I had the Plum Anejo, this is by far the best cocktail I have ever had. Scott is an amazing mixologist!! Great experience, great service, will definitely do it again!!!

If you're in Capitol Hill, take time to have a drink in the wonderfully restored comfortable wood and leather ambiance of the 12 Spirits Tavern (located in the carriage house of the Patterson Inn). In particular, I'd recommend the (I know it sounds odd, but it was so good - and interesting - that I came back the next day to have it again) the Cap Hill Carrot (with bourbon, of all things). (My wife favored the Aviator.) Chris Chiari, the gracious owner of the Patterson, will keep you fascinated with all manner of stories and you'll leave thinking of him as a friend. There's something about the spirit of 12 Spirits that gets everyone there talking - we went there two nights and felt like we'd been visiting with friends both times.

This was a cool spot! Very small inside, but we were the only four in there for a while so it wasn't too loud. We missed the happy hour, but the drinks were good. We also had pretzel bites and those were tasty! Our server was kind and informative.

What a nice place to have in Capitol Hill!! It's very cozy, in the basement of that old mansion at Penn and 11th (the Patterson Inn for the new folks). Four seats at the bar, and plenty of comfy/cozy chairs throughout. It's very intimate. Nice little app menu, which we'll definitely be back to try! See pics. The bartender was quick with a couple cocktail recommendations, and I'm sure their offerings will grow/change based on experience and interest. They have some inventive stuff on the menu now, and I enjoyed my coffee old fashioned well enough. Overall, nice new place! Would be happy to go back. The entrance is on Pennsylvania, just off 11th. Look for the sign (or the grey door).

What an exceptional experience! Happen to be on a ghost tour and the Patterson House was a stop. By happenstance the group decided to walk around the sidewalk to maybe catch a glimpse of where the basement entrance might be and we find a sign for the 12 Spirits Tavern, what luck. Very cool bar and the owner/bartender Chris made my night! The drinks were excellent as well as the stories and ambiance of the place which is why I decided to forgo the rest of my ghost tour and belly up to the bar and hang out with Chris and his adorable New Jersey charm. This Texas girl loved the whole experience, thank you Chris!

We hoped to start our date night celebrating at 12 spirit tavern with some drinks and appetizers, we made reservations for 7pm. We arrived 5 minutes prior and were not even acknowledged as we stood at the door. After waiting for a few minutes and having the server walk by us a few times we went to the Bartender who let us know to pick a seat and someone would be with us shortly. We patiently waited for 25 minutes before we walked out. It's a really cool spot, dark and moody, a little intimate. Maybe we'll try again another time.

The speakeasy vibe of the tavern in the basement of the second most haunted hotel in Colorado. Look for the glow of the open sign.

In fact, we didn't eat anything that wasn't well seasoned, cooked to order and authentically British. Not an easy find, if you ask me. Their cocktails were amazing and after some chit chat about what I liked and didn't, the suggestions were fabulous. Loved the British decor as well. Such a fun place. The location is kind of in the middle of nowhere but that's not a bad thing. Lots of parking and outdoor space to wait for a table or pull up a chair. The service is a little stiff and slow but what can you expect from a pub style restaurant. It can get pretty busy inside especially around holidays so definitely make a reservation if you plan on having a big party or don't want to sit at the bar. The two guys working the bar, Josh and Jake, are super friendly and made us feel like they've known us forever. That was awesome. Such a great neighborhood bar vibe. There's a great selection at the bar. I tried the seasonal porter and went so far to have another when I finished the first one. Josh and I talked about porter beers for a bit. The food selection is great and the food itself was awesome. No complaints. Great sized portions, the Cubano Sandwich exceeded my expectations, and we had the stuffed tater tots (tater kegs?) as an appetizer. Again, outstanding. As mentioned, even though it was our first time there we were made to feel like some of the regulars through conversation and the like. The crowd is eclectic. And, having lived in Chicago for a while, it was fun to do a shot of Malört with the bartenders and some of the other folks sitting at the bar. Go here. One of the best experiences I've had in this type of establishment in years.

We kicked things off with the Tater Kegs basically five mega tots stuffed with bacon, chive, and cheddar. They were insanely good. I could've easily taken down another order, but I knew what was coming next... the wings. These bad boys are smoked for 12 hours, then fried up and dunked in house made sauces that taste like they've been perfected over time. We went with Kicking Bourbon (sweet with a little heat) and Alabama White Sauce (creamy, tangy perfection). The blue cheese and ranch are homemade...you can actually taste the difference and the fries? Crispy, golden, and gone way too fast. To wash it down, I grabbed a local Kölsch on tap; icy cold, light, and spot-on with the wings. And the vibe? Perfect mix of chill and fun. The bartenders were super friendly, the music hit right, and the whole place just had that "local favorite" energy. Honestly, Wild Corgi Pub is one of those spots that doesn't try too hard it just nails it. Good food, good people, good beer. That's all you need. I'll definitely hit this spot again when we return for another weekend getaway!

Staff is informative and friendly. We got the: 1) Chips and Curry: -It's house made fries and curry sauce. -I'm used to Japanese curry, so I'm always a little bit taken aback when the curry has a bit of sweetness to it, but delicious either way. Slightly sweet and savory curry with lots of layered spices to it. Filling and comforting. Great diversity of textures and savory, salty, and umami flavors. Gotta get the black pudding too. 3) Scotch Egg: -Comes with spicy mustard. -I LOVE scotch eggs. I'm a low key hardboiled egg enjoyer, so the addition of the sausage layer around with the deep fried breadcrumbs and dipped in mustard? Divine.
