Dr. Kimberley did my X-Rays and cleaning really quick and the results for my cleaning were amazing! Dr. Chang focused on my dental issues and did an amazing job with his recommendations for what I should do next! They used some I've never seen before, but it made for a much less abrasive experience. After using the coolest X-ray machine I've ever seen, I was escorted to my room where I was met with what could possibly be the most comfortable dental chair I've ever sat in. Next was the cleaning, this is usually an unpleasant experience for me, as my gums can be pretty sensitive at times. This was not the case this time. I'm horrible with names, so I can't recall the woman who did my cleaning, but she was amazing. She was very gentle, so gentle in fact that I was sure there was no way she actually did a good job. That is until I saw the before and after photos of my teeth. I was and still am very impressed with what she was able to do. I promise I won't forget her name the next time she tells me. Lastly was the dentist himself, (again my ability to recall names is terrible) but he was great as well. He came in and explained to me in detail what the X-ray was showing, pointed out some issues that I already knew I had (which let me know he knows what he's doing) and together we came up with a game plan to resolve those issues. My overall experience at Blue Brush was a pleasant one. If you happen to stumble upon their office and are wondering if you should give them a try or not, let this be your deciding factor. Give them a try, I can guarantee that even if for some reason they aren't a perfect fit for you, you would have at least had a great experience.

The tech/assistant is always all smiles and is sure I'm as comfortable as can be. Dr. Naz is so kind and compassionate. I've never been crazy about dentist visits and definitely don't take as much care as I should, she never makes me feel guilty and always talks through everything thoroughly when it comes to my dental journey. On top of that, the cavity itself wasn't properly filled, and my sensitivity and pain have only gotten worse since the visit. This was my first time at the clinic. I went in for X-rays and a consultation for the filling. As I was checking out, the receptionist pushed me to get a full mouth X-ray just because my insurance would cover it, which wasn't anything I needed. It felt like they were only trying to bill my insurance. The numbing shot was painful and the procedure was rough. I left with scratches and pain in my gums despite only having one cavity filled. The filling came out to $180 with my insurance, which isn't bad, but I'll need to go to another office to have the whole procedure reevaluated and likely redone.

I've always had a lot of anxiety when it comes to visiting the dentist especially since i'm prone to having dental issues and have definitely had my fair share of negative experiences. However, the team at Irvine Modern Dentistry is one of the first to not make me dread dental check-ups and cleanings. Everyone is so friendly, knowledgeable, and takes my concerns into consideration. My hygienist, Ken, is gentle yet precise when it comes to my cleanings and always checks on me to make sure I'm doing okay. I also appreciate hearing about the latest technologies that the clinic is implementing. It is clear that they deeply care about the dental health of their patients and they make a point to recommend treatments that are best suited for me, rather than pressure me into buying services/products that are considerably out of my budget. They even gave me a free tote bag filled with goodies during my first visit (thank you Phary!) Overall, I would highly recommend Irvine Modern Dentistry. I always enjoy catching up with the team during my cleanings and leave feeling anxiety-free and satisfied with my care.

Came in for an evaluation for a root canal. My general dentist referred me to see an endodontist…read more(root canal specialist) and they took X-rays and told me I needed the root canal. Despite there being no periapical radiolucency (infection) at the root and they didn't perform a vitality test to see if my nerve was reversibly or irreversibly damaged. The endodontist just said if I was cold sensitive then I needed the root canal. I was unsure at the time if this was a clear indicator that I needed to be treated but I trusted him and did it anyway. (He was cold and impersonal and didnt even say bye when he finished.) The dentist that helped make/do my crown was very nice though. I came back today for the cementation of my permanent crown and asked them to check if there was any other work that I should address. I was told that i had "early pre periodontitis" and that they recommended a full mouth deep cleaning and that I needed laser on top of it to help kill the bacteria. Luckily I consulted with my sister who is a dental practitioner and when she reviewed my X-rays , there was very limited to no bone loss present on my X-rays and she could clearly see all the cortical/crestal bone still present. They didn't perform the gum pocket measurements (so how could they know that I had enough clinical attachment loss to warrant a full mouth deep cleaning?) After being "diagnosed" with "early pre periodontitis" (aka... gum disease... which is reversible), I am now skeptical of whether or not my root canal should have even been done. I am disappointed by this but at least the root canal and crown I received were quality. And the front desk people and dentist were still nice.

We were charged over $1,000 out of pocket (more than $3,000 before insurance) for something that shouldn't have been done. They also took an excessive number of X-rays--18 before a routine cleaning, and many more afterward just to "check" their work. For simple fillings, they removed far more tooth structure than expected, leaving the tooth hollow and then recommending crowns as a follow-up. While the staff appears friendly, it often feels like they are pushing as many procedures as possible rather than prioritizing what is truly necessary for the patient.
