Overview: *…read morePhysical Trainers are top notch, Blake was amazing and really helped fix my form for workouts and helping me get started in building out my frame. * Class instructors are challenging and engaging and theres a decent amount of offerings. * Equipment is somewhat consistent across different locations. Except sometimes it's a sauna room or a steam room. * Nowhere near hygienic in the male lockers and showers. Showers can be clogged and stay clogged for a while (personal experience only at this specific one) Sauna room is filled with people who are wearing workout clothes, and carrying devices in. Both of which pose potential hazards. * Not the best place to find a down to earth community Misuse within mens sauna carrying in devices and synthetic fiber clothing which can cause respiratory irritation etc -------- Pros: * The main differentiation are in the instructors. From my experience the instructors are amazing, knowledgeable and definitely push you. * I also paid for a physical trainer Blake and he was amazing! I managed to have a more foundational understanding of proper workout form which I had difficulty to achieve from a busy schedule. Within my 6 sessions across 2 months I gained 15 ibs of muscle. Dislikes: * Mens lockers and showers aren't the most hygienic. Most importantly showers are sometimes clogged which wastes time looking for one that isn't. Sometimes, towels are strewn across the floor or on benches. * Showers are clogged sometimes so it's like Russian roulette trying to find one that isn't. * Sauna has people who don't seem to understand the hazards of wearing synthetic fibers/clothes and carrying devices in. All of which release VOCs and pose potential fire hazards from the lithium battery exploding...Also wearing clothes while in a sauna can harm your fertility health PSA for those who don't know.

The majority of all the old members of the Sports Club/LA left due to the different crowds of people Equinox has brought in. We called it the 24 hour fitness crowd. It's quite true. A lot of things has certainly changed drastically after it became what it is today. I would say 50/50% of things happening here are good and bad. Behind the closed doors things are not always what they seem for a 5 star upscale gym. A lot of members including myself had have our personal belongings stolen from us from time to time. I've personally had a issue recently that resulted in someone stealing by $200 cycling bib shorts after I went to take a shower after a extremely exhausting spin class. That's pretty disgusting on who ever stole a pair of stinky worn shorts belonging to someone else. Others have their underwear stolen directly from their lockers while they simply walked away to get something. It's creepy. We never had this problem when the Sport Club/LA was around. Seem like all of the bad things that has happened to this beautiful gym is by members who were previously members of 24 hour fitness. Other than the negative things, Equinox is ALWAYS a nice gym to go to when you're looking for the most exclusive upscale gym other companies don't have. One thing that makes me laugh every time I walked through the front door is the valet service that offers easy parking for lazy people.

Stayed here overnight and this hotel does NOT disappoint!…read more I came here a couple years earlier for an overnight stay, just like this trip I went on. Instead on this trip, I had a free room available in my account, which I wanted to redeem before expiring. First of all, the front desk people are very sweet and were very knowledgeable about the hotel and the amenities included. It was also around $35 for overnight parking, which I guess was okay considering I was only staying one night. The parking garage is adjacent to the hotel. Couple of the reasons I came is for the swimming pool and the gym. It seems this is what the hotel revolves around; that and the kid care. Entering into the hotel room, it was super clean and very nice. They have a no-smoking policy in the room, which I love because certain hotels don't have that kind of policy and the rooms smells horrible. When I woke up in the morning, I had a view of the pool and spa. It seemed there was a class in the pool and it looked really fun and I didn't know they had classes. Unfortunately, I didn't have any time to see the gym, but I will my next trip to this hotel. Next time I head to this hotel, I'll have more to review but for now, this is all I have to say. Thank you, Marriott!

They have events for the holidays and socials as well. The workers are all really friendly and remember us every time we come by. The child care services are convenient for us to work out or hang out and get some work done. Our kid loves the staff, except for one person, but all the rest are amazing. The only thing, I wish they had a track or allowed us to run around the building while our kid is at the child care. Treadmills are tough for me. I tried the facial services too and the esthetician was great. She recommended some treatments and it was quite relaxing.

People can go into the shower and shower for 30 minutes or more and use 8 bottles of spa treatments and leave people standing in line for 15 minutes or more who just wanted to be able to take a quick shower after a workout or being in the pool. Too bad for you! What a joke. This has happened to me numerous times. And the hair washing queens didn't come from the pool, because I swim in the pool. It's just from regular classes. I belong to another Club Studio in a different city, and I've never seen this problem. And I can't even see anything so alluring about the showers at this gym that you'd even want to stay in there for over 30 minutes. In the bathroom, though, Club Studio has "water-saving" motion detected faucets. Serious! If this gives you any idea of what the clientele is like that goes to this place and it doesn't sound like fun having to deal with in the locker room and showers, don't go here. Some good things I can say about this Irvine Club Studio is they do have a clean pool to use, and one of the managers, Julia, was really helpful with dealing with a problem that came up. The trouble with this place is they're just usually too busy trying to cater to the over-entitled instead of doing a good job of running a gym.

Some courts had things better but overall it was a little disappointing. Flooring is hardwood so that's a plus, but quality of it isn't too good. It feels like sauna in there, with no ventilation and air flow. Luckily it's air conditioned in the cafe area.Dirty bathrooms daily overall the long weekend. Another downer is no in-and-outs for parking. First off $20 ain't cheap for parking. Also having games and other venues and having to come back, we spent $60 for parking for one of the days of this 3-day tournament ($40 on one of the other days amongst two facilities and $20 on the last day). And one more thing, you're forced to eat at the facility since there is nothing nearby (otherwise you have to pay for parking again if you leave to get food). Something needs to be done to resolve this hefty parking issue.

We've been here multiple times for tournaments, as most of them seem to be played here. Besides the long drive, the facility is pretty cool. Unfortunately, the parking is limited so most people typically have to pay to park ($20, no cash) at a neighboring facility (usually Rivian) in the industrial center and walk to the Sports Center. Then you pay an additional fee for anyone over 10 years to enter ($10, I believe) and get a wristband so you can exit/re-enter freely. There are somewhere around 40 courts, I believe, and they are all separated by nets. There are aisles carved out for foot traffic to navigate through all the courts but that also means, well, there's a lot of foot traffic. Plus, as you are walking, you must dodge incoming stray volleyballs, and an infinite amount of cameras mounted on tripods by parents who are trying to capture their future professional volleyball superstars' best highlights. I will note that it always seems to be hot inside. I wish they could figure out the climate control. Plus it's soooooo constantly loud inside. You might want to bring ear plugs. I will also note that they offer a food cafe with plenty of good, and healthy, options. I feel like this is the best part of the facility. It's great when you are spending your entire day there and need snacks or meals for your family, or your athlete, in between your games. The enclosed seating area is always full so I prefer to take the food outside on the grass area and eat there. Plus kids can play catch or practice rallying out there while you eat. If you are adventurous, some folks even walk to nearby food options, including Starbucks. This place is kinda cool, I just wish they had one closer to home.

The facility itself is beautiful, upscale, and consistently clean, with thoughtful amenities like Kiehl's products in the locker rooms that make the experience feel elevated. What really makes this gym stand out, though, are the amazing instructors. Cory for spin, Mariah for mat Pilates, and Haly, Isaiah, and Carmen for Alpha are some of my favorites. Last year, around May 2025, they introduced CTR, a reformer-based Pilates class that was a total game changer for me. I no longer needed to go to a separate Pilates studio. Rob and KO helped build the program, and they were both spectacular. Rob is rarely there now, and KO recently left the gym. In my opinion, Anisa Diaz is an exceptional CTR instructor. Honestly, she's great in every class I've taken with her, including spin and mat Pilates. No two CTR classes with her are ever the same. She's incredibly knowledgeable about the human body, has excellent flow, and every movement feels intentional and challenging in the best way. She consistently brings fresh ideas and new challenges that keep the classes engaging and fun. She truly elevated the entire experience. However, over the past few months, some of her classes have been cut, and I feel the CTR program has started to feel lacking and subpar. Because of that, I've found myself returning to private Pilates studios like Drenched OC, Anodetome, Sol, and Jetset Pilates, which are all fantastic if you're considering a private studio experience. At this point, I mainly take CTR at Life Time only when Anisa is teaching. Overall, I'm still very happy with Life Time. I just wish they would bring more energy -- and Anisa -- back to CTR.

The locker room and shower facilities are especially gross. No towels, no bath products, nothing complimentary. You have to bring everything yourself -- even your own lock for the lockers unless you want to pay extra for one that already has a lock attached. For the membership prices they charge, that's ridiculous. The gym/workout area feels like an old budget fitness center from decades ago. Ancient equipment, outdated layout, and just an overall neglected feel. The entire club is in desperate need of a renovation. And if you're joining primarily for tennis, look elsewhere. Tennis clearly takes a backseat now because the club is dominated by pickleball courts. If you're a true tennis player, the nonstop loud popping noise from pickleball paddles will drive you insane. To make things worse, they don't even have a proper app for court reservations. In 2026, you still have to CALL IN to reserve a court like it's 1995. There are far better tennis clubs in Orange County that actually invest in their facilities and tennis programs.

The equipment is clean, well maintained, and there is a strong variety without the constant frustration of not having enough of what you need. The classes are excellent, easily as good as you will find anywhere, and the overall culture on the gym floor is a real plus. People are there to work out, not just socialize. The locker rooms are also a standout, consistently clean and clearly maintained throughout the day, and the front desk team is always friendly, professional, and welcoming while still feeling genuine (even though they are coached im sure). What really sets this location apart is how well it works for families. The kids club is far better than basic childcare, with a wide range of activities like sports skills, art, Spanish, and wall climbing. The pool area is also great for the whole family, with attentive lifeguards, fun family spaces, a separate adults-only area to relax, and good food and drinks available during the summer. It feels like a place where both parents and kids can genuinely enjoy spending time. A few things keep it from being perfect. It would be reasonable to include Parents Night Out in the already high monthly family membership rather than charging extra per child, especially since other Life Time locations do. It is also disappointing that the exceptional basketball courts are gone. Pickleball is clearly in demand, but keeping at least part of the space for a half-court basketball setup would have been a better balance. The old basketball league was a great part of the club, and it is hard not to miss it. We used to belong to the ClubSport Rennissance and it had a lot to offer too - but LT works better for us due to the better pool and kids club, nicer equipment, and more premium feel.

Employees behaved in a professional and courteous manner. As expected, I received a polite call and an email inquiring about whether I'd like to join. I was relieved that there was no pressure sell. The aggregate rating is a 3, but I find the gym attractive, so my rating is a 5.
