I was surprised with a night stay here at the Marriot last week. Its a beautiful hotel. They dont cover parking even if you stay here. Check in was kind of annoying. We were sent to the wrong room. So we had to goto the 10th floor. Tried getting into the wrong room, then had to go all the way back downstairs to get the right room. The elevator takes forever to get to the floor we were on. But its weird, because going up and down it goes quickly. But takes forever to actually get into the elevator. It was pretty hot (for Irvine) outside. And you definitely felt it in the hallways. It was hot and stuffy. The pillows for the bed was terrible. Caused me to have a kink in my neck in the morning. Our included breakfast in the AM was ok. They used liquid eggs which just isnt that great. Dont get me wrong though, theres a lot of things I enjoyed about my stay here, including: The room looked very posh and high end. AC works amazingly. The bed is very comfortable, you just sink right into it. I really enjoyed how stable and fixed the bed is. The shower pressure us amazing. Good water pressure. Nice fixtures. Customer service. They really bend over backwards for their guests. Able to get some more complimentary water bottles from the front desk. Even the people working in the breakfast room were super helpful and nice. YNK- this is their speakeasy. A must visit!! Great drinks. Exceptional customer service. See my review of YNK for further details!! Lots of things to do on premise. Beautiful pool. Multiple eating places. They have a top golf room. I did enjoy their coffee machines in the breakfast room. Massviely large parking lot. You have to badge in and out so pretty secure Id say. I stayed here a few weeks ago because I attended a concert at the OC fair. I have stayed here before. Its a very upscale location. I REALLY enjoyed the pool. Watching the Dodgers game at night at the pool was definitely a flex haha. I also loved the speakeasy bar. I wasnt too crazy about the M Club lounge. It leaves a lot to be desired. The snacks were just pretzels and apples. I have been to some with great appetizers, desserts, beer and wine. There were refrigerators with beer and wine, but we were told we couldn't have any. I think for the price it is to be an M Club lounge member, there could be better evening snacks and a complimentary drink. Overall, it was a good stay. $40 self parking. Lots of EV charging but need to download app. Watch out for the fake app that will ask you to give credit card info right away and in fine print, $50 recurring charges. The 3rd party EV charging called Charge point will take $25 1st. Ask for converter if you have Tesla. Hotel staff is nice, room were in nice tidy condition too. No offensive odors. Nothing broken or signs of aging. Bathroom is ok. The usual, lack of detailed cleaning around the edges of shower. Water pressure is good, not excellent, better than bad. Shower handle was loose and I was afraid it might fell off. Gets noisy since so close to the John Wayne airport and 405 but you get use to it. AC and heat works good without rattling the room. Lower level has the gym and also access to the pool. 6 30 am 50F and already a swimmer and a napper at the sofa. Always loved this location. read more

This was a very family-friendly hotel with tons of stuff to do for all ages! Ping pong tables, pool, golf simulator, and more! The staff were very friendly and it was a seamless check in experience! It was also conveniently located near the airport and major freeways. Parking and valet are pricey, and the room rates are high, however, the rooms were spacious and comfortable! Would have loved to have a continental breakfast included, however we appreciated the coffee shop and restaurant located inside of the hotel. read more

Our office used to be in the building next door to this Marriott hotel. We moved away about 7 years ago and I missed walking over here for lunch and other activities. We were invited to a Program Forum recently and it appears that the hotel has been renovated and remodeled with new furniture to almost its entirety. It looks so nice now. The meeting room was very beautiful and everything was first class. There was lunch served at noon. We had both, chicken and salmon with risotto. Salmon was very good but chicken was a bit tough. Dessert was okay. Some kind of cake with a thick white frosting on the top. I couldn't figure out what that was. I had a few bites but left most of it behind. Great value for the money. Granted it is a little older and rooms were a little small but we enjoyed our stay. The positives that elevated this hotel to five star: friendly and helpful staff, the facility which included a large pool, a game room (ping pong table, arcade games, foosball), pool deck large screen, a nice gym. The negatives: older and smaller rooms, need grout retouching, some stains. They do have a Marriott club for those that have access or if you want to pay extra. They provide free breakfast, non alcoholic drinks (all day), light dinner and snacks in the evening. We would definitely consider staying again. Stayed here for 1 night and used their meeting suites for two days of interviews. Has a great experience from check in, to meeting rooms, and guest room. There is a very good sized lobby with a bar and restaurant. They have a Starbucks on site and the ladies that work there are OUTSTANDING!!! Efficient, friendly, go the extra mile. Also Luis took great care of us in meeting room. We ordered food ahead from the restaurant to be deliver for lunch. Food was fresh and delicious. Laura was great at check in My only gripes were parking. $35 for like and hour. We even negotiated validation, but it only takes $10 off. There are parking garages around the side of the building that seemed to be for the office is close by, not sure if they are open all night or what the rate is it might be similar And the light in the bathroom goes on automatically. One night stay. Great experience. Room 1737. Ate dinner in the restaurant one night and enjoyed the service and our entrees. Marriott's are PEPSI and not COKE fans so there's that. We enjoyed breakfast in the M Lounge and that was yummy. Upon check-in the bell guy loaded up our luggage and brought it to our room. Thank you! Had the pleasure of recently attending a special event at Irvine Marriott. The event was easy to find amongst other events being hosted at the hotel. A beautiful Christmas tree greeted us in the front, along with guest services who guided us to our location. I was the guest of my daughter, who was invited to receive a scholarship award. The hotel was large enough to not only set up a beautiful gala in the selected room, but there was also space for a greeting table, Photo Booth, and cocktail hour outside. I enjoyed being a guest at this gala. Besides the beautiful venue, I enjoyed their dinner and service. We were served salad, short rib (or fish), and cheesecake dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed each dish. Service was also efficient and quick, and I loved my decaf coffee served with dessert. The hotel also offered validation for all the guests, which was nice. I would definitely keep Irvine Marriott in mind if I were to host a large party. read more

Really happy with the service, room, and location at this hotel. It's very close to the airport but surprisingly quiet--we didn't hear any plane noise at all. Restaurants and shopping spots aren't within walking distance, but just a short drive away, which made things super convenient. The room was clean and had a modern, minimal look. I really liked the wood floors and white furniture. When we first checked in, we noticed the comforter had some hard lumps inside. We let the front desk know, and they brought a replacement right away. Great service! Breakfast at the lounge was also a nice bonus--plenty of options, including hot dishes, fruit, and pastries. The newly remodeled Irvine Marriott is a pleasure to stay at with their golf simulator, open for plan, amazing lobby bar and restaurant.

The smoking section being write at the front of the building was awful. The cigar smell was suffocating as we were dropping off my parents here. We've loved that our city doesn't allow smoking within the city limits, so it was especially off putting to run into this here. read more

We stayed 4 days and 3 nights. The location is convenient, but the service and quality do not match the high price. We booked a king bed but got a queen. For ~$330 a night plus $45 parking, we expected more from a 4 star hotel. The bed was old, uneven, and uncomfortable, and the blanket even had holes. The air conditioner was very noisy, making it hard to sleep. The hotel has been renovated, but the work is low quality and it still feels old and poorly maintained. One morning, workers were cleaning windows outside without any notice, which was very uncomfortable for guests. Overall, not worth the price. This hotel needs serious improvements before calling itself 4 stars. read more

I live just a few minutes away from the Marriott in Irvine, but I honestly love it so much that I actually want to stay here. The atmosphere is really nice and relaxing, and it feels like a little getaway even though I'm so close to home. One of my favorite things is definitely the piña coladas, they're delicious! I also really appreciated the room service: it's quick, the staff is super kind, and overall the service is excellent. Everything feels smooth, welcoming, and just makes the stay enjoyable. Not the worst but not the best. There's not much to complain about other than they don't have disposable slippers for the room and that their towels feel pretty rough. Other than that, the room was clean and had no issues with the water pressure, smells, noise of the sort (although I did stay on the top floor) M Club Lounge is a skip unless you want free breakfast or if you just so happen upon the happy hour. read more

Everyone was extremely friendly, and I had a corner room, so had beautiful views / numerous windows to overlook the Irvine landscape. I also appreciated that there was a Starbucks right inside, and a well maintained gym with a couple of Peloton bikes. It was my engagement dinner and I had family come in from Hawaii and Bakersfield. I found this hotel, and it looked pretty. It was in a quiet area not too far from where I live or where i'm hosting my dinner. However, check-in was horrible. My brothers went there at 2:30, keep in mind that I've called a few times prior and asked to put a note in. The guy was nice about it and said that he will make sure that the rooms are cleaned early. Well the rooms weren't ready and on top of that they weren't even ready at the original check-in time of 4:00. My dinner was at 5:30. So they had to rush to get ready. The rooms weren't very clean and the hotel was underwhelming. I don't want to give it a 1 star solely cause of the check in experience because it's not the worst hotel and i'm not subjective. read more

Clean remodeled hotel with a central location near the airport. I really liked how to rooms had hard surface flooring because it doesn't feel dirty like other hotels. Cleaning staff does a good job making sure your room is nice and clean. The design of the hotel doesn't make you feel like you are trapped in an old box. The gym is a little bigger than other hotel gyms and they have different types of equipment. The biggest area of issue is parking. When the hotel is booked there may not be sufficient parking. I came in and checked in at 3pm and drove all over the parking lot to find a spot. I think there may be daytime events that take up spots as well. Would suggest the hotel let guests know if alternative locations to park. It's a pain to pay about $30 a night for parking but you're not sure if you can get a spot. Other than parking would come here again. read more

I have used the site snag-a-space to book parking for the airport, for over 5 years now. This rating is because, while I never thought to give a bad review for poor customer service (really its complete silence upon greeting, I am now. I arrived to the shuttle pickup area while there was still people loading the shuttle in the early morning. I asked via my window if I could park real quick and join to which the tall individual I see working the morning quite often just shook his head no. All this while bags were still not loaded and people were still boarding. I parked and was at the boarding area in 30 seconds to which the driver saw me, made eye contact through the window as well as other passengers and did not let me on. If you know the shuttle service, they only leave every 30 minutes. The awful, unfriendly, and rude behavior compelled me to share as it really was unnecessary as I was not technically late for the departure. read more

Because we circled the lot multiple times at night and could not find a single spot to park, we were directed to park on a fire lane. Numerous guests were told to do the same. I stayed here for the CanJam SoCal conference. The conference rate was good. Wasn't thrilled about paying for parking, but got the conference rate automatically, which was good. The room was okay, but showed some signs of aging and wear. (Paint, caulking on the trim, the rectangular power cord masks) There was an unexplained hole in the wall (Rectangular, on the headboard side of the wall near the ceiling. It didn't look like it was placed there haphazardly, but I couldn't discern it's purpose.) that was odd and a touch unsettling. No microwave in the room. The coffee amenity in room was not great. I did like the small couch/chaise with table. Asked for extra blankets and they were brought up promptly. Asked for early check-in and it was granted. All interactions with staff were quite pleasant. The view of I-5 wasn't spectacular, but I wasn't really expecting anything on that front. The Starbucks in the lobby had the nitro cold-brew on tap, and that's the only thing I'll drink from Starbucks. So that was a plus. That may not have been necessary if there were better coffee options anywhere nearby. The hotel lounge/bar was okay, but kinda spendy for what it was. I got two sandwiches to go and two dark and stormy cocktails for around $80. Also, when the to-go order arrived it was placed on the counter (not anywhere near me) and sat there for a bit before I asked about it. Consequently it was not warm when I got to the room to eat it. (Something a microwave might remedy.) read more

We got on the shuttle after the driver found his keys and sat for 25 minutes. He refused to take us 5 min drive to hotel cause he was waiting for another crew. Check in was good. The manager apologized. Dinner was good. Nice selection at hotel restaurant. Open till midnight. I wanted to tip cash and the bartender couldn't break a $20. Da faq? The room is very nice. We come to the Irvine Marriott a lot. I won't go into all the things we like about this place because there are too many to list. This trip was different. My son was in a terrible motorcycle accident and we had to stay somewhere close to the hospital. Stephanie at the front desk noticed I wasn't very happy at the moment and she asked me how I was doing and I just mentioned what had happened. She then went on to ask if there was anything they could do. I simply said just pray. About 15 minutes after I got to my room late at night we got a knock on the door. A young man handed us a bag with some sweet treats and a kind note. I cried I love this place!!! read more

First time staying at the Marriott Irvine and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I booked this hotel based on the location, positive reviews, and my husband has stayed here before lol We came here to spend the night before checking out to do a day at Disneyland. Parking in the lot is pricey because it's $45 a night with in-n-out privileges with the hotel key card. Upon checking in at the front desk, we were also given 2 water bottles, which was really nice because we wanted to get some water and now we didn't have to leave to go get some at a convenience store. Our room was a balcony room on the 7th floor, which had a nice sunset over the city skyline. I could probably have done without a balcony for the cost. The bathroom was clean and the beds were comfy except the pillows felt flat for me. Big thanks to Olga for cleaning our room. The highlight was the breakfast included in our booking reservation at the FLOE Lounge. We received excellent table service by Raymond. I got a lox bagel with pineapple juice and my husband got pancakes, bacon and eggs with coffee. Raymond also gave us to-go cups for our leftover coffee, which was a thoughtful gesture. This was our first stay at Marriott Irvine and we stayed for my son's basketball tournament. We had a fantastic experience! Check in day was just me (mom) and my son and they were able to provide us with a room early. I had all of our stuff, plus my husband and daughter's who was arriving the next day. They unloaded my car and delivered it to the room for us. I felt very safe as a female with a child, which was extremely important to me. My daughter and I also took a Lyft on Sunday to Disneyland and again felt very safe. They have the pickup and drop off area right in front of the lobby with staff working. When we left about halfway home we realized our son left his precious lovie he has had since he was a newborn in the bed. We called and had fabulous service the entire day. The gentleman working the front desk immediately notified security and began updating us throughout the day. Once we got home we called to speak to a manager, as we knew that if the lovie wasn't found that day we likely wouldn't find it (I work in a hospital and we send sheets out for laundering and were worried about the same thing). The manager Karina and her housekeeping and security staff were amazing. They understood how important this was and found the lovie within a couple of hours. Within a few minutes of Karina calling us with the good news, security called to be sure they had our address and updated us on the plan to ship it. We received the lovie within 2 days. The Irvine Marriott hotel exceeded all of my expectations during my recent stay. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the pleasant scent that filled the lobby. The hotel was immaculately clean and well-maintained, with modern decor that gave it a sleek and sophisticated feel. The blue ambient lighting in the elevators and throughout the hotel and pool area were an extra cool vibe touch ! My room was extremely comfortable, with a plush bed and good space to relax and unwind. I appreciated the attention to detail, from the high-quality linens to the thoughtful amenities like a lavender pillow spray and mini fridge. They have a lobby restaurant and speak easy bar that was pretty fablous! You must try at least one cocktail at "you never know " during your stay . It's located within a business district and just a few miles from John Wayne airport. They provide complementary shuttle ride to the airport . Overall, I couldn't have been more pleased with my stay at the Marriott. The combination of a pleasant scent, cleanliness, and modern amenities made for a truly exceptional experience. I had a nice stay here at the Marriott Irvine. My company hosted an event here and the staff was all very friendly and helpful in making our event professional and unforgettable. We were in the garden ballroom and it was a very nice set up. Very clean and again the staff was great. I was present for the walkthrough before the event and our event manager was helpful in getter answers to everything we wanted and needed. I also used the gym while here and it was a nice open space. They still have some machines out of service due to Covid to help spread guests out, but there was only one other person there when I was so we didn't cross paths. It was clean and there was a an area to get filtered water. My room was nice, it felt clean and well-maintained and I didn't have any disturbances as far as loud neighbors or anything not working. Also it was cool that they have a new Top Golf virtual hitting room! I didn't get to use it but it looked cool! read more

Customer service wins out, again!! I attended the 59th Annual Mayors' Prayer Breakfast--what an amazing event!!! It was incredibly encouraging to see so many mayors, pastors, professors and leaders gathered in one place. Amazing event!! After all the fun and fellowship, I was heading out but the gate wasn't working. I was about to try and exit the other way on the opposite side of the parking lot but one of the hotel workers came by and helped me out. He had a great attitude and was willing to go out of his way to help me out. Thanks to him, I got on with my day. I wish I remembered his name! But my experiences at this Marriott have been great.
