars! All of the cocktails were amazing and the pizza we got was so good. (Full size specialty pizza for a decent price - definitely can split between 3 people) The fireplace was extremely cozy and lighting/layout/high ceilings/decor was gorgeous, I was surprised it wasn't more crowded. Big fan of the outdoor patio: 1. Dogs allowed 2. There are 2 benches made out of ski lifts 3. There is the hook on the string game It's very spacious, there's lot of room to sit and we actually came here for their fall festival. Even with the crowd it was still pretty easy to move around. I can't believe I haven't been here before considering I work in Rino and have had my fair share and happy hour spots after work. The bar line was a little slow but understandable with the crowd. This distillery is one to check out if your in the area. Upon entering, I was instantly impressed with the space. With both modern, and rustic chic decor, the ambiance is classy and comfortable. Many of the decorations embodied cabin themed decor, yet a mix of modern architucture balanced the place nicely. With a fireplace situated in the corner, we happily sipped on our drinks and soaked in the cozy and intimate atmoshphere. The drinks themselves are creative. I thought it was super interesting that the cocktails are actually on tap, so no mixing from the bartender is needed. They simply pour your drink from an already created batch. The bartenders are friendly and were super helpful in giving advice on what drinks we may like the best. While I opted for a Manhattan, Katie chose to try the Amaretto drink which was amazing!
